**What do you like best about Poppulo Digital Signage?**

I like how easy it is to manage and control Poppulo. The simplicity and speed at which I can update information, remove old information, and get new information live again is amazing. I appreciate that information can be displayed in seconds and routed to multiple screens at once, so there's no need for printing or hanging, and multiple items can be displayed on one screen. I love that when information expires, it doesn't continue to show, which keeps things relevant to our young viewers. Running all of the screens in one building from the same platform is great.

**What do you dislike about Poppulo Digital Signage?**

The only thing that's weird is the inability to display .pdf files.

**What problems is Poppulo Digital Signage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Poppulo to quickly display information on multiple screens, eliminating the need for printing. It's easy to manage, allowing me to update and remove info efficiently. It helps keep info relevant for students, making it great for event announcements.

**What do you like best about Poppulo Digital Signage?**

It is a simple and effective digital signage solution for our team.  The upload process is straightforward, and the platform displays content cleanly and consistently, which helps ensure our team always has access to timely updates and visual communication.

**What do you dislike about Poppulo Digital Signage?**

One area for improvement would be content optimization. Since I typically create slides in PowerPoint and then save them as JPEGs to upload, it would be incredibly helpful if the platform could automatically adjust or optimize content for ideal display dimensions—especially for screen resolutions or aspect ratios.

**What problems is Poppulo Digital Signage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Poppulo helps solve the challenge of communicating with a large team that works across different shifts and sub-departments. Because we don’t have the manpower to host multiple daily meetings or shift meetings, it’s difficult to ensure that everyone receives the same information in a timely and consistent way. Using Poppulo’s digital signage allows us to share important updates, reminders, and announcements with the entire team—regardless of their schedule—helping improve communication, alignment, and overall efficiency.

**What do you like best about Poppulo Digital Signage?**

How easy is it to load and edit and time out certain information. Also the amount of loads we can add, I appreciate that we can add many at a time.
Access was also easy to implement for our team, which helped get us a better understanding of the system and support from techs, their customer service is the best. 
Personally I update in Poppulo every month, sometimes more often, and its extremely user friendly.

**What do you dislike about Poppulo Digital Signage?**

The only downside, and maybe its our contract, is that we cannot include slides with movement/sounds or powerpoints to the screen. It is something we would enjoy doing for staff.

Helping us with Communication, which many users ignore when emailed, but catches their eye on the signage when walking in or out of building.

**What do you like best about Poppulo Digital Signage?**

The customer service is top-notch. There are several excellent avenues to get help: the forum, which links to customer service techs, and I have a dedicated Customer Success Manager who is always there to get me what I need.

**What do you dislike about Poppulo Digital Signage?**

I wish the interaction with other products were easier. APIs are available but seem complicated at best. We just do not have the in-house expertise to get it set up and maintained. Their customer service is great and has helped me on many occasions, but I could never really get it going.

Ask questions in the forum. Super helpful.

The software gives you the ability to do exactly what you want. Through both web and application-based software, you can streamline complex Digital Signage Presentations

**What do you dislike about Poppulo Digital Signage?**

As an advanced developer, I would like to see more error checking or any error checking when scripting. It gives you so much potential, but often critical time is spent in trial and error due to a misspelling in "Player.SetVariable" or other basic expressions.

It gives me the ability as a single admin to reach a much larger audience without investing in other resources to accomplish a task that the player performs with minimal user input.

I find the site itself to be helpful in a business fashion. It has a user-friendly UI and various levels of information at your fingertips.

The support response could be improved. Submitting a support ticket does not guarantee a response. I usually wait several days without an email letting me know my ticket has been viewed or is in a queue.

If I get support response it's to address an issue with design or implementation of the software I use for digital signage.

Connect with colleagues wether by email or directly from the mobile application promote quick communication for a better collaboration.

Limited layout template provided on the library. Need to build design ourself to make it fit with objective.

The implementation of analytics to monitor email open rate and  email delivery rate has many benefits. We now know all the data and make improvement on our email content design to attract recipient to open the email.

**What do you like best about Poppulo Digital Signage?**

Poppulo remains one of the best internal comms email platforms on the market. The ease of set up, email creation, and measurement make it a great tool for any business looking to use email to engage colleagues. 

There's a lot of customisation possible for advanced users, and the integration of a survey tool and event tracking is a nice bonus for teams who want more from the platform.

**What do you dislike about Poppulo Digital Signage?**

The major issue is the email builder feels like it was designed over a decade ago. There's been no major enhancements to user experience and new platforms have much better WYSIWYG editors with drag and drop creation and more creative layouts. 

That said, if you can work confidently in tables, you can do a huge amount with the tools available.

**What problems is Poppulo Digital Signage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides an all in one digital comms platform to make sure our emails land with impact, and allows us to measure that impact with detailed analytics. Over the last six months, we've built a clear view of what colleagues want from our emails and digital comms, which we're able to use to improve what we do.

**What do you like best about Poppulo Digital Signage?**

Nothing. The service is slow, our needs are not listened to, and our customer support reps do not seem to care.

**What do you dislike about Poppulo Digital Signage?**

Everything. We have been working on what we thoguht would be a simple project for eight months with minimal progress. To Poppulo's credit, there were additional steps we needed to take which added to this timeline. However, now that we are at the point of being able to work on our original goals, we are being told those were never requested. Everyone seems to only have a one track mind. We ask for three things, only the most recent gets attended to while the others are forgotten about. WHen we ask about the other items, we are told they were never requested, despite having a paper trail with these requests. We are so frustrated with the service that we are dangerously close to pulling our contract. Make it easy for yourself and just do not use Poppulo.

Literally none. It has been eight months since we requested a design upgrade and all tha has happened is reupping our contract with no benefits or additional services recieved.

It creates strong, branded newsletters that are easy to compile with it's intuitive drag and drop features. 
Poppulo also provides great insights into your internal communications.

**What do you dislike about Poppulo Digital Signage?**

As an enterprise user, I would like  more flexibility in creating sub-accounts and changes to templates. Currently requests like these go through the process of an online request form to the support team. It can take a few days to resolve as the support team aren't the quickest in coming back. Sometimes, changes to your template design (such as adding or removing a component)  needs to be actioned urgently and so it would be easier for users to be able to do this themselves.

Allows us to send our internal staff communications in a sleek and branded design template. Provides useful analytics to help shape out employee comms.

Poppulo provides a lot of features trough its web version which othewise would have been a lot difficult to get hands on the software. Also the great documentation of the poppulo helped a ton to be able to get started with the website and work on more advanced features

There are no downsides as such for a great software like Poppulo. But If you ask any, I would be interested in seeing many   video documentations provided to every feature to understand the technology in more visual manner.

It helped solve the content management by not only providing the great UI but also great features to display content in the manner which cannot be done without the software.

**What do you like best about Poppulo Digital Signage?**

Poppulo is user-friendly with intuitive navigation. I'm able to quickly send or schedule mass communications. The analytics dashboard allows us to easily discern trends and preferences among readers of our communications. This actionable feedback has yeilded fantastic results. I especially like how it's easy to send emails on behalf of other employees and spoof the emails address and name.

**What do you dislike about Poppulo Digital Signage?**

In very limited circumstances the program has misdirected auto-replies to the incorrect inbox. Poppulo has since made this very minor limitation clear using a disclaimer on the website. We mitigated the issue. It wouldn't effect my choice to use poppulo in the future.

Poppulo offers me the ability to send mass emails, which I don't have in my standard email platform. The reader data is really helpful as we refine our strategic communications.

Templates can be tricky to use sometimes and there aren't a large variety of pre-made ones to choose from. They are hard to make your own and have them themed to your brand

I enjoy that Poppulo is always willing to take feedback from its users and make enhancements to the platform. It's also very up-to-date with current times in terms of technology.

**What do you dislike about Poppulo Digital Signage?**

I wish that we could schedule content per device rather than having to have a channel that holds a playlist for a device, if that makes sense. It can be cumbersome doing so.

Poppulo has helped streamline a lot of our communications. This is beneficial because I sit on a small marketing team, and having any way to help make our internal communications more effective and efficient is essential to our success.

Web based interaction is great. As features are added for controlling and editing signage, it's only gotten better.

Honestly, I'm not sure what the exact difference between Refresh, Clear Cache, and Restart options.

Poppulo offers so many additional resources that allow you to think creatively when managing display screens.  Their software is easy to use and their customer support makes it easy to learn new skills.

**What do you dislike about Poppulo Digital Signage?**

You do need some technical knowledge to manage a set of display systems.  It is not too difficult, but you need some understanding of computers and how cloud-based systems function.

We are communicating to students and staff on our campus in the most frequent places they visit, housing and dining.  People from all over campus want to post in our locations.

Poppulo's interface is very user friendly and the support team is second to none. It's very easy to setup capitivating digital displays and if I ever need help, I can reach out to their support team who will answer in a timely manner. This makes it so I can have different team members upload content without having to go through me.

**What do you dislike about Poppulo Digital Signage?**

One thing I dislike is that if the players go offline, there is no notification sent to me. An email notification when one of the players goes offline would be a nice feature to add.

**What problems is Poppulo Digital Signage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Poppulo is helping us solve the problem of displaying room names and pictures for clients that rent our meeting space. This allows us to display a clients picture outside their meeting room so their guests know which way to go.

The Poppulo application is easy to use once you have had a little experience with it.  I love having the Poppulo digital sign board in our work areas.  It is a great tool for sharing information with staff.   I am able to share with multiple areas from my desk on information that may not be shared otherwise.

There are apps built into the Poppulo product that may be interesting to use.  I have not figured out how to configure these apps for my digital display board.  They are not intuitive.

Aspects of the software are sold separately, and we weren't told about that until it was too late. We signed a contract that specified a number of emails, which we thought was the basis for cost. It wasn't until we were nearly done with training that we were told we only bought access to the email templates and sending system, and none of the other features.

None. Once we found out that Poppulo had hoodwinked us into signing a contract that didn't address our needs (we wanted digital signage, not emails) then we discontinued the service.

There are certainly other wonderful features such as the heatmaps and reporting

The process of taking out the data is a bit tedious. We cannot pull information as a whole outside Poppulo. If we want a stats for the month we would have to go into each day download the respective emails.

I like that we can connect it to our HR systems for easier and quicker DL management. I alos like that I can easily see a record of all emails sent, even across role changes. I can see what my predecessor has sent even though I don't have access to her email.

It can be very glitchy at times. The formatting options are confusing and sometimes don't make sense. Occasionally, random visible lines will appear on the actual email.

Building an email template is so easy. I can include images and links and can even lift content from one template to another, which is great when you work for a global comapny and have different types of newsletter. I also love the analytics, being able to track open rates and click throughs helps us continuously improve our content.

Our address books don't seem to integrate well with Poppulo and sometimes we lose people from lists. As I understand it this is more an issue on our side. I do also find the difference between address books and tags confusing and I think there is scope to simply the process of uploading/ storing contact lists.

Sometimes we like to use stories from the global newsletter in our local version. I used to have to copy and paste all the information and find and download the relevant photos, but the function of being able to lift content from one template to another has made things so much easier. It is frustrating that there is no option to send by region or translate to anoter language without paying additional fees. 

The data returned is not easily exportable to analyze in other tools, like excel. All of the tracking and analytics is done manually.

I wish I could upload stop lists to make it simpler to exclude users from a distribution list. I don't like that I have to send a test email to have an updated link to share during email creation. It would be nice if you could compare the analytics of multiple email and pull analytics reports.

Poppulo will always be my go-to tool for email communications. Its easy to use content management system produces highly visual communications which always land well.  It also has great analytics providing great insight into what's working from your communications. Every member of the team I have come across from sales through to the service desk have been incredibly knowledgeable and helpful.  Just a great product and team.

Nothing - the very few issues I have had are always resolved quickly and promptly by the team.

Poppulo is our main email tool and allows us to send creative, visual newsletters that combine text, videos and imagery along with functionality to encourage interaction e.g. likes, surveys, comments.

**What do you like best about Poppulo Digital Signage?**

The flexibility of the email templates means I can change the look and feel of what I'm communicating with my audience. And it's so easy to adapt them based on the content I want to share. 

A platform is nothing within a dedicated and knowledgeable team supporting it. I don't know of another service support team that can outshine the one at Poppulo. These guys genuinely are the best!

**What do you dislike about Poppulo Digital Signage?**

I've used the platform for 4 years now and I can't think of anything significant that I dislike. It's not slow or cumbersome to navigate. The only thing I would say is -perhaps a suggestion to take this service to the next level would be to add the option of sending text messages to my audience. Other than that - it's just a load of positives left over to talk about.

If I had to be extremely picky and choose something I'd like to change, it would have to be the media management side of things. Currently, I need to upload images to the media library individually, rather than all at the same time. But this was only a minor inconvenience when setting up a sub-account for the first time in years!

**Recommendations to others considering Poppulo Digital Signage:**

Don't be seduced by other platforms claiming to offer advanced features. Poppulo already has the features you need to successfully engage with your audience. I have 4 years experience using this platform - and I don't feel as though there's anything missing in terms of service or functionality.

**What problems is Poppulo Digital Signage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Because this platform is so flexible in the way you can edit templates - I can create and send more engaging content to my audience. And with Poppulo, I can do it at speed. Not only that, with the analytics/reporting available, I can find out which area of the business is engaged or not. 

What I love about Poppulo is that - even after 4 years of using it - I'm still finding features and tools to give my content an edge.

Poppulo makes your work, whether it's a newsletter, an email list merge and rich message send, getting accurate analytics, you can do it all with this online-based application at a very reasonable cost.

So far, there isn't much I don't like other than some character limitations.

The analytics have proven extremely valuable. We can now see what we're writing toward and succeeding in that goal. We can also avoid sending mass emails and use Poppulo to get the word out to very targeted staff.
