&lt;p&gt;I’d measure time to value by how quickly staff can generate the firm’s most common documents without assistance, not simply when the platform goes live. The hardest templates would probably be documents with conditional clauses, matter-specific fields, and multiple data sources. I’d include one of those in the pilot because a simple letter template won’t reveal how much setup the automation really needs.&lt;/p&gt;
