These guys make it so hard for people to enable their accounts just so that they can receive the money owed through them.

This account is forced on people by ebay, and they essentially hold your money hostage unless they complete stupid tasks.

Not even my banks have ever been this annoying.

I provided everything they asked for so I can withdraw MY money, and they still ask for more.

I gave them a picture with a VERY CLEARLY visible date, and yet they tell me that it's not readable.

The entire system is EXTREMELY frustrating and I can't stress that enough.

The verification process has been endless and feels designed for established businesses, not individual freelancers. It requires a website URL as a compulsory field, but many freelancers, myself included, work through client referrals or platforms and don't have one. Payoneer advertises 24/7 customer support. This is false advertising. When I urgently tried to contact them, support was showing as closed. There is no way to reach a real person when you need help most.

Nothing positive at the moment. The negative experience has been overwhelming, and the main downside is their support team, which has gone completely silent for two months without providing any resolution. When I tried leaving comments on their LinkedIn page to get visibility and help, they repeatedly deleted my comments while keeping other people’s comments. The biggest red flag for me, and the deal breaker, is how inactive their support team is. They request documents, I provide them, they say everything will be reviewed, and then poof: they’re gone. No replies, complete silence, even after several follow-up requests for updates over the course of weeks. What am I supposed to think about a company that has my personal documents but won’t respond to my messages, and that also deletes my LinkedIn comments on their page when I ask for an update? I like that Payoneer sends money straight to my bank account, which is really convenient. I also appreciate that it converts the currency for me, so the money arrives in my local currency, South African rands, instead of USD. It is fast and reliable. The initial setup was incredibly easy, requiring just my email and a proof of address, and it took less than twenty-four hours. The only positive aspect of my experience with Payoneer was one customer support agent who helped me resolve a minor issue. The agent was professional, responsive, and genuinely tried to assist me, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, this was the only good part of my overall experience with the platform. My experience with Payoneer was extremely frustrating and disappointing, primarily due to their verification process. I spent a significant amount of time and effort trying to provide the required documentation, yet my documents were repeatedly rejected without any clear or reasonable explanation.

One of the biggest issues was that Payoneer did not accept an official document issued by my bank. The document clearly confirmed that I have an account at the bank and included all necessary details such as my full name, account number, issue date, bank logo, and other relevant information. It fully met the requirements typically requested for verification, yet it was still rejected. I find this very difficult to understand, especially considering that such documents are standard and widely accepted.

Because of these repeated rejections, I had to leave work five separate times and even use my vacation days just to try to obtain alternative documents that might be accepted. This caused me to lose both time and money. Some of the requested requirements appear to be unrealistic or very difficult to fulfill in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which makes the platform unnecessarily complicated for users from certain countries.

In addition, the AI chatbot support is very poor and was not helpful at all during this process. It provided generic responses that did not address my specific situation, which only increased the frustration and wasted even more of my time. Getting meaningful assistance through the chatbot was nearly impossible.
