Very practical and fast, with a very generous free plan. It complemented my monitoring stack perfectly.

**What do you like best about UptimeRobot?**

It's very seamless to create any monitor we need and the integrations into Slack make it perfect for my team's workflow. We're alerted of outages of resources used by our stack sometimes before the status pages of those resources report it. The support staff is very accommodating as well.

I have no complaints with this product. UptimeRobot hasn't given us any trouble.

We are a news website and it's important to our audience to have a reliable site as information develops. UptimeRobot alerts us about when our site or tools we've built for reporters go down, which enables us to take immediate action.

**What do you like best about UptimeRobot?**

The free plan is really good for people who self host some pages / services. The status page is neat looking. There are plenty monitoring methods, like simple HTTPS response check, ping, port check or keyword check. The 5 minute refresh rate is completely sufficient. You get email notifications when a status changes.

**What do you dislike about UptimeRobot?**

Android app push notifications don't seem to work, which might be a free plan limitation, but there is no "upgrade" label beside its option. An android home screen widget would be really helpful for a quick glance. The web UI has 2 versions right now, and some things can only be found here or there, which is a bit confusing.

It notifies me when one of my websites go down. It gives a detailed status history for all my websites.

**What do you like best about UptimeRobot?**

I've been using the service for about a month. It has a user-friendly android app. In free plan, they ping my domain every 5 minutes and if it is down, I'm notified on my phone. I can see a chart for downtimes occurred in last day, last week and last month. I can also see average response time of my server in milliseconds in the last 24 hours. If you want to have ping interval of less than 5 minutes, you can buy paid plans. They can also notify you by telegram, SMS and phone call but I have not used these options since they cost me money and I wanted to go with the free services.

**What do you dislike about UptimeRobot?**

Sometimes the android app logs out itself and I have to log in again. The web dashboard should be more user-friendly.

**What problems is UptimeRobot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I manage a VPS on AWS. Recently, a few times it happened that the server had a sudden spike of CPU utilization and it stopped working until I would restart it. Unfortunately, I could notice the incident only after hours of server downtime and it made the users unhappy. UptimeRobot checks my website every 5 minutes and notifies me on my phone when an outage occurs.

I have been using UptimeRobot for monitoring websites and services hosted in AWS, specifically for general red light, yellow light, and green light monitoring. The service has been invaluable in allowing our administrators to respond immediately to any failures, ensuring a 99% uptime. This prompt response is crucial, especially given the occasional website failures due to resource limitations or unforeseen technical disruptions.<br><br>I am very satisfied with the service and the customer support provided by UptimeRobot. Although I haven't utilized all the features they offer, the ones I have used have been reliable and effective. Over the past few months of testing UptimeRobot, it has consistently treated me well, providing the monitoring and support I need to maintain our services.

I would like UptimeRobot to incorporate additional features around running custom scripts for website monitoring (such as health checks that are specific to certain services) which could help improve response times.

In a matter of seconds you create a sensor and you are already monitoring your service. In addition, the free version has everything you need, if you are a professional you may need the paid version, but with the free version you can carry out effective monitoring

Only with the mobile version, I have had a problem that it does not generate a site down alert, but it does arrive in the email, so it is not a big problem

**What do you like best about UptimeRobot?**

I enjoy their new interface which makes working with their tools much easier. 

Getting started with UptimeRobot is quick and doesn't require complex steps for most setups. Implementing it is as easy as adding your domain and choosing how and what you want to monitor. Standard monitor is HTTP, but they also offer Ping, Keyword and Port for free. Cron/Heartbeat monitoring is available on Solo plan and may need a bit more of work to setup, but not super difficult either.

The free plan is very generous for small companies or hobbyists just getting started and they keep checking the URLs every 5 minutes and send you a notification via email and push (through their mobile app) when they detect changes on your uptime. 

There's also a customizable Service Status page so you can display your uptime to clients (very useful if you're an agency selling website creation + hosting).

**What do you dislike about UptimeRobot?**

I wish their free plan could show more historical data than just 30 days. You also can't comment on incidents unless you pay for a plan, but that is expected, they gotta make money some way.

UptimeRobot helps me keep tabs with my online services and servers, making sure they're always available. I manage almost 20 websites and it would be very difficult to check each and everyone for uptime manually. UptimeRobot makes this work a breeze.

**What do you like best about UptimeRobot?**

I can't remember when we started with UptimeRobot. When I found them, I couldn't be more thrilled. I have a lot of websites that I'm responsible for and needed fast notification for when sites were down. The notifications keeps me ahead of clients calling me to tell me. I can notify them that we're aware of the problem and jump on fixing things before they are even aware. It allows me to give GREAT customer service and instill confidence in my customers that I'm on top of things. The mobile app just gives me faster notification and review of the details.

**What do you dislike about UptimeRobot?**

I've not ran into anything I dislike. If I had something, I'd share it. But I've been completely satisfied with the service. It provides the service I need.

Developer tools with excellent UI and user experience can be pretty hard to find, but this tool is so easy to use that I can recommend it to my clients without technical skills. It's simple and not overly complicated but still has all the features I need. The free plan is great with 50 URLs, which is plenty for a one-person team!

I haven't found anything I dislike so far.

It instantly alerts me if one of my client's sites go down and that let's me intervene so quickly that my clients are impressed.

**What do you like best about UptimeRobot?**

Simple, direct and scalable.

UptimeRobot has given me the possibility of always knowing what is happening to a client's website before they do, which gives me the power to OPEN a support ticket to tell them they had a problem and that it is solved (instead of the other way around).

The pricing scales too quickly to the point that sometimes it becomes better to use open-source solutions.

**What do you like best about UptimeRobot?**

Easy go to UI and non-complicated monitoring setup for general users. Installation was super fast and app was synchronizing automatically once logged in. The essence of the best is that combination with web and app, it made sure of the notification to the user so that user is fully notified of any changes on the monitoring target. Moreover, I love the feature of making use of mobile phone's notification feature in full (e.g. utilizing Critical Alerts feature ) There is no need to alter in target monitoring systems so it has no impact on the system side. There was a short outage in one of the monitoring target and not only it provided the prominent alert but also post incident information (even for free) was good enough to start root cause analysis, and I am expecting this will be more in depth if the commercial version is used. The dashboard of new UI needs to be fit into one screen so that there is no need to scroll. What I liked in the current version is the "TV Mode" as many times this dashboard needs to be projected and glanced but if there needs scrolling, it does not serve the purpose. Also, one suggestion is to have each monitoring target can be provided with 1-2 display option (such as list type or block type (for many targets together) and if there are more than 50, which cannot be fit into one screen, a grouping of the monitoring targets should be displayed in one level up.

I really needed someone to splash me whenever there is a problem on the website in any of the way (mobile alarm, sms, phone call, etc.. ) as the usual monitoring tool only sends out email which does not help... with various monitoring features (especially SSL :-) ) I am expecting the website monitoring can be hassle free to be notified and start trouble shooting without letting the system down for a long time.

Uptime Robot responds to the problem that we had of being able to independently monitor the quality off service being received from our service providers. 
We previousl used their free tier for quite a while which worked very well and is what allowed us to confidently move up to the Team version, which was primarily for the muliple user benefit.
We use the tool everyday and its great that we can access it on our mobile devices and get info at a glance!

It would be great if we could use the same tool to monitor critical devices within our local network ;). I do think that the online chat support is sometimes not so friendly, and I assume this has someting to do with a language barrier, but otherwise ther isn't much not to like.

**What do you like best about UptimeRobot?**

Using UptimeRobot for monitoring my servers since December and I’m more than satisfied with the alerts when they aren’t running properly. You can automatically ping your websites for free every 5 minutes on up to 50 addresses.

**What do you dislike about UptimeRobot?**

I have no reservation in recommending Uptime.

**What problems is UptimeRobot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UptimeRobot alerts me when my pages go down so I can restart them asap.

I noticed a horrendous number of outages working with one of our hosting suppliers, especially on Sundays when we were trying to work. Now the provider cannot deny it.

**What do you like best about UptimeRobot?**

Reliable and flexible alerts options. Combined with our internal early warning devices, UptimeRobot service put our company ahead of the situation and manage expectation before disaster strikes (client noticing the issue).

**What do you dislike about UptimeRobot?**

On the services that they offer, I have no negative comments. But I do feel like that they can do more than just http(s), keyword, ping, port and heartbeat monitoring. Looking forward for their future innovation on monitoring.

**What problems is UptimeRobot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Client facing website/services must be available 24/7 as much as possible. With UptimeRobot alerts, we able to manage client expectation before they can even notice it. We able to keep a cool headed clients as much as possible.

**What do you like best about UptimeRobot?**

Uptime Robot provides immediate visibility to availability of online services, both our own services and those of partners. This allows us to respond immediately, especially outside of business hours, instead of waiting for staff to start work. This means that when sites go down unexpectedly, we can call in the necessary support resources at the earliest possible stage.

**What do you dislike about UptimeRobot?**

Cost of text message bundles is a bit high.

**What problems is UptimeRobot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The primary problem it solves is providing immediate, early notice of site down incidents. When these happen outside of normal business hours, we get alerts to our phones that allow us to respond immediately, rather than only discovering the failure next morning in the office.

It's simple and easy to use. I have it set up with my portfolio of sites and client sites and that I think vouches for my trust in the tool.

The UX can be improved. It feels too busy and distracts from what I need to do and check.

It helps me monitor my sites to make sure they're always responding with a 200 response code.

**What do you like best about UptimeRobot?**

I've been using UptimeRobot for many years now, to monitor academic sites such as digital editions and sites for academic organizations. It's been flawless and completely reliable, and I would recommend it to anyone. It has a simple and intuitive interface, a useful feature-set in the free tier, and it's completely reliable. I've never needed any customer support.

Nothing. I've never had a single problem with it.

In my work I run and publish dozens of websites on different servers, and UptimeRobot lets me know within five minutes if anything goes down or becomes unreachable.

**What do you like best about UptimeRobot?**

We worked with the Uptime Robot team to set up monitoring on thousands of sites. It was incredibly easy. 

We've got email alerts and Slack alerts enabling us to act immediately on any problems with the sites we are monitoring. We were able to tune the alerts settings to exactly the level of information that is actionable and not noise—if you alert on too many things, it's the boy who cried wolf ... if you alert on too few things, you miss major problems. With UptimeRobot, we could strike the right balance easily.

**What do you dislike about UptimeRobot?**

Honestly, we didn't really run into issues working with UptimeRobot.

**What problems is UptimeRobot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking the uptime of websites is super important to us—we offer web hosting. We need to be notified as soon as possible when downtime events happen, so we can address them.
