## Storyblok Reviews
  ### 1. Storyblok stands out in a crowded CMS landscape

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Danielle v. | Manager Web Operations, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

I’ve worked with many CMSs over the years, and Storyblok truly stands out. It’s exceptionally user‑friendly especially for non‑technical stakeholders — without sacrificing flexibility for developers. The visual editor makes content updates intuitive and incredibly fluid.

What makes Storyblok unique is that you can feel its origin story in the product: it was created by people who understand both web content management and development. That dual perspective is embedded in the entire experience. It breathes both disciplines, and that balance is exceptional.

Their customer focus is another major strength. Even as the company grows, their support team remains responsive and genuinely invested in customer feedback. You feel heard and taken seriously, which is rare in the SaaS world.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

Nothing major overall. However, for us as a global team managing all markets, some of the more advanced configurations still require developer support.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Storyblok to manage content across multiple websites with many contributors. It helps us maintain consistency, streamline content updates, and give non‑technical team members confidence to work independently.

More importantly, it supports our shift away from a traditional waterfall approach. Storyblok brings content, design, and development into one shared environment, which improves collaboration and speeds up delivery. Instead of passing work sequentially, teams can co‑create in real time using the same components and structure.

  ### 2. The real value? Fewer dependencies between teams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Benedikt G. | Head of Technology, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

The component-based architecture, as it isn’t just a feature but it changes how teams think about content. Leading a 10-person dev team working on multiple mid to enterprise customers, the biggest lever I see is that Storyblok dissolves the boundary between development and content editing without either side compromising. Enabling efficiency improvements across the board.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

The plugin marketplace still has room to grow and a couple of bulk actions need to be improved.

You have to go on the hunt for some real good community plugins. They exist, but its difficult to find them if you are not on discord and the community hubs.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storyblok bridges the gap between technical teams and editors. For our customers, this means they can start working on content before development has even finished implementation. Editors independently create landing pages, storytelling formats, and campaign content while we set up the component library once and keep it clean. It's not so much about reducing dev time – it's about reducing dependencies between teams. That's the actual value our customers report.

Beyond the CMS itself, Storyblok builds its tooling in a way that makes it easy for developers to extend and build on top of it and it's genuinely ready for agentic workflows.

  ### 3. Unrivalled flexibility, outstanding engagement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christopher B. | Product owner web, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

Storyblok gives the power over to you, the user, you are to modify it and add the feature and functionality that you need to the system, making it truly headless and fully customizable. Easy for editors to add new content. Great customer support and regular follow-ups according to your needs. We use it across many countries with 100+ users, every day.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

It could have more features out of the box, being a company that relies solely on consultants, building new stuff takes time. User management could be improved.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us to have a good overview of what our editord are doing, manking hundreds of changes daily possible in multiple countries, seamlessly.

  ### 4. Effortless Content Management with Flexible Visual Editing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ram D. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

how easy it makes managing content for my clients. The visual editor is a huge time-saver, and I love that I can build flexible components without locking myself into a rigid structure. It fits perfectly with my Next.js workflow and just makes the whole process smoother.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

The only downside for me is that the UI can feel a bit slow at times, especially with larger projects. Nothing major just small delays here and there that break the flow a little. The learning curve was a little more than I thought.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It lets me create flexible, reusable components for my clients, which saves a lot of time on updates. Content teams can edit pages without breaking anything, and I can ship sites faster because the structure is clean and consistent. Overall, it makes managing multiple client sites way easier. My favorite is the visual editor for the clients to be able to make easy changes.

  ### 5. Robust CMS with Visual Editing, Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mayank K. | Founder / Head of Strategy and Technology, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

I appreciate Storyblok's robust CMS capabilities that allow for visual-led content editing for websites without the need for extensive coding. I love its freedom in defining content blocks and the visual style of structuring content, which suits both my personal and work-related website projects efficiently. Furthermore, the simplicity of Storyblok's initial setup greatly impressed me, making it a straightforward process to get started.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

I feel that Storyblok could improve by incorporating insights from Sanity regarding schema-based workflows. Additionally, I find the visual interface of Payload and Sanity CMS to be cleaner and more robust in comparison to Storyblok.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Storyblok as a robust CMS providing visual-led content editing for websites without much coding. It enables freedom in defining content blocks and structuring content visually, solving the challenges of complex query setups and live editing nightmares experienced with previous platforms.

  ### 6. Effortlessly Modernized The US Department of Health and Human Services Grant.gov System

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marwan A. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

I like Storyblok for allowing business users to easily update and publish content. I also enjoy the flexibility it offers as a blank slate that can be developed in any language, and its API-first technology really stands out. It's been incredibly helpful for us to use Storyblok to migrate from legacy code, modernize it, and maintain no downtime, which is fantastic. Additionally, the initial setup of Storyblok was easy and quick, and it has been running solidly for five years.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

Nothing at this time.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storyblok helped us create a multilevel platform with one CMS tool that includes Java, Nuxt, and HTML. Its API-first technology processes data and applications for grants packages worth over $500 billion annually.

  ### 7. Flexible Content Management with a Learning Curve

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ziya K.

**Reviewed Date:** December 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

I find Storyblok great for projects across my company, including an eCommerce platform, a PLC site, and an educational site. I appreciate how it solves the reusability of components, making it easy and effective for content editors to use them. I like that it's like a sandbox, allowing flexibility to tailor it to my needs, such as deploying over 20+ domains using one space. The folder-level architecture and restrictions make this possible, and I find that very valuable.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

Copying and pasting the contents is easy if you are using one space per project, but we need to manually copy and paste contents in the folders as we cannot use the dimension app. Another thing is the commercetools app; it is not possible to add multiple markets to the same space, which causes problems. Also, the onboarding made us a little bit nervous since there is less walkthrough for developers.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storyblok solves the reusability of components, making it easy for content editors. Its folder level architecture allows deploying over 20+ domains efficiently, although copying content manually across folders is a downside.

  ### 8. Game-Changing Visual Editor and Flawless Laravel Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Business Supplies and Equipment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

Its visual editor really shines. Letting our clients actually see what they’re working on has been a real game changer for us. On top of that, Riclep’s Laravel Storyblok integration has worked flawlessly so far. The assets CDN is also great, it's working perfect with focal points and is very quick.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

It's pricing has been a bit unstable compared to when we first started using Storyblok, but in a way it's also understandable.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not having to worry about an asset CDN is one of the main benefits for me. I also like that clients can clearly see what they’re editing while they work.

  ### 9. Migrated from WordPress – a great business decision.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pawel L. | Head of Growth, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

Ease of use even for a non-technical person
Customer support
A lot of integration
Modern, sleek, intuitive panel

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

Price increases two times during two years of using it

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using Storyblok as our CMS platform, having migrated from WordPress over two years ago. The difference has been significant. The biggest advantage we’ve experienced is the amount of time we now spend on content management and landing page creation. Thanks to the block components, managing existing pages and creating new ones is incredibly easy and fast, even for non-technical users. In total, we have migrated over 200 pages from our old WordPress site to Storyblok, and it was one of the best decisions we've made.

  ### 10. The best CMS

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Neven S. | Web Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2022

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

Having all projects managed from one place is so easy now with Storyblok. You can easily use Storyblok for all platforms that you need (web: vue, angular, react ... mobile) in a very easy way. Getting data is so easy.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

Once when you start to use Storyblok it’s easy and fast. In my opinion, pricing is probably expensive for the start but in comparison to others, it's still cheaper. But once when you start using it you can check partner benefits and becoming a partner is probably the best option.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storyblok solves problems with API Content Delivery. Hosting Images on CDN is also one great benefit. Also preview of your work in StoryBlok works great and you can realtime check your work.

  ### 11. Intuitive Editing and Real-Time Updates

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sofwane S.

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

I love how user-friendly and easy to use Storyblok is. The updates are quick to reflect in real time, which is a huge plus. The thing I like most is how simple it makes everything; I can update content instantly, and the visual editor is super intuitive. It really removes a lot of the technical hassle, allowing me to see changes in real time and update pages without needing to dig into code. It reduces back and forth with developers. The overall simplicity of the visual editor really makes a difference for me.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

The main thing that could improve is the learning curve at the beginning and how some components feel a bit rigid unless they're customized. Also, bigger content updates sometimes need developer help.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Storyblok user-friendly and easy to use, with quick real-time updates. The visual editor's simplicity removes technical hassle and reduces developer back-and-forth. It offers more flexibility, faster workflows, and a cleaner structure compared to WordPress.

  ### 12. Effortless Setup with Powerful Visual Editor

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan W.

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

I really appreciate the ability to build our own boilerplate with Storyblok, which gives us a fast and easy start for different clients, and then we can hand off the project later on. The backend experience we've set up for editors using the visual editor helps them manage and maintain their websites much better than before. I also find its integrations very useful. The visual editor is key for us as it allows people to manage content rapidly for massive sites with multiple product SKUs. I love how easy it is to set up editorial content quickly with well-controlled frontend customization, and it's really quick to customize the layout across breakpoints. Storyblok is really easy out of the box, which I find very convenient.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

The pricing structures can be pretty hard on smaller companies. The leap from two users to five users being a $100 a month is quite hard on us. Smaller scale companies don't need all of the extra bandwidth and features that come with it. It's just the user seats.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Storyblok helps us build a boilerplate for quick client project starts, manage massive content rapidly with its visual editor, and customize layouts efficiently.

  ### 13. Empowers Non-Tech Teams with Ease

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lenka V.

**Reviewed Date:** December 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

I use Storyblok for managing our website, and I really enjoy its ease of use and the intuitive UX/UI. It's very straightforward, making editing and creating super easy. I appreciate how anyone on the team can jump in, create landing pages for campaigns or content, and work on things together without needing technical knowledge. The ability to easily create content, duplicate website pages, and pause them as needed has made our team more efficient and saved us time.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

The asset limits are sometimes too low for the package it offers. Also, it can be a bit of a pain in the backend for the technical person to sometimes configure the elements.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using Storyblok, our team can manage website changes without needing technical support, which boosts efficiency and saves time. It's easy to create and duplicate pages, and the intuitive interface makes it accessible for everyone to contribute.

  ### 14. Easy to Use and Clear for New Users

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

The ease of use. It is very clear for new users, especially being able to see the content appear as you add/create it.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

The only thing i dislike about Storyblok is when you are deciding on a photo to go onto a page. If you have many photo options it can be annoying to have to scroll through from the start again - maybe consider remembering at least the folder you were last in?

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is allowing us to make our own changes without always relying on a web designer. Therefore time and cost saved.

  ### 15. Modern, Flexible, and User-Friendly CMS with Great Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** F. Javier R. | Solution Architect | Porsche.com ART, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

The support is great, which makes things easier when I need help. I also appreciate how flexible it is with folders, roles, and workflows, making it easy to adapt to the needs of our diverse digital products. The initial setup was very straightforward, which was a relief.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

It'd be great to be able to manage assets easily across different spaces.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storyblok helps us structure content across markets while managing approval and translation workflows.

  ### 16. Effortlessly Manage Content with Storyblok

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Max B.

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

I really appreciate how Storyblok has made managing our dealership's website content effortless. It simplifies the process of making updates to content and creating landing pages, which saves me a lot of time. I love the quick and clean interface; it's easy to understand and navigate, making the overall user experience very pleasant. One of my favorite features is the ability to preview content before publishing, allowing me to ensure everything looks perfect before it goes live. The initial setup was also fantastic and straightforward, which made transitioning to Storyblok a smooth experience. Given my experience, I would highly recommend Storyblok to others and confidently rate it a 10 out of 10.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

On our implementation of Storyblok, custom HTML isn't supported. I'd like to see that supported.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storyblok simplifies website content management, making it easy to update content and create landing pages. The interface is intuitive and content preview before publishing is excellent.

  ### 17. Dynamic and Intuitive, Perfect for Headless Architecture

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Evan John M. | Senior Software Engineer

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

I love how dynamic and easy it is to build very custom pages with Storyblok. The headless nature of the platform is fantastic and provides great flexibility. I am impressed with the configuration options and features like data sources and custom schema with different field types, making it very dynamic and versatile. The API is outstanding and integrates well with frameworks like NextJS, Gatsby, or any other JAMstack framework, enhancing development efficiency. The great UI design is not only intuitive but also very simple, yet offers a deep level of complexity if needed. This makes the initial setup straightforward and using the platform incredibly manageable and stress-free.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

I find the pricing structure of Storyblok somewhat problematic. The cost seems to be increasingly expensive, making it a challenge to justify, especially for the lower tiers. I believe these tiers could be more budget-friendly.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Storyblok's headless architecture simplifies website building, offering dynamic, customizable pages with intuitive UI and powerful API integration. It reduced my stress and proved superior to WordPress by allowing complex configurations while remaining user-friendly.

  ### 18. Streamlines Content Management, But Setup Needs Developer Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Manu A. | Growth

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

I find Storyblok incredibly time-saving because it is easy to use and manage the content for my company's various pages like the homepage, cloud page, product page, and pricing page. The visual editor in Storyblok is fantastic. It allows me to easily organize content and offers the ability to reuse blocks, change the structure, and update the content efficiently. This capability makes my work much more pleasant and straightforward. The ease of organizing and manipulating content through its features makes my work substantially faster. Overall, it's a seamless experience, and I'm pretty much satisfied with how it operates.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

I found the initial setup of Storyblok a bit challenging as a marketer. I needed to rely on a developer to set up everything. It would be beneficial if, in the future, a more marketer-friendly setup was available, allowing marketers to manage the setup independently without needing technical support.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Storyblok saves me a lot of time by making content management easy with its fantastic visual editor and reusability of blocks, which speeds up work and makes it more pleasant.

  ### 19. Storyblok makes multi-shop management efficient

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jan M. | Senior SEO Manager

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

I use Storyblok for the frontend presentation in our online shop and particularly appreciate the ability to manage and edit the content, texts, and presentations of our three different online shops with different language versions easily and clearly through a central backend installation. This saves a lot of time and effort. I find the tidy and intuitive design for backend users extremely useful, as it makes editing the frontend clear. Additionally, it was very easy for our team to work with Storyblok, as it was quick and easy to use after a short training session. Storyblok significantly simplifies the management of our shops, as we only need one technical base that covers all our shops, which also facilitates technical developments in the frontend and allows us to benefit from these developments.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

I have not had any negative experiences with Storyblok so far and therefore cannot mention any point.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find that Storyblok simplifies the management of our online shops by allowing content and presentations from different language versions to be clearly edited and output in one backend.

  ### 20. Straightforward Interface, Needs Better Export Features

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Juliusz N. | Automation Developer

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

I really like Storyblok because it provides a straightforward interface that makes it easy to configure to my needs. The visual icons are particularly helpful, allowing me to easily understand the content locations, which enhances its intuitiveness. Additionally, Storyblok simplifies the process of mapping components inside the code, making it convenient for the client to fill up the data and seamlessly push it to the code. This efficiency has been incredibly beneficial for my form catering project in storing content. I also appreciate the ease of the initial setup, which, despite requiring some mapping, was quite manageable.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

I struggled with the naming conventions within Storyblok, specifically with understanding that 'Blocks' are also referred to as components. Additionally, I'd like the possibility to export the entire base along with its structure. Currently, exporting isn't straightforward, and having an option to export my base to a .csv file or visualizing the database structure through a temporary graph would be beneficial.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Storyblok helps map components easily in my code, simplifying content management for clients. Its straightforward, intuitive interface with visual icons enhances understanding and configuration, improving my workflow efficiency.

  ### 21. User-Friendly and Time-Saving for Team Collaboration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vincent C.

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

I appreciate that Storyblok is user-friendly and easy to understand, which saves us a huge amount of time. It empowers all team members to use and be creative, providing freedom for every team. I find the way it organizes content in folders to be effective, making it easy for developers to add any SEO block and simplifying the process of building a page. The initial setup was very smooth, and we enjoyed it. These features collectively enhance our efficiency and streamline our workflow.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

I have not found anything major that I dislike about Storyblok, but one issue is that it does not automatically save changes. If I am not careful, I might lose updates. It would be beneficial if the software prompted after each modification to save changes automatically.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Storyblok makes it easier for the team to be creative, saves us time, and offers user-friendly organization, simplifying the page-building process.

  ### 22. Highly Configurable, Intuitive UI/UX, and Fast, Professional Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

That it is 100% configuarable to our various business needs. For our content editors the Ui/UX experience is very intuitive. Onboarding therefore was very easy. The Storyblok support is very professional and has a quick response time.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

Only thing missing is that there is no webhook for assets that are modified.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a multi-brand and multi-language plattform that needs individual solutions per brand & country but at the same time benefit from global settings, which then only needs to be configured once.

  ### 23. Effortless Headless CMS with Great APIs

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stefan E. | Frontend-Engineer

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

I appreciate Storyblok for its headless CMS functionalities, which effectively separate content from components, enhancing the flexibility and efficiency of managing digital content. The API offerings are robust, with excellent documentation and a developer experience that really stands out, making integration and usage of the API seamless and straightforward. Setting up Storyblok was notably easy, which speaks volumes about its user-friendly design and implementation process. These aspects collectively improve my workflow and overall satisfaction with the software.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

I dislike that when using SSO with Storyblok, the autogenerated names for users are unattractive and lack personalization. This can be improved by implementing a system that uses real names instead of arbitrary strings, which would offer a more professional and user-friendly experience.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Storyblok for its headless CMS functionality, which cleanly separates content from components, enhancing development efficiency with excellent API documentation and a great developer experience.

  ### 24. Completely satisfied

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Chemicals | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

Live Editor, faster support, scheduled publishing

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

What I don't find ideal is the linking of documents. Specifically, I find selecting documents somewhat tedious, as the selection is only done through a scrolling list and I have to type in the name of the document. I wish I could also search for them in the folders among my assets.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We manage a lot of documents (PDFs, audios, etc.) on our website, which often have to be published at specific times due to stock exchange regulations. This works very well with Storyblok.

  ### 25. Effortless Setup, Powerful Developer Tools

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ruben L.

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

I like the 'what you see is what you get' editor in Storyblok as it makes the content editing process intuitive. I also appreciate the good API and tooling for editing content, which enhances the user experience. The partner portal is another standout feature for me; it makes the initial setup very easy—just a few clicks and it's all set up, allowing us to kick-off development smoothly. The good developer tools and documentation are also valuable resources in our implementations.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

None

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storyblok offers a good partner portal, developer tools, and documentation. It features a 'what you see is what you get' editor and strong API and tooling for content editing. The initial setup is straightforward with just a few clicks, allowing us to quickly kick-off development.

  ### 26. Effortless Content Management and Fast Setup

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Oliver B.

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

I use Storyblok to manage content across different platforms from a single central point, and it's such an easy experience to use as a CMS. I love how it efficiently handles generating numerous pages, which is crucial for our e-learning platform. The ease of use and the JSON block structure are really nice to work with as a developer. It has saved us valuable time with the ability to reuse blocks and build atomically regardless of the data we display. The initial setup was straightforward, and we had it working within 30 minutes.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

Nothing particularly negative to say. I havent had any bad down time

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storyblok helps us manage content centrally across our app and website easily. Its user-friendly CMS allows efficient generation of extensive pages for our e-learning platform. The JSON block structure saves time and enables atomic building.

  ### 27. Storyblok. A great platform for content designers.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jon P. | Content designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

After working closely with UX and our development team, we have created a Storyblok platform that allows fast and efficient content development. The reusable bloks make it easy to create consistent, structured content that looks great and is also accessible.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

We currently have a 15 minute period to wait for the cache to clear. This isn't ideal when we are making small updates or working on developing a page.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prior to Storyblok we were using a CMS that was really beginning to show it's age. We had to hand crank the HTML on pages just to allow us to display content in specific ways. The process was slow and time consuming. Using Storyblok we can now create content much more efficiently. We have a library of standardised components that we can use, which helps us create content quickly and consistently. The final product is good looking, accessible content that works on all platforms.

  ### 28. An absolute breeze, developing our new website with Storyblok has made us so efficient

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jake M. | Senior Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

The modularity and the customise with custom blok types and data sources, this has made developing our website feel bespoke without wrestling it any systems.

Customer support was there along the way to help us, they were friendly and helpful.

As for our marketing team, they have found using storyblok so easy, they are able to build pages without our assistance and frequently make updates to the site now.

Implementing new features to our website has never been so easy.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

The initial integration with Nextjs was a bit of a headache as there wasn't much documentation or answers online, I think this is due to the more recent adoption of newer version of nextjs.

We did however eventually get everything working. I look forward to furture version of storyblok, which I think they have already released, but we have yet to implement.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allowing us to easily build our website in a structured way, making reusable components to build our website effectively and easy to maintain.

The all in one feel of the CMS is also great, serving up our assets optimised, it's great for our developers as they can easily get to grips with the system.

  ### 29. Fast, Flexible, and User-Friendly CMS

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sophia D.

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

I find Storyblok to be an easy-to-use website content management tool that gives us flexibility and speed, allowing us to set up content independently. This means we can launch updates faster without heavy developer dependency and control our website within our ecommerce business team. It's also easy to make localizations across markets. I also appreciate how easy it is to upload content, and how straightforward the initial setup was. Everything about it just works well for me.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

Sometimes there are bugs and deployments are erased.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storyblok is an easy-to-use content management tool. It gives us flexibility and speed, allowing us to set up content independently, launch updates faster, and manage our website with our e-commerce business team. It's also easy to make localizations across markets.

  ### 30. Storyblok Helped us fast track our e-commerce brand launch

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Apparel & Fashion | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

We have worked with various cms. I think the Visual Editor helped us heavily with iterations, building faster and A/B testing our brand placement. As Storyblok is blocks, we should create custom blocks that we can rearrange and get the better structure layout. Working with clients required a lot of back and forth, i don't really think we could have delivered on time without Storyblok.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

Our Developers required a bit of learning curve. Something the Visual Editor had issues. But overall working with Storyblok was better than other cms in our experience.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For us, we have highly demanding client, and we have a lot of feedback and keep the client in loop. A lot of the issue are with brand placement, content, layouts, size. This are highly small changes but if we had to work with code would require a lot of time. Especially in a highly trend driven business, like e-commerce we have to change a lot. Storyblok provides assert, CMS, and custom blocks this blocks can be integrated in the ui, and we can change the assert, content, marketing anytime.

  ### 31. Almost perfect CMS

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sampo V. | Project manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

As a developer, I find Storyblok to be amazingly simple to work with.
As a project manager, I've noticed that Storyblok is quite easy to teach which proves how intuitive the UI is.

These features I like the most:
- Creating blocks
- Creating templates
- Implementing to new and existing projects is super easy
- The api is very easy for integrations
- Real time preview of current state of content
- Save / publish -pattern
- Internationalization features with AI
- Amazing media service

I use Storyblok almost daily.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

1. The latest pricing model did cause problems on selling Storyblok. Especially the 20€/month for each extra language after two languages feels super steep.

2. I really miss the repeater-kind of feature that would essentially make a lot of sense and reduce the amount of required clicks when creating content

3. User roles in smaller plans

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It brings us a way to offer our customers a great CMS experience

  ### 32. Storyblok usage personal and professional

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael M. | Senior Creative and Websites Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

What i like best as the team developer is that I get to create components and manage the site but everyone else in the team can create web pages easily.

The whole team uses the site on a daily basis whether creating content, editing or reviewing. The UI is self intuitive and easy to pick up for less technically minded individuals.

Once the back end was set up using Nuxt and Vue, it was easy to implement and customise to our own branding and styles.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

Very few, mainly training documents and guides aren't update very often and not kept up to date with the current screens and features.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem was all website requests went through me, taking up time making small edits and revisions. Now other members of the team can do this, leaving me to work on development and improvements in the back end.

  ### 33. Empowers Teams with Easy Page Edits and Real-Time Changes

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tala D.

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

I like that Storyblok has easy to edit templates, allowing me to make new pages without engineering support. It's easy to navigate and I can see changes in real time, which saves my team from having to wait 2-4 weeks for a sprint on my engineering team's scope. I also appreciate being able to see how the changes look and how the page will appear to the user. The initial setup of Storyblok was simple and easy to configure.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

The changes don't always load automatically, and I have to hard refresh the page every time.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Storyblok for easy-to-edit templates, allowing me to make new pages without engineering support. It saves my team from waiting weeks for development sprints, letting us see page changes and appearances in real-time.

  ### 34. The website is pretty good for managing digital content.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** k k. | Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

Storyblok makes it really easy to manage structured content while still giving marketers and editors a visual editor they actually enjoy using. As a developer, I like that the API-first approach lets me use any front-end framework (React in my case) without limitations. The component-based content blocks also make it simple to reuse sections across multiple pages, which saves a lot of time when building out new sites.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

While I love how efficiently storyblok helps to manage content but it can overwhelming to use in the beginning as everything looks complex . The permission setting are not much optimised too so that can be a problem when working with large teams to manage access across different roles.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I personally use Storyblok for my personal projects as it helps me separate my content from the code. So now I can focus on frontend and manage my content efficiently.

  ### 35. Technically strong CMS with great flexibility and preview

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David W. | Founder, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

Storyblok feels very technically sound while still being editor-friendly. The live preview is one of the best I’ve seen and gives teams confidence when publishing. Thanks to its flexibility, almost any use case is possible . From straightforward websites to complex multi-market setups.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

Pricing is transparent, but it ramps up quickly. You’re nudged toward premium or enterprise tiers. That can feel heavy when you just want to start lean and grow from there.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storyblok solves the classic pain of editors breaking layouts or waiting on developers for small changes. With structured content and the live preview, our marketing teams can publish faster and stay on brand. The flexibility of the headless approach also means we can integrate with other systems (CRM, ERP, analytics) without hacks or fragile plugins. The result: quicker launches, fewer tickets, and more confidence for both editors and developers.

  ### 36. Storyblok: flexible, easy to use, and a very practical visual editor

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

Storyblok is easy to use and very flexible. The visual editor is convenient for seeing changes in real time, and the headless approach makes integration with different frameworks easier.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

Getting started may take a little time at first, and some features could be better explained in the documentation.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storyblok allows content to be managed separately from development. This facilitates collaboration between developers and marketing teams and makes updates faster.

  ### 37. Effortless Website Building for Everyone

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Audric F. | Brand Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

I appreciate how easy it is to use, with a quick setup and convenient drag-and-drop functionality. You don't have to be an expert in HTML or CSS to create your own website. Changing images and text is simple, and you can publish your updates directly to the site. Overall, even those without any web design experience can get started and build pages with ease.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

At times, I find myself wishing there were additional blocks available to enhance my design options.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our entire team finds it simple to write and publish blogs, as well as make quick updates to our Shopify website whenever needed.

  ### 38. Storyblok Simplifies Content Management

I like that Storyblok is very easy to use. The visual editor lets me see changes instantly, so I don’t have to guess how the page will look. It saves a lot of time.
Even non-technical people can edit pages without needing help.
I also like that Storyblok is flexible for developers. It works well with any frontend framework, and the API is easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

It takes a little time to understand how everything works, especially things like components and schemas. Once you get used to it, it’s fine, but the learning curve is there.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storyblok makes content management simpler, clearer, and faster. It helps me build pages visually, reuse components, and avoid repetitive work which saves a lot of time.

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2025

Our business moved from hard-coded websites owned by our Engineering / Dev Teams over to Storyblok. We needed more flexibility for how we managed our websites, and Storyblok was a great option for us.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

Bit of a learning curve for the Marketing Team, so we've had to do a lot of training in-house on the Storyblok platform, but once people are trained, it goes well.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storyblok helped us move from hard-coded websites to a website our Marketing Team can manage w/out dev resources.

A few basic features like scheduling have moved from the standard tier in the more expensive tiers

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sierra T. | Senior Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

I really like Storyblok's ease of use. Compared to the CMS we used before, which was always riddled with errors and felt clunky, Storyblok is a breath of fresh air. It allows me to easily visualize the components of a page before I publish, and it warns me if anything's missing, ensuring I check all the boxes before going live. The initial setup was pretty easy once we got the hang of things.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

Nothing I can think of right now.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can easily build pages and blog posts without needing much technical experience. Storyblok is user-friendly and helps me visualize components before publishing, warning me if anything is missing.

  ### 42. Intuitive and Efficient with Excellent Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Akeem H.

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

I really like Storyblok's preloaded templates, which make it fast and easy to update pages. The clean and easy-looking UX/UI is great for updating the site. The initial setup was super smooth, and they even set up a 1 on 1 meeting to help. Storyblok acts as a one-stop shop, so I don't need to use it with any other tools.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

I think maybe being able to have RSVP/event pages could be an improvement, but they may have it and I don't know about it.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storyblok makes it clean and easy to update the site's UX/UI, and the preloaded templates make updating pages fast and easy.

  ### 43. An efficient and easy-to-integrate headless solution

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dylan A. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

What I like best about Storyblok is its modern and intuitive UI combined with the flexibility it offers. It integrates seamlessly with frameworks like Astro, making it very easy to use for developers. I also really appreciate the custom fields, which allow us to adapt the CMS perfectly to our needs. Another big plus is the Image API, which automatically optimizes and converts images to WebP, saving both time and performance.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

What I dislike about Storyblok is mainly the recent pricing changes. The plan I was using went from free to $120, and the number of locales included has also been reduced. Another point is that extensions are only available from higher plans instead of being offered as pay-per-extension, which limits flexibility for smaller projects."

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Storyblok, we were working with WordPress, which had several limitations in terms of performance and customization. We were highly dependent on plugins, and the back office was extremely slow. With a headless CMS like Storyblok, we can focus much more on the frontend part, while keeping full flexibility and scalability. This has allowed us to improve performance, reduce complexity, and deliver a smoother experience both for developers and end users.

  ### 44. Empowers Teams with Visual Editing and Seamless Scalability

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

As a national business operating with a surprisingly small team, we needed a CMS that would help us exceed expectations, and Storyblok has delivered on that front. The Visual Editor truly stands out—it empowers our marketing team to independently create and update landing pages using the 'Bloks' set up by our developers, so we no longer need to submit tickets for every minor copy or image adjustment. The scalability is also remarkable; even while serving a national audience, the headless architecture ensures our site remains extremely fast, which is vital for our SEO. Additionally, the component-based system helps us maintain consistent branding across hundreds of pages, since we can develop a feature once and reuse it everywhere. In the end, Storyblok seamlessly connects our departments: it provides our developers with the modern tech stack they prefer and gives our content team the visual tools we need to work efficiently.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

Metadata and seo structuring should be build into all components. Blocks should be easier to create for non technical users too.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a national business with a surprisingly small team, we needed a CMS that allowed us to punch above our weight, and Storyblok has been exactly that. The Visual Editor is a total game-changer; it allows our marketing team to build and update landing pages independently using the 'Bloks' our developers set up, meaning we don't have to submit a ticket for every small copy or image change. The scalability is also impressive—despite serving a national audience, the headless architecture keeps our site blazing fast, which is crucial for our SEO. Furthermore, the component-based system ensures our branding stays consistent across hundreds of pages because we can build a feature once and reuse it everywhere. Ultimately, Storyblok bridges the gap between our departments perfectly: it gives our developers the modern tech stack they want and our content team the visual tools we need to move fast.

  ### 45. My favourite headless cms

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sam P. | Senior developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

Storyblok makes the other headless offerings feel clunky and slow. The content is organized in folders that automatically have the equivalent of a URL path to access them, making it super easy to map content to a website IA without some convoluted navigation system. The UI is clean and responsive.

The ability to save presets for each type of content allows you to provide optional complexity while keeping things simple for your customers, and gives peace of mind that the beautiful thing you created isn't going to get ruined by someone that doesn't know what they are doing.

Implementation is easy with a well documented and simple api. There are great tutorials for all the major tech stacks. Customer service is friendly and responsive.

There is a generous starter plan that is always free for developers and small business.

Our customers love Storyblok as much as we do.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

I honestly can't think of anything, sorry.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storyblok provides a simple CMS that is easy and fun to use at a competitive price point.

**Official Response from Maria Baumgartner:**

> Hey Sam! Thank you so much for the amazing review! We're thrilled that you and your customers love using Storyblok and especially appreciate the kind words about our support and docs, too. If you ever think of anything we can improve, we’re all ears! :)

Component-Based Approach: Content is structured in reusable blocks, which provides flexibility and consistency across pages.

Collaboration Features: Roles, workflows, and approval processes make it practical for teams.
API-First: Fast, reliable APIs with GraphQL and REST support for versatile data access.
Good Documentation & Community: Well-maintained docs and an active developer ecosystem.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

Learning Curve: The component-based setup can be confusing for newcomers and requires upfront planning.
Pricing Model: Costs can grow quickly depending on number of users and projects.
Complex Configurations: Setting up roles, workflows, and custom fields may feel overwhelming at first.
Performance at Scale: While generally fast, very large content models can introduce latency if not optimized.
Limited Built-in Marketing Tools: Compared to traditional CMSs, features like A/B testing, personalization, and SEO tooling are more basic or require third-party integration.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storyblok has been solving several challenges for us around content management and delivery. As a headless CMS, it allows us to centralize content in one place and reuse it across multiple channels, such as websites, mobile apps, and other digital platforms. This has greatly reduced duplication of work and made our content strategy more consistent.
One of the biggest benefits is the visual editor, which empowers non-technical users to create and update content without depending on developers. This speeds up time to market for new pages and campaigns, while freeing developers to focus on building frontend features instead of managing copy changes. The component-based structure also ensures reusability and consistency, helping us maintain a cohesive brand experience.
On top of that, Storyblok’s workflows, roles, and versioning features have improved collaboration between teams, making it easier to manage approvals and avoid conflicts. Its API-first approach also keeps our setup future-proof, letting us integrate with modern frameworks and adapt to new technologies without redoing our content base.
Overall, Storyblok helps us work more efficiently, improves collaboration between technical and business teams, and gives us the flexibility to scale and evolve our digital experiences as needed.

**Official Response from Maria Baumgartner:**

> Thank you for sharing your feedback!

  ### 50. Gets the job done, but not ideal for non-technical users

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

I will preface by saying I'm not a developer or a designer. My company used an agency to design and develop our website, and all I do is content creation, copy, etc. So I can only speak about those features of Storyblok. I like working with blocks, the visual editor, and content that is logically ordered and organized. I'd say it's pretty flexible and allows for as much simplicity or complexity as you require. All in all, I'd say I can work quickly and intuitively with Storyblok, now that I'm familiar with it.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

There is definitely a learning curve, and the pricing can get very expensive for additional features. While I love it when it's working, the visual editor has been buggy. Other small issues have arisen over the years and at times the Storyblok team has been unhelpful and unresponsive.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When redesigning our commercial website and documentation, we wanted an option that would make it easy for non-technical roles, like our sales and marketing teams, to update content.

**Official Response from Maria Baumgartner:**

> Thank you for sharing your experience with Storyblok!
