Shep Reviews & Product Details

Shep is a comprehensive order-to-cash system integration platform designed to streamline and automate the complex processes involved in order fulfillment for manufacturers and distributors. By connecting various order channels such as Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), marketplaces, emails, PDFs, and core enterprise systems into a single managed platform, Shep facilitates seamless order processing from receipt through fulfillment and invoicing, thereby reducing manual labor, minimizing errors, and providing prompt support when necessary. At the core of Shep's functionality is its 'integration fabric,' an intelligent middle layer that consolidates and automates intricate order processes across multiple systems. This architecture standardizes data from all connected systems into a unified language, ensuring consistent and reliable information flow throughout the order fulfillment ecosystem. By decoupling systems so they communicate solely with the integration fabric rather than directly with each other, Shep eliminates the fragile dependencies typical of point-to-point integrations. This decoupling allows for system upgrades, replacements, or maintenance with minimal impact on other connected systems, significantly simplifying change management. Shep's platform offers several key features: - **Connect**: Integrates various order channels, including EDI, emails, PDFs, and eCommerce platforms, into a single workflow, ensuring all orders are managed cohesively. - **Orchestrate**: Automates multi-step, complex processes by enforcing business rules and complying with customer requirements, thereby eliminating manual intervention. This includes automated order entry, order change automation, proactive customer communication, and more. - **Observe**: Provides real-time tracking of every order through the stages of the order-to-cash cycle, offering a live visual map of the entire order fulfillment process, complete audit trails of all transactions, and multi-system transaction monitoring for each order. - **Govern**: Centralizes the management of rules, users, and integrations, allowing for efficient administration of users and roles with granular permissions, as well as control over business logic globally or by connection for unique requirements. By implementing Shep, organizations can achieve significant operational improvements, including a 75% reduction in integrations and customizations to their ERP systems, a tenfold increase in the speed of setting up new integrations, and a 95% decrease in manual order processing work. These enhancements lead to faster, more accurate fulfillment processes that are scalable and adaptable to changing business needs. In summary, Shep offers a robust solution for manufacturers and distributors seeking to unify their order operations, reduce manual workload, and enhance the efficiency and accuracy of their order-to-cash processes. By leveraging Shep's integration fabric and comprehensive platform features, businesses can transform fragmented back-office operations into a cohesive and automated strategy, enabling growth without the burden of technical debt or increased IT overhead.
