## Perficient Reviews
  ### 1. Project started out well

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Perficient?**

Perficient's sales team and relationship managers were fantastic and we felt like they understood our needs.

**What do you dislike about Perficient?**

We had a very detailed plan captured in JIRA, however, the signed agreement didn't contain the level of detail that was in JIRA and anything that wasn't legally binding was omitted from the project. Leaving a lot of scope, including customer login ability as out of scope.

**Recommendations to others considering Perficient:**

Avoid. Our project ended up over time, over budget, poorly documented and used obsolete technologies that had to be refactored immediately after launch.

**What problems is Perficient solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We engaged Perficient to help us migrate to a new CMS for a 500 page static website. We've performed similar migrations in the past and understand the complexities and timelines. Having resources that understand the new platform was essential in starting off with the right foot.

  ### 2. Perficient Commerce Cloud Consulting Services

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Logistics and Supply Chain | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2021

**Describe the project or task Perficient helped with:**

Perficient provided Insite Commerce implementation consulting services.

**What do you like best about Perficient?**

The leadership team was good to work with from the beginning. They wanted to make sure we formed a partnership & seemed to genuinely want to determine what the best implementation would be to meet our needs. They did a good job of keeping us from only thinking of how things have always worked & considering new possibilities. They have been flexible on setting up ongoing support contract needs, understanding we want to migrate away from full reliance on an external party.

**What do you dislike about Perficient?**

We experienced a few issues where some Perficient development team members did not mesh well with our development team members. I think this was a leadership maturity issue within the Perficient DevOps team. I know developers aren't always expected to be traditional "leaders," but they should have the soft skills necessary to maintain relationships & de-escalate conflicts. Perficient leadership was very open to feedback in these situations & everything worked out fine.

**Recommendations to others considering Perficient:**

Just make sure to clarify roles up front.

**What problems is Perficient solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Perficient helped us to better understand how to conform our business, as much as possible, to leverage the out-of-the-box functionality. This helped minimize customizations & allow us to greatly reduce our development team size.

  ### 3. Perficient is a great consulting firm

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Richard C. | Business Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2019

**Describe the project or task Perficient helped with:**

I worked with Perficient at Lowes corporate headquarters to create an employee-facing portal called the Integrated Workspace Environment (IWE). It was a pretty complex job - we had about 20 different systems that employees were logging in an out of on a daily basis to assist customers in the retail stores. IWE was designed to be a one-stop site, pulling in all information into one location.

**What do you like best about Perficient?**

Perficient was great at taking work off Lowe's shoulders, and providing expertise that Lowe's lacked. Perficient also introduced Agile methodology to Lowes, which changed the way projects were run. They worked fast and efficiently, and when things weren't correct or there was a misunderstanding, Perficient worked with Lowe's to clear that up. Perficient was also able to see other areas within Lowes to help improve, which was a nice addon.

**What do you dislike about Perficient?**

There were a few difficult personalities that we had to deal with upfront, but once those were identified and flagged as problematic to the project, they were replaced immediately. They were very quick to act and make sure Lowes was taken care of. Perficient also could have provided better documentation at the end of their stint. Lowes employees took care of most of the documentation.

**Recommendations to others considering Perficient:**

Be very clear and upfront on what services you want from Perficient. Perficient has a wide network of experts in their fields. No matter the need, they can fill it. And don't be afraid to test them on remote work. Their team is great at working remotely when authorized. Sometimes that's not desirable, but that wasn't a problem for Lowes.

**What problems is Perficient solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Perficient helped Lowes solve the resource problem. They were brought in to do staff augmentation, but it was clear they had the expertise that Lowes lacked and needed.

  ### 4. Post-Project Ongoing Support and Development

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rutledge D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2023

**What do you like best about Perficient?**

Their initial audit and project (when they were Ameex) was solid - it was executed well, and they covered what I was expecting and went above and beyond. Their ongoing support afterwards was good to start, but fell apart as time went on.

**What do you dislike about Perficient?**

We used them for ongoing support from August 2021 - November 2022, until I raised concerns about communication speed. At that time, I was asked to double hours and that I would get better support from a dedicated team. Fast forward to Feb 2022, and we didn't see any improvement on my concerns and I couldn't get the time tracking I repeatedly asked for, as well as numerous issues with each code push.

With Perficient taking over as the new company after buying Ameex, things devolved quickly. Despite multiple conversations with my account manager, nothing changed, even after bumping up hours to have more dedicated resources. I was also told that some months were slow "due to the merger" which raised my concerns greatly about whether or not I was getting the hours I was paying for.

Towards the end, there was also what felt like a lot of gaslighting of my concerns, and outside of an initial project, I cannot recommend Perficient for ongoing support. I've asked multiple times to talk to my AM's direct manager, but have been prevented from doing so. At this point I'm disputing our most recent invoice.

**Recommendations to others considering Perficient:**

If you're looking for an initial project - their scopes and work is solid. If you need ongoing maintenance and support, you'll see delays, lack of time entry/accountability, and limited communication unless you push for answers or information. Disappointing because their team/work was stellar (and the development team is still solid) before, but the simple asks were continually ignored, and over time, I lost trust that I was getting the hours agreed upon.

**What problems is Perficient solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We brought Perficient (Prev Ameex) onboard in 2021 to handle a Drupal 8 > 9 Migration, and site redesign. The initial project was done well, and we engaged them for T&M maintenance and feature development from August 2021 - November 2022.
