Shorter learning curve wins, and the reason is about who enters the data rather than who uses the reports. Advanced functionality is useless if records get captured on paper and typed up later, because by then the field detail is already lost. The offline capture described for QuickTrials matters for the same underlying reason, since anything that puts distance between the moment of work and the moment of recording is where accuracy goes.
