The tool was easy to use and had a lot of useful options to take advantage of when working on my project. I particularly enjoyed the diagram maker - it's so hard to find a good tool for creating user flows etc. Here I found everything I needed. It seems simple and clean, but in fact, it has so many options. Slickplan has a 30 day free trial with no need to add your credit card details which was important to me, as I always forget about the trial and end up being charged with a subscription without even realizing that. What service does not currently save backups? in case of an incident? They did not inform me which user deleted my account or which ip. The support person Sean did not resolve me and told me that he did not care if I put a bad review, in a very rude way. slickplan does not care about its clients, it did not provide me with any solutions, and in the end my work was lost. We originally chose Slickplan out of a host of options to replace Excel as our sitemap planning tool, which it does extremely well. **What do you dislike about Slickplan?** I feel like we pay for more than we actually use with Slickplan. You can add comps to Slickplan, but we use other tools for that. You can add content to pages in Slickplan, but we use other tools for that, too. The other issue is that Slickplan's UI is occasionally buggy. It's gotten better over the years, but even things like dragging and dropping pages into other spots will act differently than it should. **What problems is Slickplan solving and how is that benefiting you?** Slickplan gives us what we need to visualize and plan website content and organization. The format that a sitemap appears in is intuitive to our internal and external stakeholders, and all of the additional annotation tools give us the flexibility to have as much or as little detail as is necessary to get our ideas across. We use to have post-it notes on a white board to move pages around while talking through the user experience flow. We now can do this electronically. The ability to tag page types and signify the content on each page is very helpful when someone views the sitemap for the first time. **What do you dislike about Slickplan?** I do not like the difficulty in duplicating sections. It was rather tedious if you had a significant amount of pages to create. In some programs, you can copy paste them more more easily. Additionally, user permission is a bit disappointing. Even client access seems to count as a user. To keep our plan at a price we could afford, we had to really reduce the number of people that could log in to review it. Instead we had to do most of the reviews through a screen share presentation. **Recommendations to others considering Slickplan:** For us the revision history has been really important. The cost can be very expensive if you add a lot of viewers. We'd love to allow clients access to review it, but unfortunately that kicks us up to the next plan. So we typically have to use a screenshare presentation. **What problems is Slickplan solving and how is that benefiting you?** We needed a way to explain a site map and then collaboratively build it with the client, even if they were remote. Client buy-in increases and missing content in the final site goes down when we can work together on the sitemap. Our old process required sitting in front of a whiteboard and moving post-it notes around. Other site mapping tools didn't allow enough flexibility in page type indicators and detail. Slickplan feels like it was made with all the considerations for a sitemap tool. We are now able to share our screen and walk a client through the sitemap remotely, taking one layer at a time with the use of the collapsible layers.
