Fantastic program to edit and work with your audios and music. **Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Kevin G. | Kevin Gared, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2019 **What do you like best about Soundation?** The software was very easy to navigate and I was surprised how versatile it was to be web-based and free. The feature I liked the most was that you could use any pre-recorded file no matter the tempo, it's very easy to integrate the loops with your themes with a very simple interface. **What do you dislike about Soundation?** To say the least in some updates the program changes the interface quite a bit, sometimes confusing it with previous versions, but it's just a matter of getting used to it. **Recommendations to others considering Soundation:** On a learning level and simple tasks, I think Soundation is a good introduction to DAWs and working with loops and editing topics. Being free and web-based, it is recommended by most students and schools and beginners in music editing. **What problems is Soundation solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's very easy for me to use in the office when we have to create multimedia content and we have to make adjustments or create our own melodies, it's very easy to get inspired and create quick sounds and themes with the loops it includes. ### 2. There are so many high quality sounds that my students can choose from to create their sound projects. Working in a lower-income school district, we can't afford to purchase music software for all students, but the free version of this program provides everything we need! **What do you dislike about Soundation?** The program updates and changes the visual format frequently, making it difficult to produce instructions. For example, they will add or remove buttons here and there in the account set-up process, so my written instructions for students last term aren't valid for students this term. The program also doesn't save your work automatically, so when there is a glitch or it crashes (which happens from time to time), the students can lose all of their hard work. We still love using the program, we just caution the students to be obsessive about clicking the save button. **Recommendations to others considering Soundation:** Give it a try! It's super fun and rather intuitive once you get the hang of it. Kids love it and many of them continue using it after we've finished our project in class! **What problems is Soundation solving and how is that benefiting you?** As a music teacher in a middle school, it's hard to find ways to make music relevant to kids that don't have prior music-making experience.
