It provides the simple information we need for reliable checks. Being able to complete checks on ID documents and facial similarity is a big help for our onboarding process, as it lets us request fewer documents, maintain a high level of scam/fraud detection, and onboard clients quickly with less hassle. Having the anti-impersonation check, electronic verification, and document checker all in one place is fantastic too. The onfido team provide excellent support, quick responses and are always happy to help **What do you dislike about Entrust IDV, formerly Onfido?** Sometimes the document check can take longer than other resources to show a status (rejected, approved). While this isn’t the end of the world, it makes the process feel a bit less streamlined and can delay onboarding. In case any checks do not pass (either for date of birth or home address), I like that it gives you a full list of the reasons why it failed. **What do you dislike about Entrust IDV, formerly Onfido?** The only thing i dislike is that users need to add their full home address. Instead they could just add the postcode and a list of potential addresses could appear. They declared (by a C level managers) that onfido java sdk is not supported as much as REST API is). I realized this there was a mismatch between SDK response and documentation. They needed to confess this after wasted weeks that I was pushing them this a serious problem on their end but support team kept sending their out-dated documentation link. It was a nightmare!! Beside same API is returning different responses in SDK and Rest API. Some of the fields are missing in SDK responses than REST API. This is why I spent a couple of week to migrate their broken SDK to Rest API. Other than that they never tagged their depracted methods. You need understand this by reading their documentation and dang! Other than that their It takes ~5 mins to get auth code. You are waiting to get auth code for minutes to access dashboard. Addition, they don't provide all functionalities in their sandbox env. If you want to test autofill feature you need to test this on their live environment. This limits testing capabilities in development part. This requires 3 sepertes instances at least.
