Describe the project or task Slingshot helped with:

Slingshot is so amazing. Their team decided to give back to our community by gifting one local nonprofit a free mobile app. After a competitive process, our nonprofit organization was chosen to receive this amazing gift. They started out with narrowing down our most basic needs, doing a very in depth interview process with all of our diverse stakeholders, and then applying their artistic design talent to the job. The finished product looks amazing and will move our work light years forward, helping thousands of people connect to life-saving fresh food. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Slingshot?

Slingshot does a great job of listening and being honest about what would be the most helpful solutions to our specific challenges. It was really fun working with their team. They are very talented and brilliant at what they do, yet also community-minded and very down to earth. Their team even came out one day to volunteer their time with us in the community. They are a real pleasure to work with. I loved that they did in-depth research on all aspects of our mobile app, making sure we were getting the most up to date designs. What do you dislike about Slingshot?

What problems is Slingshot solving and how is that benefiting you?

Slingshot has had a powerful impact on our work. We run a social enterprise, connecting mainly families with limited resources to farm-fresh produce. The system we were using so our customers could purchase the food was old and clunky. The new mobile app will allow our customers to have a beautiful interface to be able to order their food plus stay up to date on all kinds of cooking tips, "veggie of the week" news, and other fun and important information. Slingshot offered the professional expertise we needed, while still maintaining a comfortable, friendly environment we felt at ease with. Recommendations to others considering Slingshot:

One thing to remember is to know your own needs - or, at the very least, have a basic idea - because while this team can deliver anything you can imagine, and are experts in their own field(s), they might not necessarily be an expert in yours. We're an insurance company, so there was a good bit of discussion about what we do, and how we do it, in order that the Slingshot folks would have a better understanding of how to build a program that makes sense for our industry's purposes. Once the major project of our client system was complete, the Slingshot team has continued to provide support and insight to how we might better utilize the program.
