Plauti runs as a Managed Package directly in Salesforce – no middleware, no external data flows, no separate login. For admins and end users, it feels like a natural part of Salesforce. The implementation went smoothly, with no significant user training required. Transparent Licensing Structure. The pricing model is clear and predictable. No hidden per-record fees, no opaque credit consumption, no "talk to sales". A big plus for IT budget planning – the internal business case could be established cleanly and reliably. It actually solves the problem. Our Salesforce environment has grown organically over many years, with a correspondingly high number of duplicates across accounts, contacts, and leads. Previously, we tried various approaches – native Salesforce duplicate rules, custom SOQL scripts, manual cleanup, other tools – and none achieved a reliable, scalable result. Plauti delivered exactly that: reliable fuzzy matching, flexibly configurable match scenarios, controlled merging at the field level, and mass deduplication at a quality we could trust. **What do you dislike about Plauti?** Honestly, there is little to criticize about the pure functionality – the tool worked as expected for us. What you should know in advance: Plauti provides you with very powerful tools, but the quality of the result depends on how carefully you define the match scenarios beforehand. So it's not a true "one-click deduplication" – you should invest time in configuration and testing with a small subset before the first mass run. This is not a product deficiency, but the nature of data quality – but anyone expecting a plug-and-play miracle should adjust this expectation. **What problems is Plauti solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our Salesforce environment has grown organically over many years – accordingly, significant duplicates had accumulated in accounts, contacts, and leads. Before Plauti, we had already invested a considerable amount of internal development time: native Salesforce duplicate rules, our own SOQL scripts, manual cleanup runs, various smaller tools. No approach delivered a result that we trusted enough to roll out on a large scale. I like that I can identify duplicates by comparing values across multiple fields on a given object, all within a single job. Many other tools do not support cross-field matching at all or only allow one cross-field pair per job. -Ability to use multiple scenarios in a single job. I like that I can identify duplicates across multiple scenarios all within a single job, as opposed to running a separate job for each scenario. -Displays potential duplicates to end users on view and edit pages. Duplicate Check comes with a custom component that shows the user potential duplicates based on the more elaborate matching rules that we are setting up in the app. The out-of-box matching and duplicate rules would not catch nearly all of these matches. -Resources/documentation. Duplicate Check comes with a lot of articles, guides, and how-to videos to help you get up and running with the program. -Ease of doing business. It was easy to set up a discovery call and demo for Duplicate Check compared to other tools I considered. Duplicate Check also had the quickest response time when it came to answering questions and issuing a quote. -Helpful SDR. Linh Do was our SDR, and she is probably the best SDR I have worked with for any app. In addition to being prompt and clear, Linh did a great job understanding the details of our use case and tailored her demo to show how Duplicate Check could handle some of the trickier problems we would be facing. -Pricing/nonprofit discount. I was concerned that Duplicate Check would be out of our price range, but the product was very affordable, especially with the non-profit discount. We will save much more on employee time than we will spend per year on Duplicate Check. **What do you dislike about Plauti?** There isn't anything I dislike about Duplicate Check. However, the tool is so capable and sophisticated that it might be difficult for a new admin or an also-admin to use. **What problems is Plauti solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are using Duplicate Check for: -Identifying and merging large quantity of existing duplicate records -Alerting users about potential duplicates on record view and edit pages -Preventing duplicates from being created in the first place Reducing the number of duplicates in our system will make it easier for users to find the correct record when searching for data on a contact/account. It's quick to set up, highly customisable, and allows you to tailor a perfect balance between what you want to happen automatically, and what you want to have a set of eyes on first. My favourite feature is the ability to set a value preference on a field-by-field basis - for example, on this [date] field, I want you to keep the latest value, but on this [date] field, I want you to keep the earliest value. I once had an issue that Duplicate Check couldn't solve (because Salesforce doesn't support it, not because of a product short-coming), and rather than saying it couldn't be done, their support team went above and beyond and provided me with the code for a custom trigger that solved the problem. **What do you dislike about Plauti?** The pricing tiering could be a little more flexible - it makes big jumps at the top-end of record numbres. **What problems is Plauti solving and how is that benefiting you?** Salesforce's out of the box duplicate management rules are clunky and inflexible. Duplicate Check allows us to analyse virtually any object of our choosing, set the amount of fuzziness we want about the rules for matching, balance the priority of fields used for matching, and then determine which values should be preferred on a field-by-field basis. ### 9. On the other hand, it has been a good choice as an ally for Salesforce CRM security. Plauti has been a tool that has encompassed both preventive and corrective tasks regarding data cleansing and ensuring information quality and security. In terms of usability, it is quite user-friendly and adaptable to various levels of users. It is easily implemented and seamlessly integrates with other tools like Duplicate Check. The frequency of usage within our organization is nearly daily, making the tool a permanent fixture and exhibiting good levels of UX/UI. Corporately, customer support is a priority as there is a commercial interest in selling more and better, thus providing continuous support. **What do you dislike about Plauti?** As the main limitation, I have found difficulty in establishing data validation rules preventively. **What problems is Plauti solving and how is that benefiting you?** The tool is automatically solving CRM contact duplication issues both preventatively and correctively. Additionally, it currently resolves data quality processes in sales opportunities, adding value to the sales process and saving time for the sales staff. I've looked into similar products, and Duplicate Check is the best all-around software for matching and merging SF duplicates. We particularily like the ability to select a master record based on customizable criteria, and the ability to set merge rules on a field-by-field basis. I worked with Linh, one of the reps at Duplicate Check, who demoed the product and showed me how to customize the software for our organization. She was incredibly helpful and professional, and made the product easy to implement. The trail period was very generous as well, allowing us to try out and benefit from all the features of Duplicate Check. **What do you dislike about Plauti?** The more advanced feature sets are prohibitively expensive for organiztaions with small budgets. **What problems is Plauti solving and how is that benefiting you?** It helped us to find and merge dupliate contacts and accounts with ease. ### 12. We are able to schedule automated merge jobs based on slam dunk criteria such as 100% match on First Name and Email, and also set up jobs to find obscure potential matches using partial matches on First or Last Names, age, Mailing Address, Etc, that we can then review manually for those harder to find dupes, especially when we find matches using nicknames or typos in fields. **What do you dislike about Plauti?** The only improvement we would like to see would be the ability to add some if/and/or statements to the match criteria, we have been able to work around this using the filters and the exclude/ignore if null features in the match criteria. **What problems is Plauti solving and how is that benefiting you?** Beyond data quality the biggest advantage to Duplicate check is that it allows us to prevent duplicate communications being sent to contact in our CRM, especially when a duplicate is created at a different stage in the comm flow that matches an existing contact, we can prevent conflicting and duplicate messaging. ### 22. Duplicate management is always a nightmare in Salesforce and this is by far the best tool I've come across to identify and merge contacts based on disparate field matching. Our team were supported through the sales process by Linh Do - she was incredibly helpful and made the whole process seamless, finding us answers to all our questions and helping understand how to get the most value from the tool. **What do you dislike about Plauti?** While the breadth of configuration options is fantastic, it's also intimidating and somewhat impenetrable at first glance. It took us a while to understand the various panes of the tools and how they interacted - the tab ordering is different to the order you have to use them for example. **What problems is Plauti solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have various Salesforce integrations the necessitate us allowing duplicates to be created in Salesforce, unfortunately. Previously we manually idenfied these and merged them periodically but now we can accurately uncover them and automatically merge. Identifying them alone is a huge step as often it's not obvious they're duplicates as Contacts could have up to 7 email addresses. With Plauti, we're able to compare all emails across the fields on a record, find duplicates and merge. ### 23. It is easy and intuitive to use, and people can make various changes to the process using different actions such as Apex code or standard tool configuration. **What do you dislike about Plauti?** Sometimes the DC Local is working slower or uses a lot of RAM, causing the computer to slow down. **What problems is Plauti solving and how is that benefiting you?** DuplicateCheck is solving our problems with duplicate records. With that tool, we are merging right now manually, and in the future, we will do it automatically. It helped a lot. ### 24. It works with standard and custom objects. Standard and custom fields can be used as criteria for identifying duplicates and you can easily set a weighted score for each. When multiple criteria are set, an overall duplicate percentage score is calculated. Additionally, there are LWC that can be implemented on pages showing the potential duplicate, as well as automation features to mass update/merge duplicates in bulk. **What do you dislike about Plauti?** The scoring of duplicate variables takes a little time to understand through trial and error, but once you get the hang of it, it's easy to grasp and update if needed. **What problems is Plauti solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our org had a problem with duplicate accounts and inbound leads coming through. Since Duplicate check also works at identifying potential duplicates between leads and existing accounts, we've setup some simple rules that can easily identify those through their LWC on a record page. This took some time to overcome. A person with a more technical background/a better understanding of SFDC would have an easier time adapating to the tool. Convenient would be if there is a real-time API that can send data back to the ERP system, to alert me that I am entering a duplicate. When doing a large project, I like being able to do local processing offline, it's very fast. **What do you dislike about Plauti?** The price tiers are based on the number of records in your database. That's not uncommon, but depending on the industry a small company could have a huge database. This really helps cut down on any potential duplicates entering our system overnight. The merge rules are also extremely helpful and how we can get granular on each individual field. **What do you dislike about Plauti?** The main pain point with Duplicate Check is the amount of resources it uses to run the jobs. Since SFDC only allows 5 apex jobs to run at any given time, sometimes DC can take up one of those spots pretty much all day, in order to go through all the records in SFDC. Creating your own scenarios is helpful but it is also just a guessing game. I wish there was a way to easily know what the best scenario is based on our environment instead of moving the weight bars and through a dart on the wall hoping the weighting is correct. **What problems is Plauti solving and how is that benefiting you?** Duplicate Check is identifying duplicates in our system which is very powerful and spreads across our org so end users can merge, automation can merge, and background jobs can merge.
