Not great. Support and training is also a bit questionable - I've been notified of a certificate upgrade too late in my opinion(very last minute) and through no workflow of the system despite being an admin. For training I've been pointed to external consulting partners back in 2015. Integration with SAP SolMan also not great. Also not great in terms of simulations in terms of notifications of elements missing and suggestion to fix. **Recommendations to others considering SAP Signavio:** Bery good product **What problems is SAP Signavio solving and how is that benefiting you?** Process flowing for complex financial and procurement processes. Without learning BPMN or other project management fundamentals, you can design a process collaboratively. **What do you dislike about SAP Signavio?** The quick model, as well as the model editor, have limitations around changing the sequence or editing existing steps. It would be beneficial to add at least an easy re-sequencing feature in the quick model. It is difficult to switch from model editor to quick-modeling if there are any inconsistencies. **What problems is SAP Signavio solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is solving business process mapping in a collaborative manner, as well as integration with workflow and other tools. Signavio helps us to break down these barriers and make each area's processes visible to the wider business, showing them what happens and who to go to should they need to make contact. It helps with the day-to-day running of operations, increases everyone's knowledge of their own company and facilitates change at a far greater rate than ever before. It also helps us to promote consistency across the firm and get everyone talking the same process language as well as easily being able to comment on specific areas of processes using the functionality within the system. ### 4. In addition it is also very easy to use for the Collaboration Hub users to have access to processes. We received from both user groups very positive feedback. Due to COVID the deployment program took place remot via GoToMeeting. But it worked very well and the whole programm was well prepared and very helpful for us. We choose the premium deployment program, what allowed us to continue with monthly Q&A sessions with SIgnavio. This was very helpful for us and together with Signavio consultant it was more like a real team-work. We really appreciate that. **What problems is SAP Signavio solving and how is that benefiting you?** * Document processes as a baseline for further improvements * Design of to be processes for ERP transormation (MS Dynamics) * Training material for new employees * Connection between several other informations (templates, work instructions, learning videos etc.) --> employees love the intuitivity of collaboration hub and use it as their knowledge centre --> transparency increase for the new ERP introduction ### 7. Quick Model takes JAD sessions to a whole new level and the Simulation provides the capability to compare scenarios and therefore makes it very useful prior to implementing new processes. **What do you dislike about SAP Signavio?** Word Reporting functionality could be more streamlined. **What problems is SAP Signavio solving and how is that benefiting you?** By mapping business processes you get a holistic one source of the truth and can easily show integration between processes and systems. I appreciate the QuickModel mode for capturing process details at interviews, when people are talking and you naturally feel rushed. Once the QuickModel is done you can enhance and fine tune the model. Custom attributes make Signavio flexible. And there various ways to configure custom attributes. Error checking helps to stay on course with the BPMN 2.0 standard. For capturing processes that have systems and IT components Signavio has a built in smarts - systems are clearly visible on the screen, including the connects and dependencies. Then comes the Dictionary: all commonly used items (reports, tasks, documents, systems, etc.) should be placed there so that your entire team or organization operate using the same common set. Having a dictionary was huge to us. Once the model is ready it can be published to the Collaboration Hub - we consider it a process Wikipedia that can be used by anyone inside the organization, vendors and new joiners. That's what I call end-to-end in process improvement. Bonus: scenarios, bottlenecks and planning. You can run simulations to look at process resourcing, identify bottlenecks, look at ways to improve. We use that function to calculate ROI and present to the management. All output can be saved to PDF, Word and Excel. **What do you dislike about SAP Signavio?** I think there's room for improvement on the reporting. Currently the reports are good, but Process Modeler report choices can be enhanced with analytics, professionally styled output (management-ready) and better Excel export options. And of course we'd like to see a custom report builder. **Recommendations to others considering SAP Signavio:** Put time into teaching your team on the theory and basics of BPMN. This has nothing to do with the tool - it is a foundation that needs to be built before creating content in Signavio or any other BPMN tool and getting the most out of it. Get Signavio consulting or a 3rd party consultant to do the training. Then ask the experts for a mentoring period of 2-3 months. **What problems is SAP Signavio solving and how is that benefiting you?** Process Improvement and ROI of automation across finance and tax. Optimization of shared services. We were able to see a clean picture of organizational areas that needed improvement. Management appreciated the scenario planning and ROI calculations. Others in the organization can learn about the processes and discover improvement opportunities. ### 11. There’s not too much of a learning curve, and process diagrams look much cleaner than other competing programs. **What do you dislike about SAP Signavio?** There were parts of the interface that were very finnicky and not intuitive. You could not add swim lanes or pools very easily after adding all the events if you had made a mistake. **What problems is SAP Signavio solving and how is that benefiting you?** It’s very easy to model everyday processes and publish them. ### 14. Of course you might get confused in the beginning because of the expanding panels that you have to access but once you figure that out it is just click, click double-click and drag. Another good thing is that you can expert a live version of your work to a html site, and you can have a workflow like "live" and accessible from outside signavio for other users. **What do you dislike about SAP Signavio?** I must say that having the same interface and same functionality for the past 4 years it is kind of boring, you will get to master it, but some smoother gui or maybe some other new features, like making BMP for different areas of a company not only workflows doe development would be much more useful. In few words more design options would be great so that it covers a lot more areas of interest. **Recommendations to others considering SAP Signavio:** If you have to choose, you can choose a more comprehensive tool with more features and with more explanations when it comes to BMP. I will not name here any but I'm guessing you can figure it out for yourself, also if you are working a a small environment this is all you need. **What problems is SAP Signavio solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have started working with this as the only mean here in the old company i have worked in, and it did his job, it resulted nice workflows and helpful presentation of those workflows, here i'm talking about dev workflows. ### 15. If you have access on all the folder tree you can link workflows between them or create workflows on layers for different structures of management or teams. They will be able to see only what they are interested in and not a stuff diagram almost unreadable. Adding this kind of abstract layers help you work more organised and allow you to concentrate only on bits and pieces when creating a workflow. All the shapes that you will eventually use in creating a workflow are categorised each on their purpose that they will have when creating a process. This is very helpful and allow you not to search random from time stoppers shapes but go directly to to it and use it. Another useful feature is the possibility in exporting those diagrams in embedded html code. So you don't have to resize the diagram in your html wiki page or help page just copy and paste the code and there you have it, link directly to you diagram. Also it can export as .pdf, .png, .gif., and if you set a level of security those workflows or parts of them will not be accessible to those that don't have your clearance. **What do you dislike about SAP Signavio?** I can't say i dislike it, but i can say that a much more user friendly interface would be a big plus, of course that improving fonts that are used and redesigning a little more sharpened objects would create a pleasant work environment for the eye of the user. **Recommendations to others considering SAP Signavio:** If you already have an encounter with other process designing tool, then prepare yourself for something that it is simpler and have all the functionalities you were used to, but it will take you some time until you will figure this out. If this is your first tool then I can say that it is the best way to start. **What problems is SAP Signavio solving and how is that benefiting you?** I'm using this tool for the past 3 years, i have design in it workflows for Change and Release Management for different teams and products that in the end were successfully implemented. Some of the workflows are still used today, others were improved. ### 16.
