I can get creative in terms of how I setup the course to make it a great experience for participants. **What do you dislike about Thinkific?** I can't say I dislike anything. I'm sure the platform will continue to grow and as I build more courses, I'll use more of its functionality. **Recommendations to others considering Thinkific:** I used Teachable and Mighty Networks course platforms before coming to Thinkific. I did a lot of research when I realized these platforms weren't for me. I also completed a 6 month course using a Thinkific platform managed by the course provider. I've thus had a student experience which was great and now I'm setting up my own courses here. I really do enjoy using the platform and can't recommend it highly enough. **What problems is Thinkific solving and how is that benefiting you?** I'm really just a new user but having tried Teachable and Mighty Networks, I really love the professional look that I get with Thinkific. Students have also shared that it is user-friendly. There are various options to create content with, such as video, audio, text, etc. There are different ways to make the course material engaging such as quizzes. I also really love that the videos you upload remain in a library so it's easy to transfer one video to another course if needed. It's great that you can have multiple courses running at once. **What do you dislike about Thinkific?** As a small business who does not use all the feature, I find it fairly expensive. On the other hand, I would appreciate it if there were more flexible payment plan options, a sliding payment scale, and coupon code options to provide exclusive discounts. I don't use the selling/payment integration, landing page and confirmation email features or this reason. Everything except for the course itself is done externally and students enroll for "free". **Recommendations to others considering Thinkific:** Overall, Thinkific is an excellent platform for delivering teaching material and courses. However, I'm not sure this is the best option for small businesses that care about providing different payment plan options and discounts. **What problems is Thinkific solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's providing a platform for me to run courses on! I love the security. I love the backoffice features like monitoring and moderating access to our material. It also provides us with marketing, and ultimately compensation possibilities. Great Platform for our training videos. **What do you dislike about Thinkific?** It would be lovely if it could accommodate all the translations that we have, for the various people groups. As a Not-for-profit, it is just too deer for us to maximize our training for each of the 21 language groups we are catering for at present. Since we basically have 6 different courses, it transcends the ability of our resources. **What problems is Thinkific solving and how is that benefiting you?** We wanted to have a drop and play platform where we could monitor progress, and monitor who watches what. We were looking for a secure platform where we could know for certain who actually views our material, as well as create a medium by which we could interact with those who watch the various videos. We also wanted to track the progress of participants, as well as provide a pathway for those who successfully complete the associated Assimilation Sheets, to be rewarded with a certificate of compliance and completion. Connecting Zoom sessions to build out courses made it easier to give all participants access to the sessions at the same time. Thinkific was our organization's solution to meeting the needs of our users who were accustomed to our annual physical training but we were restricted during the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic. Thinkific's premium plans are affordable thereby allowing smaller businesses to scale upward quickly. Finally, our team enjoyed admin features which allowed us to maximize the training experience for all. The Thinkific team was very helpful in responding to our queries and recommending solutions. **What do you dislike about Thinkific?** There were very few things that we disliked while using Thinkific. Possibly lack of marketing our course by Thinkific on their platform(s). The inability to access payment options based on our region of the world/country, to receive payments - this was our greatest limitation. The last would be the restriction to three courses unless on a premium plan - because our training activities are usually once a year, Thinkific is one way that we could potentially have courses up for all time use but the restriction would mean that since new users checking for courses throughout the year may not be a high intake, there may be a loss. We accessed this for our first few months of using Thinkific and our first year of being on Thinkific off of a plan. **What problems is Thinkific solving and how is that benefiting you?** Thinkific is helping us to solve one of our business problems of providing digital and creative education to our young and mature users virtually due to the physical restrictions of the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, we also tackled the problem of ensuring the safety and well-being of our users and team. Thinkific had by far the best and most immersive experience for my students and customers. **What do you dislike about Thinkific?** The sales and business management features are not as strong as others, but these are all things that are better off having in your own native website in any case. Importantly, the features that Thinkific has that the other LMS platforms do not have, would be VERY difficult to build or add-on by yourself. **Recommendations to others considering Thinkific:** Thinkific has the most features of any product on the market for managing your LMS and your student's learning experience. Other tools have better sales funnels, but these are things you can build outside of Thinkific. The features that Thinkific has that the competitors do not are very difficult to try to build yourself and would make the learning experience limited or clumsy **What problems is Thinkific solving and how is that benefiting you?** An incredible LMS that allows me to bring all kinds of learning material in and enrich my learners' experience. And, with the addition of diplomas and membership areas, you can make the student experience even better and build a full business around it. From a student perspective, Thinkific is also very easy to use. **What do you dislike about Thinkific?** There is not much to dislike on Thinkific, but if I have to choose it would be the pricing. Thinkific is not the cheapest Learning Management System, but the fact that it offers a free service makes up for it. That way, you can test out the platform and it's most important functions before you buy it. **Recommendations to others considering Thinkific:** If you are looking for a learning management system for your business, Thinkific will be your best choice. We don't sell any courses, and we use them for company internal learning only. Right now, we need to add them as private or hidden and manually enroll each student (employees) every time. **Recommendations to others considering Thinkific:** Thinkific has an incredible price for small businesses, and its platform is user-friendly and straightforward. You don't need to have deep knowledge of Webdesign to create your landing pages. It allows me to make better use of my time - I save, on average, 3-hours of marking per day! An added bonus - I was pandemic ready! <3 I am so grateful to Thinkific for enabling me to uphold the same level of service and maintain an income during these trying times. I started using Thinkific as a tool for independent practice for learners who were spread across Asia - I needed a solution that provided learners with digital (easy to access) practices that could fit in with their busy schedules and didn't add to or duplicate my workload (marking the same tasks for many students over and over). I was previously using Google Classroom, which meant using a variety of applications and the need to link them into classroom streams individually, however, I wasn't gaining more time in my schedule - quite the opposite! On the other hand, Thinkific offers a range of 'applications' from quizzes and surveys, external multimedia, assessments and downloads, as well as video and audio, in one place - easily copied to other courses without spending time and effort re-inputting data. Thinific's reporting functionality allows me to monitor progress (quickly) and provides parent/guardian feedback which is backed up by activity logs and outcomes, available at the click of a button. With ready to use templates that guide you, along with a variety of functions to offer an engaging experience, Thinkific has continued to provide a space that my learners enjoy and doesn't cost the earth to join nor specialist knowledge to create. I work with practitioners in different time zones, providing different areas of tuition and guidance - Thinkfic allows my business to have everything in one place - different user roles puts me in control of what others can see, edit and use and learners have access to the same tools and service, regardless of their programme or aims. The availability of add-ons like Brillium (assessment) and Zoom (live lessons) enhances the learning experience - bringing everything to one place. Stripe and Paypal connections, alongside marketing and analytic tools reduce administration and staffing - linking all areas of the business. **What do you dislike about Thinkific?** I have been using Thinkific for 3-years or so and it continues to adapt and provide features you don't realise you need - pushing your to continuously adapt and improve your own provision! In the future, I am looking forward to being able to offer an adaptive learning space, differentiating learning and making it even more accessible. **Recommendations to others considering Thinkific:** Thinkific has something for everyone, whether you are a teacher or tutor, a consultant or agency, and regardless of how you deliver courses - entirely online, through blended learning, subscription or membership. It's very intuitive and easy to navigate, and the ability to integrate payment software and email software makes it a perfect platform for hosting my courses. The price is absolutely fantastic, I'm on the Pro Plan + Growth Package, and it gives me incredible value, and I've made my investment back many times over. The ability for private and hidden courses allows me to create additional bonus content for marketing and it's an additional asset in my marketing funnel. The ActiveCampaign and Zapier integrations are the cherry on top. These allow me to automate a lot of administrative work, and save me hours of administrative work. **What do you dislike about Thinkific?** I dislike very little to be honest, because it does exactly what I want it to do. I would have to be rather nitpicky to find small things I don't like. To be able to host, say 2 domains on the current plan without having to make a massive jump to Premier plan would be something I'd like to have. I suppose I would like the ability to integrate other payment software aside from stripe, but, that would be about it. **Recommendations to others considering Thinkific:** I looked at other platforms such as Teachable and Kajabi, but Thinkific really beats them hands down. The price, value and features available made it a no-brainer for what I wanted to do in my business. **What problems is Thinkific solving and how is that benefiting you?** I can host my courses on an incredibly easy-to-use platform, where almost everything can be taken care of natively within the software. It makes my life VERY easy. The courses look professional and my students have no complaints. It looks good on both mobile and web browser. I love the drip feature that Thinkific offers for my student's learning and being able to tailor their learning experience. I love how easy it was to set up the multi-pay links for courses, which we had troubles with in the past! **What do you dislike about Thinkific?** With the multi-pay links, I wish there was a way that customers could access the cart and checkout page without needing to create an account first. **Recommendations to others considering Thinkific:** It seems to be the platform that has ironed out all of the kinks that their competitors have. **What problems is Thinkific solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are training and coaching Shopify store owners to grow their sales. It confuses my students because they are clicking the category tile to see the courses, not the links. I can see them going back and forth looking for the courses, not realizing that the courses are at the bottom of the page. The courses should be at the top of the page and the links should be at the bottom of the page... **Recommendations to others considering Thinkific:** Thinkific is, in my opinion, the best course creator platform on the market today and a life saver for my court ordered education institute. **What problems is Thinkific solving and how is that benefiting you?** The platform I was formerly using did not come with a website and so I was having to pay a website builder to design the site and upload the links of my 300 courses; with Thinkific, my website is being created for me in the background so all I have to do is plug in images and information. I love the community feature and that you can sort users into groups, and also message students from within the platform. Students are finding the course easy to use. The landing page builder is pretty intuitive and the templates are gorgeous. I've used Kajabi and Teachable, and they don't hold a candle to Thinkific. Plus, all of Thinkific's learning resources show that they know exactly what people will be asking about the platform. Their instructions and troubleshooting is very straightforward. I think the most important part is that they aren't shy about stating their platform's limitations which saves the user so much time researching and helps to manage our expectations. **What do you dislike about Thinkific?** I think there should be more customizability on what students can have access to in the course. For example, I'd like my students to always have access to the content but not be able to submit assignments or attend Zoom calls after 90-days. Right now, they either have full access or none at all. Maybe this could be a function of the drip feature? I would also like more nuanced features in the integrations with ActiveCampaign and Zoom. It'd also be handy to have an in-platform library of GIFs. **What problems is Thinkific solving and how is that benefiting you?** Providing a course that's on-brand and easy to access. I love that I can message students from within the platform but also tag and track activity with the ActiveCamapign integration. It's really handy having the Zoom integration, too. ### 44. I especially appreciate the way the platform is optimized to promote learning. As an author, course creator and Thinkific expert, I help creative experts, entrepreneurs, innovators,and outside-the-box thinkers turn their unique intellectual property into high impact courses that deliver real transformation. I teach, coach, and consult in the areas of learning design and online course creation, and find that using Thinkific helps my students and clients get their courses set up easily, fast, and well. I also love the platform for presenting my own courses. I appreciate the way you can integrate a Thinkific school with your website in a way that is seamless, bringing the functionality and security features of a complete online school to your website. While there are many great course platforms out there, I find that Thinkific offers the best combination of functionality, easy of use, versatility, focus on learning design, security, and price, especially for experts and entrepreneurs who want to create courses for their own business without having to rely on an in-house IT department or security team. **What do you dislike about Thinkific?** I personally don't dislike anything about Thinkific, but as with all platforms, there are features that would make it even better. One improvement I would like to see would be a streamlined way for course participants to download and open PDF files. Another enhancement I would like to see, would be the addition of a learning object level beyond the current options of course level, chapter level, and lesson level. Thinkific is easy to use, but there can be a learning curve at first as users get used to how the interface works. If you think of the components of Thinkific as being like small building blocks that build on each other, rather than as being similar to the way things work in WordPress, it will be much easier to get the hang of things quickly. **Recommendations to others considering Thinkific:** Take a little time at the beginning to learn how the platform works. Practice setting up a simple, sample course. Take advantage of the free support and resources Thinkific provides, and the excellent Facebook community. If you need additional support after that, reach out to one or more Thinkific experts in the area you need help with. **What problems is Thinkific solving and how is that benefiting you?** Whether for myself or my clients, I've used (and helped many, many others use) Thinkific to create powerful learning in multiple ways. My Course Design Formula® Master Course uses a series of evergreen action plans (each of which is a separate short Thinkific course) bundled together within the context of a cohort-based main course, to provide a way for participants in my mastermind to get hands-on practice in applying the principles we discuss in our weekly live class meetings. I've helped clients create yearly subscription programs that drip out one month at a time and can be renewed for a second, third, or subsequent years if need be. I use Thinkific to create custom coaching areas for my long term coaching clients, and to help clients quickly see how their course idea is going to come together and take shape as a real course. The ability to copy lessons within a course (or from one course to another), and to copy whole courses, makes the platform very versatile. While you may not be able to do everything on Thinkific that a custom coder could set up, for me the ease and speed of use, enterprise-level security, supportive customer service, highly engaged community, and the many options provided by the ability to start by creating small building blocks and then combine them in various ways, are more valuable. ### 46. Easy setup.. I launched the whole program in two days that was amazing. I just uploaded all my prerecorded videos and that's it few quizzes and assignment all done. More importantly I can have blended mode of training as well both live classes and on-demand classes. During COVID19 situation it was very hard for the travel and other arrangements but THINKIFIC solved those problems. With Course- admin feature I am now able to collaborate independently with many course creators in my platform itself. I liked the revenue sharing feature. **What do you dislike about Thinkific?** There is no dislike... but I like them to improve in user analytics side of the course. Now I think they have beta version, but more effective analytics will give us more control on the user engagement and experience. Frontend Customisation could be improved much more. Like introducing Liquid template or any other formatting method. **What problems is Thinkific solving and how is that benefiting you?** Before Thinkific I used to conduct in-person training programs, travelling places... My logistics overheads were huge but now I am able to training my course registrants from my home. ### 47. I generally liked their platform, but uploading videos was so sloooow (even with a good connection) and that prompted me to look around for something else. After trying Thinkific, I was super happy that my course videos uploaded in less than 1/4 of the time it took on Teachable. What really prompted me to make the switch was that Thinkific's fees are much less than Teachable's. Also, their landing pages and sales pages are much more customizable. Drag and drop, and lots of nice templates, so they're super easy to build. Thinkific sales pages are really nice looking too. Thinkific is very easy to use, and very customizable. I'm super happy with the options, integrations, and price. **What do you dislike about Thinkific?** My biggest disappointment with Thinkific is the discussion section within the course. Its functionality is really lacking. You can reply to the original poster, but not any subsequent posts so it's difficult to get a back-and-forth discussion going on, or a group discussion between instructor and multiple students. I find my students have difficulty using the discussion board as well, so they just skip it. **What problems is Thinkific solving and how is that benefiting you?** Thinkific allows me to house all of my digital products (free and paid courses, e-books) within the same platform. Also, with integrations I can teach my students live in the platform--much preferable to posting my live vids on my Facebook page as it keeps my students all in one place without sending them all over the internet. If you're looking for ease of use and speed to market Thinkific is the way to go. Oh and their team are just the best - real people that care about the customer's success deeply. Highly recommended. **What problems is Thinkific solving and how is that benefiting you?** We wanted to move from a self hosted LMS (and all the techstack admin that involved) to a SAAS LMS, and also we wanted to open the LMS up to the wider business. We've realised so many time saving benefits, and we've been able to distribute more of the learning functions and responsibilities across the wider business, rather than having one person having to do everything relating to learning.
