"Using Rebelle for traditional looking digital painting: an unmatched experience"
What do you like best about Rebelle?

Best software for traditional looking digital painting I´ve ever tried. Period Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rebelle?

I haven´t noticed downsides to Rebelle so far, I was worried about the performance on extra large canvases but everything runs smooth. (Notice: my PC has a ryzen 9900x3d, 64 Gb ddr5 6000 mt/s, an RTX 4070 super and Rebelle is installed on a SSD M.2 Nvme drive, but i do encounter performance issues on other digital painting softwares like CSP or PS when using huge canvas/resolutions and demanding brushes at big sizes) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Natural Art Feel, Needs UI and Feature Improvements"
What do you like best about Rebelle?

I like how Rebelle feels more natural compared to other apps, which makes the art process more intuitive for me. I also appreciate the color mixing feature because it stands out in enhancing my creative work. Setting it up was easy, which made it convenient to start working right away. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rebelle?

I wish it had touch gestures built in if you're using it on a touch screen. Also, the canvas textures offered with purchase are limited and added ones are oddly expensive. Maybe just better UI options, adjustability for smaller screens. It's not bad, but could use work. I generally plan out my compositions on Procreate for its ease of use and simplified ability to manipulate and transform composition. I have tried using Rebelle's transform tools, they are very limited. Just better transforming tools like better transforming tools and liquify, touch gestures and UI options for tablets, as well as more canvas options included with Rebelle at purchase. "Digital Painting Mastery with Rebelle"
What do you like best about Rebelle?

I use Rebelle for my creative artwork and explaining to my students how oil and acrylic paint works. It solves a mess by allowing me to work digitally with my students, without having to worry about setup and cleanup time. It gives me the exact same effect as true-to-life oil paints. What stands out the most is how I can mix colors on screen, and it has a realistic vision of what the paints actually do. The initial setup was very simple, just like most software for Windows. Overall, it's that good of a program that I'd absolutely rate it a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10 for recommending it to a friend or colleague. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rebelle?

I would probably say photograph editing is probably the biggest weakness that Rebelle has. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Huge jump from v3 to v8 - glad I did it."
What do you like best about Rebelle?

Huge changes from my Rebelle 3. The additional features really help this amateur learn more about what I'm doing but also make the job easier. Not that I have more time to play around and use the program it made sense to finally upgrade. I just wasn't using it enough to warrant the changes. But I'm very impressed with the upgrade and Christmas pricing. Ease of implementation really helped me and I'm hoping the ease of integration with my other work will pay off as I help my Son's church. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rebelle?

No upgrade option from v3. That would have been nice but waiting and seeing today's Christmas sale, while not an upgrade price (big difference if I had a new version). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Perfect Digital Watercolor Experience with Seamless UI"
What do you like best about Rebelle?

I love the simple user interface of Rebelle, which makes it easy to use for intermediate-level artists. I also find the watercolor paper cold pressed textured canvas and the watercolor and ink-based tools essential in replicating my real-life watercolor style. The initial setup was awesome! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rebelle?

I wish there was one made for iPadOS or at least for computers with integrated graphics to make it more accessible without losing its imaging abilities and qualities. This program truly does a better job of replicating real life watercolors and other mediums, yet it is hard not to wonder how it will keep up with the real life constraints of peoples financial situations, as the people who benefit from this software at the moment are the niche creators. "Recreates Traditional Art with Excitement"
What do you like best about Rebelle?

I love using Rebelle for my own personal art projects because it allows me to recreate traditional art. It's fun and exciting to use. I especially love the oil bristle brushes, which are a standout feature for me. The initial setup was also easy enough. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rebelle?

It's difficult to always know how to recreate water paint the way it works in real life. More tutorials on how each setting will affect brushes and paint are needed for beginners. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Realistic Painting Experience with Rebelle"
What do you like best about Rebelle?

I love the intuitive environment of Rebelle, which provides a refreshing traditional painting feel in the digital realm, something highly valued for being unique. I deeply appreciate the capabilities of the brushes and how they interact with each other to mimic color blending very similarly to real-world paints. This feature allows me to achieve textures and colors that I haven't been able to achieve with any other painting software, making the creative experience authentic and enriching. Additionally, the initial setup of Rebelle is incredibly easy, as I just need to open the program and I can start painting immediately. This greatly simplifies the creative process and allows me to focus on my art without distractions. For these reasons, I am completely convinced to recommend Rebelle, giving it a 10 out of 10 in that recommendation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rebelle?

It could improve the customization of the screens and allow them to be arranged to the user's liking. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Realistic Drawing Experience with Creative Tools"
What do you like best about Rebelle?

I love how Rebelle serves as a perfect tool for my schoolwork and is a substantial source of charm due to the unique style it enables in my drawings. It excels in creative expression where other software like Photoshop falls short. I appreciate all the comprehensive tools it offers and the incredible realism they bring to digital art, making it feel almost as if I'm working with physical media. This authenticity makes the creative process genuinely engaging. Additionally, I am impressed by the dedication evident in the tool's development; it's clear that Rebelle is made by creatives for creatives. The setup of Rebelle is incredibly user-friendly, especially the newest version, which makes the paper setup process automatic and seamless. The interface is intuitive, which makes getting up and running with the software a breeze. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rebelle?

I feel that Rebelle could benefit from better integration with Photoshop, as the connection between these two tools could be improved, though I havent really tried the 8 pro version just yet Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A phenomenal software to mimic traditional art mediums"
What do you like best about Rebelle?

The authenticity of it. How well it mimics the real mediums. Especially love the water draining down in the watercolor brushes, the impasto of oil brushes, and my most favourite - the metallic brushes. Bought the new upgrade for the symmetry tool. All in all a really good software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rebelle?

I don't see any downside to it at the moment. However, a few things you can consider are creating a Discord community, which would make it easier for communication and resolving queries. Also, if there are a few more feature upgrades to the timelapse setting in the software. This would greatly help in exporting and marketing artists' work on social media. "Great digital painting software with a traditional feel"
What do you like best about Rebelle?

Compared to other digital painting software (Photoshop, Affinity Photo, Procreate, etc), Rebelle has the most realistic look and feel of traditional tools. The watercolor spreads, the oil paint is layered, and I can replicate the dusty textures of charcoal or calk with little effort. The parameters of these features can be adjusted to fit personal style.

With its realistically textured canvases/papers and customizable brush effects paired with a graphics tablet, it feels great to work with.

The exporting features are also good for when it's time to prepare a file for print. It even has a feature, NanoPixelExport, that allows for scaling up without ruining the quality or delicious textures that you've worked hard to create.

And it's a perpetual license! None of that predatory subscription pricing that so many other companies require. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rebelle?

The selection tools could use a little more love. I find myself making some final touches in Affinity Photo, for example, just because it's better at selecting specific ranges or areas. Rebelle isn't primarily a photo editing program, though, and it's not fair to expect it to have the same tools as one.

Depending on workflow, this may not be an issue for most people. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
