Additionally, the website could benefit from improvements in user experience. One area that stands out is the turnaround time for background checks, which can take up to three weeks for multiple candidates. It would be greatly appreciated if there were more transparency regarding these delays. **What problems is Universal Background Screening solving and how is that benefiting you?** Unfortunately, rather than solving problems, Universal Background Screening has only exasterbated these issues and created new ones. ### 2. I like the layout of the website and that it can be integrated with HR softwares! **What do you dislike about Universal Background Screening?** Universal Background Screening sometimes can take too long to get a background check complete. There have been times where I've had to wait 2 weeks to get a background check complete. When hiring, this can be frustrating for us the employer and the candidate. It holds up the process and sometimes creates unnecessary delays. There have been times where I've placed a rush on an order, and it has still taken several more days to get completed. The Drug Screening process can also be a bit confusing for the candidates because everything comes in one email and they miss the info about the drug screen or don't understand what they need to do - so this leads to me having to follow up with the candidates multiple times and having to explain the whole process/walk them through. **What problems is Universal Background Screening solving and how is that benefiting you?** Universal Background Screening solves our need to conduct compliant background and drug screenings! ### 3. If I ever had a problem, I would contact them via email and they were quick to respond. **What do you dislike about Universal Background Screening?** Backgrounds are much slower than others. **What problems is Universal Background Screening solving and how is that benefiting you?** Universal Background Screening did the background checks for our company. The benefits were that we were able to get an accurate background check done. ### 4. UBS was integrated into our applicant system, so when offering a position and getting them set up for education/work history background check, it was literally about 5 clicks of the mouth rather than having to enter a lot of information. **What do you dislike about Universal Background Screening?** The only issues were when they were unable to reach certain employers to verify employment. Sometimes it seemed like they could have tried a little more often, and it was sometimes tough to get in touch with someone. **Recommendations to others considering Universal Background Screening:** I would recommend having a conversation with them to see if they are able to integrate their services into your applicant tracking system. If that can be done, it makes everything so simple and streamlined. **What problems is Universal Background Screening solving and how is that benefiting you?** We switched from a different company to UBS. They were both to do the same thing, but UBS saved us money and made it an easier process to get the checks started. ### 5. They have non-preferred locations that charge extra but they never disclose the additional amount. I needed to do several background checks at my job and this made it an easy process. Things like this aren’t my favorite task to do so it was nice that it was simple and easy to understand. Maybe the fact that we have to do background checks on people, haha! It would be so much nicer if we could trust everyone.
