Especially with the review and recommendation process as it relates to KYB. **What do you dislike about Sumsub?** Cost. As the majority of startups do not have a big budget. Have to realize once someone has integrated with you as KYC/KYB vendor it is very unlikely they will switch. Being able to handle selfie verification, and document uploading both from a browser iframe has been a great experience. **What do you dislike about Sumsub?** Not a huge fan of how the web SDK is implemented/options are setup. But more of a personal gripe, not a real issue. **What problems is Sumsub solving and how is that benefiting you?** Sumsub has been fantastic at providing accurate data about people put through KYC. They do have some customization features, but not that many. It's easy to get access, no annoying meeting stuff. **What do you dislike about Sumsub?** Their API authentication is absolutely horrible and basically renders their whole service unusable. The Access Sig, even when set up identically to their examples, doesn't work. The API token page shows two totally different tokens, and they are both called "Token," which is very stupid. Requiring to add the seconds of time after UNIX, is so weird and something I've never had to deal with, and I have implemented a lot of APIs over time. Incredibly disappointed. **What problems is Sumsub solving and how is that benefiting you?** I would have solved KYC for paying out royalties, but they've made it incredibly hard to implement, so I haven't actually solved any problems with Sumsub, as their API is really poor. ### 24. SumSub provides Identity + Proof of Address + many other functions. The price is extremely affordable as well. Unlike other solutions that we have used in the past, the service is mostly backed by automated tools to analyze documents. Removing human review from most documents ensures that processing is done with more consistency and less errors. SumSub is also able to add new documents to be processed very quickly. Especially for non-latin character documents which seems to be a huge issue for most competing providers. Their biometric scanning also gives additional confidence that users are the same person that is submitting documents. We have used nearly every major identity provider available over the past 4 years and SumSub fills the gaps where each of the other providers failed. **What do you dislike about Sumsub?** Like all KYC providers the integration is a bit tricky due to aligning workflows between internal process and procedures and SumSub process. **What problems is Sumsub solving and how is that benefiting you?** We had trouble finding a single provider to handle all aspects of the KYC process. Previously we have 2-3 different providers to handle various aspects if identity verification: - PEP/SAN Checking - Multiple providers for different regions and languages - Multiple providers for proof of address or source of wealth checks. SumSub was able to do all of these things through a unified API.
