Owl Practice Pricing FAQs

Generated using AI
Is Owl Practice free, or does it offer a free trial?

Owl Practice does not offer a permanent free plan, but it does provide a free trial that lets users to test the product before committing to a paid plan. Trial availability and duration may vary, so users should review the seller's official pricing page for the most current details.

How much does Owl Practice cost in 2026?

According to G2 data, Owl Practice pricing in 2026 starts at $60.00 and can reach $100.00 depending on the selected plan. Pricing may vary based on billing terms or usage, so users should review the Owl Practice Suite's official pricing page for the most current details.

Who is Owl Practice pricing best suited for?

Based on G2 data, Owl Practice's pricing is best suited for solo or small-group mental health practitioners in private practice, particularly Registered Psychotherapists and counselors operating in a single region with straightforward cash-pay billing. All G2 reviewers fall within the small business segment, and multiple cite Owl Practice as their first practice management solution. Owl Starter fits practitioners just launching with limited client volume. Owl Pro suits established solo clinicians needing telehealth, secure messaging, and insurance claims. G2 reviewers explicitly caution against Owl Practice for multi-state operations, US insurance billing complexity, or practices requiring consistently accurate financial reporting.

What are the key differences between the free and paid versions of Owl Practice?

Owl Practice offers no permanent free tier, but a free trial is available for evaluating paid capabilities before committing. Owl Practice's paid plans start at $25/month with Owl Starter, capped at 20 client sessions monthly and covering core scheduling, notes, billing, and reporting. Upgrading to Owl Core ($39/month) removes the session cap and adds online booking and intake forms. Owl Pro ($49/month) unlocks insurance and claims, telehealth video, secure messaging, and clinical measures — features G2 reviewers specifically highlight as high-value. Group Practice pricing requires a custom quote and adds multi-clinician support and internal messaging absent from all individual tiers.

Is Owl Practice considered good value for its pricing?

G2 reviewers of Owl Practice give mixed value signals. Solo practitioners rate it highly, praising financial tracking, automated reminders, Stripe integration, and telehealth video as genuine time-savers. At $25–$49/month, Owl Practice's pricing is competitive for single-clinician Canadian mental health practices needing an all-in-one admin solution. However, lower-rated G2 reviews flag serious concerns: insurance billing inaccuracies, accounting errors, and slow executive-level support during outages undermine value for practices relying on US insurance claims or multi-state operations. Owl Practice's pricing delivers reasonable value for cash-only solo practitioners but carries meaningful risk for those requiring reliable insurance billing or complex financial reporting.

"User-Friendly Functionality, but Support and Interface Could Improve"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Owl Practice?

The sidebar and overall functionality is user-friendly, not overly complicated. I am able to complete my desired tasks without having to click around too many times. As far as glitches, they don't happen too frequently. I can't comment on price as my employer pays for the platform fees. It's pleasant to see that Owl is trying to meet the industry needs, such as adding on AI transcription for notes. Although I don't currently use it, it is a welcome offering. What do you dislike about Owl Practice?

When reaching out to the support team, they're not as prompt as I would like. The interface can look a little outdated rather than modern and visually appealing, which could make it even more enjoyable to use on a daily basis. It would be nice to see an even more detailed breakdown of session statistics rather than the general overview. I quite enjoy the detail that is offered on the Jane platform more.
