"Help and Support"
What do you like best about StudioBinder?

Well, it looked promising and usefull, But, it has soo many issues, making it practically unusable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about StudioBinder?

The list is long.

No Support, and I mean NO Support. I have written in the chat for help, small things, and it either says no one is there, the hours are XXXX, they will get back in 24 hrs. Yet nothing no emails no chat response. I send a chat during their support hrs wich are very short and the response is some will get back in 24 hours. And nothing.

Not knowing and not getting any answers I can only say the program is seriously flawed.

Starting with no UNDO and Redo. You make a mistake and want to undo it, cant be done. That alone makes it impossible to work freely with. especially doing scene timing and changes. The only way I have found around this is to copy the project over and over and over, in order to revert to previous project in lue of no undo.

What program hs no undo redo? Davinci? Photoshop? Premier? I could go on.

This is the first program I have run into since the 90s that has no undo.

I cant figure out how to import my strips into the shot sheet? It seems you have to build your shot sheet from scratch, really? How is this not connected via their database all the info is in the program, and if it is, where is it buried in the cryptic UI? You spend all that time building your stripes and then you have to build your shot sheet from scratch, when all the starting info is right there in the strips. This is a complete waste of time.

There are so many issues like these I won't go on.

Let's talk about the UI, it is confusing, with items buried under labels that do not make sense. There is more but too much to list.

Help, tutorials. What a joke, they are slick catchy super fast-paced and tell you absolutely nothing. the interface IU on the tutorials does not exactly match my UI so even when I stop the video and replay it a dozen times to figure out where that mouse is going and click a tab, is a puzzle game I do not want to play.

Implementation and of courseintegration is flawed beyond mentioning.

Stop trying to be so slick and do some tutorials that are in-depth on the working of the program. Really, but some effort into this.

The program looks great but once you get into it the learning curve sucks when with just a few adjustments could be awesome. I have worked in the game development field for over 15 years for xbox, PlayStation, Disney, and dozens of AAA companies. And UI UX Functions is something I know quite a bit about. This program has so many pipeline, UI UX, and simple support issues that make it Zero stars for me. So close to being fantastic, yet so far from getting there. It seems to me that after all the redo's I have had to do, it is going to be easier to go back to Excel and just do it that way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"It could be SO MUCH better !!!"
What do you like best about StudioBinder?

The User Interface is awesome compare to the old look & feel of other software Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about StudioBinder?

There is no UNDO feature! So if you make an error, you need to re-do all the work you've done. ALSO about support, they basically never replied to me or chat back... basically, I would say there is no support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"more organized and creative thanks to studiobinder"
What do you like best about StudioBinder?

What I like the most about studiobinder are its characteristics since of all the software that I have tested this is the most serious and with the best tools that I have tested it is very intuitive its ease of use is incredible studiobinder is very well positioned compared to other software One of the things that I like the most is that I can have everything organized in one place. I have all my call sheets. I also add reminders for the whole team. Also, I can add comments from the whole team, which helps us. To make production more fluid, I can also send emails to all our managers and receive corrections almost immediately Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about StudioBinder?

I think that studiobinder has two big problems. One is that its price is highly high for small companies and people who work independently. It makes it very difficult for them to use the program since it is expensive and another thing is that their technical service is a little slow to give answers. .. "Makes Pre-Production a Breeze (Shot List, Scheduling, Call Sheets)"
What do you like best about StudioBinder?

I need quite a bit of help with organization and that's exactly what this program does. I can write my script, make notes, storyboard, share my work, get feedback from my department heads, and schedule the entire production. The screenwriting app is just as intuitive as Final Draft — but here the script feeds directly into the pre-pro planning (breakdowns, scheduling, etc.). I'd also like to give a shout out to their customer service team who are very responsive and helpful if I have any questions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about StudioBinder?

I would love to see a budgeting feature get added to the platform. It would make so much sense and add yet another really valuable tool to the service. It would also be great if they added a feature to the storyboard module so I could maybe draw storyboards directly into the program but maybe that's just me being lazy. "Great Way to Keep your film projects in order!"
What do you like best about StudioBinder?

I love the layout of StudoBinder. Everything is pretty self-explanatory but isn't so simple that it doesn't do the job for more complex productions. Basically it is both user friendly and effective. I'm not personally one that creates the productions and I needed something that helped me to help my team to really make our production organized and professional without having to be in the industry for years. This program really laid it all out for me and helped to guide what I needed in order to get orgainized. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about StudioBinder?

The cost is honestly a bit much. You can either have the free forever plan which allows you one project OR the "Indie" plan that allows 10 Projects but is $49 per month. We fall in the middle. I think that if they offered some additional pricing points it would be very helpful so that we can scale up as we needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about StudioBinder?

the only drawback we could have with studiobinder is its cost since it is higher than its competitors and that makes it difficult for small companies to allow using it freely Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The best video production management app"
What do you like best about StudioBinder?

The biggest upside of StudioBinder is that you have everything that your production needs all in one place. This includes the ability to make call sheets (and send them), create shot lists and storyboards, make schedules, DOOD reports, etc.

The fact that I can make a shooting schedule just by importing my .pdf (sometimes using a .fdx), and it's able to easily recognize it. It makes it really easy to onboard my entire team to the application, without any additional hassle.

I also love that I can add shots (and storyboards) to individual scenes in my schedule, and it makes it really easy to save them as PDFs and/or print them.

The screenwriting feature is a game-changer for me if I need to make any quick adjustments to the script. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about StudioBinder?

The pricing can get expensive but the good thing is that you can easily downgrade/upgrade to meet your production needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great project management software"
What do you like best about StudioBinder?

Definitely it's ease of use and intuitive layout. It's features rival a lot of larger project management software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about StudioBinder?

Price point can be a big hindrance for a lot of smaller companies like ourselves. I think in time, once we get bigger clients, we'll utilize a little bit more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
