## About Upbase
Upbase is project management software built specifically for small agencies running client work. Most project management tools are built for internal teams. They treat clients as an afterthought: invite a client to a project and they see everything or nothing. Work for one client is scattered across projects, with no single place to see it all. And you don't find out if a project was profitable until it's too late. Upbase is built around the client, not the project. That means: - Profit tracking by project and by client, updating as your team logs time — so you catch margin problems before they eat your profit - Client-level dashboards that show every project, deliverable, and open item for a client in one place - Granular client sharing — share individual tasks or files with clients instead of opening up the whole project - Time tracking with timesheets by client, making invoicing and reporting effortless - Built-in daily planner that keeps each team member focused on today's work - Everything lives in one clean workspace: projects, tasks, docs, files, chat, and client collaboration. No bloat. No nested menus. No three-month onboarding. Built for agencies of 1–20 people.

## Upbase Reviews
 ### 1. Good for family tasks, rubbish for real team work.

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Denis D. | Founder/CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Upbase?**

I guess it’s okay for a one-man show. It feels like adding a simple task, like “get the milk.”

**What do you dislike about Upbase?**

I bought into it because it was presented as being for teams, but there’s basically nothing here that actually supports teams. There’s no real control over anything related to team management, and it doesn’t feel like I can manage or govern team settings in any meaningful way. On top of that, there are no webhooks, and the automation options feel limited and buggy.

**What problems is Upbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We don’t know what they’re fixing. The roadmap is useless, and it doesn’t give any real clarity. Sometimes a new version comes out based on something only five people voted for, while the main issues remain untouched.

 ### 2. Instant File Uploads and Shareable Links Make Upbase a Breeze

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sheung Chun Y. | Support, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Upbase?**

We can upload files and share the links directly from Upbase immediately.

**What do you dislike about Upbase?**

So far we are very happy with Upbase and don't see any problems

**What problems is Upbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Upbase let us creates different workspaces to manage different projects. We can also invite other members to work on the project.

 ### 3. BEST All in One Project Management Platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marcelina H. | Certified Hypnotist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Upbase?**

After trying MANY different project management platforms that were missing one thing or another, I was so happy to FINALLY find project management peace. Not only is this platform customizable and offers a robust variety of features, customer service and updates are phenomenal. There are always new features being released and the team takes feedback and actually works towards giving users what they need. Many platforms have bugs, but I haven't found any.

**What do you dislike about Upbase?**

I wanted to change the names of the areas for projects from Spotlight to something else, but couldn't. Even though that's not possible now, the owner said they would implement that option in a near future update.

**What problems is Upbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have so many ideas and projects going on at the same time. I love how I can keep my projects in silos, add ideas to each, and then organize them according to what works for me as I work.

 ### 4. Makes working fun again!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yael R. | WordPress Web Design + Branding + Content , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Upbase?**

Every feature is so well thought out. Just like my obsession with words -- make every word count -- the Upbase team has cut all the fat and bloat that you find in many other project management apps and made every feature count.

And it's so simple to use. Power + Simplicity with every feature added done with utmost thought and care.

**What do you dislike about Upbase?**

I've heard others express concern minimal integrations currently available, however, that's not an issue for me. Being able to embed and work on Google docs within Upbase and create docs directly within Upbase to work on with clients is all I need and simply wonderful not to have to go to an external app to work on copy and content.

**What problems is Upbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coordinating my work with clients as a web designer and branding consultant. All conversations, documents, project tasks, are all in one place -- and the workspace and UI is simple, streamlined, and intuitive even for my clients.

 ### 5. Game-Changer in Productivity Space

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brooks J. | Consultant, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Upbase?**

Evaluated almost all productivity apps (40+ solo and workgroup) - this app is an _order of magnitude_ better than anything I've seen - extremely well-designed architecture supports drag n drop folder-list-task-subtask hierarchy, custom fields, integrated notes and docs, and scheduling. Use it for both personal productivity and full-stack app dev projects - simple for the former, as detailed as I need for complex projects. Drag n drop wekly-daily scheduling facilitates organizing disparate tasks into a unified daily plan. --> Although this is a relatively new entry in the productivity market, it's already functionally rich (enough to warrant migration off my current TM and PM toolset). Excellent balance between ease-of-use and feature set, so managing tasks is actually enjoyable. Support is awesome - response in LT 12 hours.

**What do you dislike about Upbase?**

no free coffee. Need custom fields added to filter options, but Upbase has already confirmed this on the planned backlog list.

**What problems is Upbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it for both personal productivity and project management. But the new twist is integrated weekly-daily planning - have not had such an easy-to-use scheduling tool before Upbase.

 ### 6. Simple, Perfect for 1-Person Business

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ramon W. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Upbase?**

I've tried dozens of productivity tools. What I like best about Upbase is that it's simple enough to work for the solopreneur. Also, Upbase doesn't force a specific approach. It's flexible so you can use it in the way that works best for you.

**What do you dislike about Upbase?**

It not so much a dislike, more of a wishlist item: I would like a guided process to set up the coming week and day.

**What problems is Upbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps me begin each day with clarity.

 ### 7. Great alternative to Asana

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Upbase?**

I've been looking for an Asana alternative and this tool does just that. Creating projects and tasks is very easy and simple. The internal chat feature is a great addition. Although we use Slack, it's still a great option to have when discussing specific projects. The only thing missing is the fact that you can cannot create subtasks of substasks like Asana. I hope they add this feature. Even without this feature, the tool is great for even the average user.

**What do you dislike about Upbase?**

The main feature that's missing is the inability to create subtasks of subtasks.

**What problems is Upbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Project management and team task monitoring

 ### 8. An Effective Project Management Tool Without The Clutter

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul T. | English Second Language Teacher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Upbase?**

I appreciate platform's essential features like time blocking, a Pomodoro timer, and daily notes, all in one place. I also love Upbase's intentionally minamallistic design. Its clutter-free user interface minimizes distractions, allowing me to focus on my work without feeling overwhelmed.

**What do you dislike about Upbase?**

It would be great if there were a way to duplicate the docs I create on the fly. Currently, it is posible by creating templates, but a duplicate feature just makes things a bit more efficient for me.

**What problems is Upbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It eliminates the need to switch between multiple apps and tools, thus saving me time and reducing distractions. More importantly, I find it very useful to create docs to notify my students on their homework or to create exercises because I am able to share this link to them very easily.

 ### 9. Just What I Needed

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian C. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Upbase?**

I love the layout. The functionality is the best that I have used. The Google Calendar integration is awesome Love it

**What do you dislike about Upbase?**

Support is very helpful and great but it does take a little while to hear back at this time. That will get better

**What problems is Upbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mananging my marketing agency. I used another software and I canceled it prettier quick after I started using it

 ### 10. one of the worst

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Upbase?**

It is easy to use and has a simple interface.

**What do you dislike about Upbase?**

It lacks many important features, integration options are limited, and customer support is not very responsive. Implementation was easy, but the tool doesn’t fully meet my needs for frequent use. I used it daily.

**What problems is Upbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Upbase helps with basic task organization and team collaboration, making it easier to track daily work. However, its limited features and integrations reduce overall efficiency.

 ### 11. Best tool for team colloboration and Managing Task

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rini S. | Inside Sales Representative, E-Learning, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Upbase?**

It has comprehensive task management such as a task list etc. Calendar and Timeline which helps to prioritize the tasks.Chat which helps to share the details within the groups. A shared workspace helps the team communicate easily and maintain tags based on priority. Mobile apps are designed for both Android and IOS. It can also be integrated to various third party such as Google Drive to collaborate easily.

**What do you dislike about Upbase?**

Often there is no notification received like if the task is added or chat received etc. It has a documentation option where it would be better if they organize the name of who has added those documents.

**What problems is Upbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adding all in one plan such as tickets, workflows, documents, and tasks.

 ### 12. All-in-one App for project management, task planning, scheduler, productivity app.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shiv M. | Full Stack Developer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Upbase?**

Upbase is an incredible project management, tasks planner, calendar(time-blocker ), note-taking, and team collaboration app for 2024. It’s so effective that it should be on everyone’s computer and mobile phone. Especially for students and teachers, it's a must-have app. As a working professional, I found it to be a life-changer. It offers a highly inspiring, minimalist UX that enhances productivity. Upbase combines all the features of Notion, Ankiflow, Reclaim.ai, and Todoist into one universal productivity app. Mac should take note and consider replacing its Notes and Reminders apps with Upbase. Despite its low price, a single day's use can save enough time to cover the cost of a year’s Upbase membership. The developers should reach out to universities and encourage chancellors to make it the default app for all teachers and students. It’s truly a game-changing app. Currently, I use it for my personal work and studies, and I plan to encourage its use as a project planning app in my company. It has all the capabilities to excel in project and/or personal workflow management. Kudos to the team for creating such a mind-blowing app.

**What do you dislike about Upbase?**

More config options like individual and team in settings so that chat, messages, created by you, assigned to you options will go away. More drag and drop options everywhere. More config options every(hide/show) so that UI should look more minimal. These are not must to have but some users these may help.

**What problems is Upbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's all in one app. Project management, task planning, Calender app, bookmark manager, note taking app, team collaboration, etc. It is life chager for me now.

 ### 14. I really love this Project Managment software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aarón U. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Upbase?**

I have tried many project management tools before (and who hasn't 😅), but this one is the one that has REALLY helped me keep all my projects organized and stay on top of everything. I got to understand it and work with it in no time, and I like how simple the interface is, and even though they keep adding features at a good pace, they always find ways to integrate them so the interface remains simple and easy to understand.

I use it every day and overall I really like how this software works; it is fast, and the organization suits me very well. It is easy to collaborate with team members, organize my week in different views, add and organize projects, add colorful tags to organize tasks across projects, link tasks and documents as "related" items, and use the convenient bar at the bottom to add tasks, documents, and more for easy access. I really enjoy using Upbase and I am very happy that I found it.

Every time I had to contact customer support to report small bugs or ask questions, they got back to me promptly and replied kindly.

**What do you dislike about Upbase?**

It is a young platform, and even if it is fully-featured, well-thought-out, and easy to use, you can sometimes encounter a small bug here and there that makes some things a bit more complicated than necessary. But, in general, they are fast to fix them.

One thing I really don't like is the chat feature, I think it would need to be redone completely.

**What problems is Upbase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Really intuitive, easy, and fast organization of all my projects, from design to development, to photography, content creation. It is incredibly flexible and can adapt to any kind of project.

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Upbase?**

Before Upbase, I used Asana. Asana does a good job and is great but it's more expensive and doesn't have chat like Upbase does. Currently, I have 2 accounts on Upbase and it works perfectly! I plan to continue using it, and I suggest you try the trial version.

Thank you,
Dusan
