Many of the other options out there could do some, but not all of the things we wanted to utilize for our meeting. Pheedloop did it all and more, including a gamification system that really boosted engagement with our attendees. We were able to have a sponsor hall, a poster session, concurrent sessions - it was awesome. Our attendees had excellent reviews of the platform as well. **What do you dislike about PheedLoop?** Pheedloop has so many features - a couple of times I had to really think about where to find a particular feature, but between my colleagues and I it was a quick search. This isn't a knock on the platform - there is just so much you can do it is hard to keep it straight. That's more a of a me problem I think! **What problems is PheedLoop solving and how is that benefiting you?** Holding an academic conference on a platform like zoom doesn't provide the experience that in-person would. Pheedloop gets you as close as possible to that in person experience, especially with those live 1-1 meetings that can be done right inside the platform. They have a decent amount of training videos to get you started and daily AMA hours to help if you need live support. Also very responsive to email support inquiries. Also, PheedLoop is very proactive in listening to their audience and implementing requested changes. **What do you dislike about PheedLoop?** Like any platform, there are some limitations to what you can do, but as mentioned above, PheedLoop is excellent at taking feedback and improving with each iteration. Most of our initial concerns have been addressed and improved in the time that we've been a client. **What problems is PheedLoop solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our biggest complaints with our previous virtual platform were that it was challenging to learn and use and that their customer support responsiveness was almost non-existent. Plus it was really expensive. Our decision to switch to PheedLoop resolved all 3 of these issues. Just when you think you might need a certain feature, it seems that the team at Pheedloop announces that it's here. The developers are very intuitive, and the software demonstrates their talent at creating something user-friendly that still provides a wonderful experience. **What do you dislike about PheedLoop?** The pricing structure is a bit confusing initially, but the fantastic staff explained everything in detail, and in the end, it's the best structure out there. **Recommendations to others considering PheedLoop:** Make sure to do your research and know what features you need for your event - I bet Pheedloop will meet all your needs and come in less expensive than the rest. **What problems is PheedLoop solving and how is that benefiting you?** We hosted our annual convention using Pheedloop. Without this software, we would have otherwise canceled the event entirely. Pheedloop made it easy to provide great sponsorship opportunities, and we were surprised and ecstatic at the turnout. We did not expect our usual attendees, who tend to steer clear of technology, to attend a virtual event. It went so well that we didn't receive any negative feedback on tech difficulties or the usual confusion and frustration that comes with a new experience. I highly recommend purchasing the optional event day support that Pheedloop offers. Although I only utilized the dedicated tech support three times, the responses and solutions were so quick that attendees barely noticed a glitch. ### 6. The back end features or sorting and uploading the session could be improved, e.g. allowing for adding session and format tracks, allowing for easier sorting the sessions. It would be good to have an opportunity to upload the communication for posts. Currently there is no option and you can't even download the full list with dates and times. **What problems is PheedLoop solving and how is that benefiting you?** Integration with Zoom is great because it allows the presenters that extra comfort due to their existing knowledge of zoom platform. It simplified training process and also eliminated some issues, viewers might have with watching the sessions through Pheedloop. The meeting setup and breakout rooms are still not the best as I see a lot of duplicated names, but it was for few sessions only. ### 7. I wish you could move items around more and add more features like a texture or color in the background. We host instant messaging for attendees who need tech support and when we switched to using Pheedloop, the help requests significantly dropped. Additionally, we are able to integrate streaming tools into the platform - this was a major life-saver for us since some of our clients do not have their own Zoom licenses. ### 8. Our account manager at Pheedloop is VERY accessible to help guide us through the process and responded to questions quickly with helpful, detailed answers. The cost structure makes it affordable and you can select the tools/options you need so you are not paying for a lot of features you won't use - but they are there if you decide to add them. **What do you dislike about PheedLoop?** Most features are very customizable which was great but a few features were not, which we would have liked to have more control over to customize, but it was not a problem. **Recommendations to others considering PheedLoop:** Read the articles and watch the training videos provided on their site - they really, really help to understand the platform, it's features and how to use it. **What problems is PheedLoop solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our events have normally be in person, but everything had to be virtual this year. We were able to reach our audience successfully virtually through Pheedloop. We could still have interaction with 2 way Q&A for our breakout sessions, interact with exhibitors and communicate as often as needed through the email features and push notifications. ### 10. We retrained our team to deliver large conferences online, and thanks to Pheedloop, they could pick up the tools needed quickly and efficiently. Another example of their responsiveness to customer feedback. **Recommendations to others considering PheedLoop:** Go to the daily Q&A sessions that are offered. If there is something you feel is missing, ask Pheedloop about it. This is the closest platform to in person events **What do you dislike about PheedLoop?** at first, it was hard to maneuver - its not dummy-proof to set up - it would be great if it was all drag and drop like Mailchimp or Wix sites. Or have a great instruction manual that is easy to use. Use something like Elementor instead of code to make your individual site best **What problems is PheedLoop solving and how is that benefiting you?** Allowing sponsors to mix with our clients as they would in person. It is not always intuitive and takes a lot of tailoring the messages to make it easy for people to use. Also, this needs to be a mobile friendly system, as so many business people watch events from phones or tablets. **Recommendations to others considering PheedLoop:** This is a reasonably priced system that may not check all the boxes on one's "perfect world wish list," but it is a good platform for events. **What problems is PheedLoop solving and how is that benefiting you?** Being able to brand events is a huge bonus. We needed a way for attendees to be able to raise their hands (so to speak) and ask a question. The chat box is always great, but we would have like a little more interaction. Having a dedicated line to the team made the difference. We had a small issue that with their help, was fixed in just under 3 minutes. If we had to do it ourselves I am not sure how far delayed we would have been. **What problems is PheedLoop solving and how is that benefiting you?** With our events having to go online this year, PheedLoop gave us the opportunity to have a professional polished and well laid out event. We tried to do an event very early on just as the pandemic shut everything down and while it was ok, it was not as polished. They are real game changers. **What do you dislike about PheedLoop?** There is really nothing to dislike. I like giving an honest review, and I can’t think of one thing I dislike. Once you understand the technology, you learn that their platform is great for any type of event. **Recommendations to others considering PheedLoop:** If you have tech skills and understand how to import data and graphics, then you can manage this platform easily. It’s fairly easy for you to build but even easier for your attendees to use. **What problems is PheedLoop solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have been able to run my events like live events with PheedLoop. They understand how important the networking is, and how help entice attendees to stop at booths in the exhibit halls. It’s not a lonely experience walking an avatar around a virtual trade show with text chat as the only way to communicate. Embedding the registration form, speaker section, and agenda/schedule into our own web page was so helpful. Pheedloop's native streaming feature was a game-changer as well. Also, managing administrative tasks (adding speakers, emailing attendees, etc.) was extremely easy and intuitive. We and our attendees loved the lobby, and especially all the accessibility features. Last but not least, the support team was phenomenal. **What do you dislike about PheedLoop?** Separate charges for user and viewer credits. No option to have gallery view, especially for breakout sessions. **What problems is PheedLoop solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are a non-profit organization which, pre-pandemic, hosted all of our events in person. For our signature community convention (the Poverty Solutions Summit), we needed a platform that was easy for community members from all walks of life to use. Pheedloop provided the perfect virtual adaptation and even included accessibility features. The modules all integrate with one another so there's no need to export and finagle with data. Customer service is prompt and helpful. The platform is easy to use; we had first-time virtual event attendees in 2020 and our population ranges from mid-20s-60s++; there were only minor learning curve bumps (to be expected). The back-end is presented nicely with intuitive menu systems that limit the amount of "deep clicks" necessary to perform tasks. As the organizer, I appreciate the efficiency of the system. It's feature-rich and highly customizable without being bogged down. **What do you dislike about PheedLoop?** There were a couple of quirks: in 2020 it was impossible to designate Timezone to reflect local time on some areas. (This has since been fixed). The proposal software could use some better features to assign proposals to reviewers and include the ability to see which proposals still have yet to be assigned to a reviewer by looking at the dashboard without exporting a file. At a glance, it would be preferable to be able to sort proposals by "assigned to reviewer(s)" and "unassigned" to improve workflow. In 2020, zoom did not support all the features desired by our audience (breakouts, gallery view), and we had some sessions leaving PL to connect in a zoom room and some people staying in PL to connect; this created a challenge to keep up with the text chat, though folks adapted. (break-outs have since been added and gallery view seems to be works in progress for 2021). **What problems is PheedLoop solving and how is that benefiting you?** We were already contracted to use PL event software (app, registration, proposal, website) when the pandemic hit. We were able to pivot to a 100% virtual event using their event platform. Our organization has long tossed around the idea of hybrid or "virtual" sessions during our in-person events but has never figured out a way to make this happen seamlessly. We think we will be able to offer more inclusive hybrid events in the future leveraging the technology that's now available and easy to use. **Official Response from George Wong:** > Thanks for the awesome review!
