"Instant Insights for Beginners, But Advanced Features Feel Out of Reach"
What do you like best about TelemetryDeck?

The thing I appreciate most about TelemetryDeck is how easy and fast it is to implement. It just takes 5 Minutes and I can already see results in my dashboard. I use it for my blog and it's so nice to see the charts go up right after I posted something. The free plan really suits my needs the best, too! I'm not looking into optimizing anything, rather I enjoy the little confidence boost after every upload when the first data points reach the dashboard. The data protection and privacy protection of my blog visitors are just the cherry on top! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TelemetryDeck?

Without a dev background I can't really use most of the other featuers of TelemetryDeck. Getting into Querys and such is off the table for me right now, and I'm also not entirely sure if I would really ever need them, but I also can't tell if I'm missing out either. "Simply lovely"
What do you like best about TelemetryDeck?

TD is super easy to set up, light-weight, privacy focused, and the dashboard is super insightful and configurable. They add a bunch of useful charts automatically (you don't even need to log anything to get things like acquisition, retention, device and system version pie charts, etc), and you can add your own custom dashboards in seconds. I would never consider going to another analytics provider for mobile apps. Lisa and Daniel are always an email away, and solve any problems I have in a matter of days. What do you dislike about TelemetryDeck?

For more advanced dashboards (performing averages or arithmetic), the custom TQL language is difficult to work with. It takes a while to figure out how it works. This is easier now with AI coding assistants (ChatGPT, Claude, etc), but they still sometimes hallucinate. It takes a few iterations of pasting the TQL, copying the error message, and sending that to the AI before it's working. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Privacy-First, User-Friendly Analytics Tool for Indie Developers"
What do you like best about TelemetryDeck?

I have been using TelemetryDeck for over 3 years and find it incredibly useful for tracking user engagement and understanding where my app users are struggling, especially as an indie developer. I initially discovered it through a social media post by Daniel, the founder, and was drawn to its native app and privacy-friendly nature, setting it apart from other more complex and less privacy-conscious solutions. I appreciate how TelemetryDeck is Swift-first, always up-to-date, and technically promising with a transparent freemium model. Migrating to TelemetryDeck was effortless, with a straightforward SDK for integration and easy-to-create basic stats and dashboards. Over time, although there were a few initial UX challenges and missing chart types which were added over time, and its open-source nature allowed me to contribute to the Swift SDK myself. It now exceeds my expectations with built-in pirate metrics, error stats, and purchase tracking, being especially useful for indie developers. Setting up TelemetryDeck is a breeze, taking mere minutes, and the SDK requires minimal effort to deliver significant results with built-in functionality like duration signal tracking. TelemetryDeck provides live usage stats essential for app launches or special offers, much faster than alternatives like App Store Connect. The out-of-the-box, comprehensive built-in charts fulfill my needs without requiring custom dashboards. The privacy-first analytics, built-in charts, timing event duration tracking, error tracking, and automatic purchase tracking are standout features. Their extensive documentation and supportive community via Slack make complex scenarios easy to tackle. The platform’s focus both on mobile and web, coupled with its user-friendly and privacy-conscious analytics, have solidified its place as my go-to solution for mobile applications. I highly regard and would recommend TelemetryDeck at a 10 out of 10 rating as it delivers unparalleled ease of use and privacy in analytics solutions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TelemetryDeck?

I would love to see a native Mac / iOS app for tracking data. It used to have that but moved to a web dashboard, which I like, but sometimes a native app as an extra option would be nice! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Privacy-Focused Analytics Made Easy with Powerful Built-In Dashboards"
What do you like best about TelemetryDeck?

TelemetryDeck is great for guaranteeing privacy of your users, being GDPR compliant and keeping your app’s Privacy Details in the App Store not scary. It’s easy to setup and won’t result in concerning additions to your privacy policy either.

It comes with useful built-in charts and dashboards tailor-made for mobile apps, including device type breakdowns, OS versions, user language vs device language, daily active users, etc. The user retention chart is also great for understanding what percentage returns to using the app.

It’s really nice that you get all of this without having to even add your own metrics to the app.

For custom analytics, you can define your own signals and duration signals. Duration signals track the time events take, and are specially useful in my case to assess the app’s performance and the time people spend in screens on average. Other services may include more complex concepts like sessions for tracking higher level activities, but TBH I don't miss them, and some of the limitations are probably related to being privacy focused. You don't get as fine-grained tracking, but I value the privacy I get as a result.

The price has been good for me, as an indie developer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As a previous DataDog user, I miss having some kind of alert system when values go above or below a threshold. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Quickly becoming essential"
What do you like best about TelemetryDeck?

It took me awhile to get a handle on TelemetryDeck but once I did I started discovering all sort of new things about my app to improve that other services never surfaced to me. It's easy to setup and I finally have dashboards for monitoring the health of my game, and discovering where people drop off etc. It definitely is a bit underdeveloped but I find it so much more useable (not to mention privacy conscientious) and am therefore learning way more about my app than I ever did using other services.

The best part is whenever I run into issues the founders are extremely attentive to feedback and workaround while they build out the service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TelemetryDeck?

TelemetryDeck is powerful but learning how to use all its features does not come easy. I have a lot of faith that the team will figure out these UX quirks and manage to make it the perfect entry-level yet powerful analytics tool for indies but for now there are growing pains here and there. "Telemetry Deck: Fast, secure, and always ready for use"
What do you like best about TelemetryDeck?

As a security consultant, I regularly use Telemetry Deck because it perfectly combines data protection and user-friendliness. The setup is quick – everything runs in a few minutes – and the software immediately provides clear, understandable data.

I particularly appreciate that data protection is not only considered here but consistently implemented. The data preparation is clear and understandable – ideal, even for less technical users.

In short: Telemetry Deck is a data protection-friendly, straightforward solution that I wholeheartedly recommend. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TelemetryDeck?

A small drawback that I noticed concerns the display in the Edge browser. There are occasional minor display issues here. In most cases, usage is still trouble-free, but it would be nice if this could be optimized in future updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast Setup and Easy Start, But Custom Integration Slows Data Flow"
What do you like best about TelemetryDeck?

The setup process is quick and straightforward, which creates a positive first impression. You can begin developing software that responds to user interactions almost right away. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TelemetryDeck?

Because we rely on custom tracking integration within a software as a service product, we are unable to take advantage of SDKs. As a result, it takes us some time to get the data we want into Telemetry Deck. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TelemetryDeck?

When I add new events, I occasionally encounter difficulties debugging them. I would love to have the time in hours and minutes when checking the signals under "Recent Signals". Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great price/performance ratio"

Privacy focused, very easy to integrate into the app, ease of use, price is affordable. Originally, I considered Mixpanel as an alternative, but TelemetryDeck won. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TelemetryDeck?

Building some queries in the dashboard could be more intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
