Skody Reviews & Product Details

Skody AI is finite-capacity production scheduling for high-mix discrete manufacturers: job shops, CNC machine shops, fabricators and contract manufacturers. It connects to the ERP you already run (ProShop, Fulcrum, JobBOSS², with Acumatica and SYSPRO also supported), reads jobs, routings and work centers, and can write schedule dates back depending on how your shop runs. When a job runs long, an operator is out, material is late or a hot order lands, Skody recomputes the whole shop schedule from current ERP and floor data, so the plan stays runnable through the shift. Planners get a production Gantt, worker schedule, bottleneck map, late-job visibility and capacity forecast, and can run what-if scenarios before committing. The Shop plan starts at $1,500 per month for up to 10 work centers, month-to-month.

Having used the product for scheduling, this reviewer appreciates how it optimizes operations quickly and integrates well with their ERP. The team is responsive to suggestions, but they note that a due date predictor for purchase orders is still needed.

"Skody Scheduling Helped Us Reach 100% On-Time Delivery Fast"

What do you like best about Skody?

Scheduling with Skody has allowed us to get from our plateau of 80% OTD up to a plan that allows for 100% OTD in just over a month. Skody optimizes our schedule, not just by machine, but also by worker and skillset which gives us a REAL schedule that we can deploy to our team. I really like that you can work on a plan in the background without sending that plan to the production floor until you're ready. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Skody?

I really like Skody, however if I had to pick a con...we had to get better with our data inputs such as BOMs, time tracking, etc in order for Skody to give us the best, most accurate schedule. It would still give us a schedule regardless, however it was most optimized if the data was accurate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Skody solving and how is that benefiting you?

I couldn't find any other job shop scheduling software that actually considered our employees when scheduling. The different software would put together a machine schedule which wasn't realistic.
