## Orbis Reviews
  ### 1. Good for using as an back-up data source

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stacy-Claire I. | Senior Onboarding Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Orbis?**

Easy to search for entities and their affiliates. Ease of use for exporting information in a readable format. Associate with a reputable company.

**What do you dislike about Orbis?**

The information is not always up to date. Some information on closed sources of information can also not be found on Orbis (where you are paying to be able to find that information).

**What problems is Orbis solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Orbis is used by AML/CTF analysts when conducting intelligence gathering on new or existing clients. It has more information than some of the country company registrars do and will even have information not found on open source links.

  ### 2. Orbis for checking company details

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** NAVEEN N. | CDD Case Manager , Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Orbis?**

Orbis gives us the company details like full name along with any previous names of the company, address, list of Directors/Senior Management, ownership etc. it also shows the name of stock exchange if a company is listed on any stock exchange and it is very easy to download the reports as well as it gives us an option to download the specific part which we require

**What do you dislike about Orbis?**

Some times the data recorded in orbis would be out dated or it will not be up to date
Same data when compared with other open sources would provide latest up to date info but sometimes orbis would not be updated

**What problems is Orbis solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Orbis gives us all the company details like full name along with any previous names of the company, address, list of Directors/Senior Management, ownership/shareholding etc. and this helps us as a Bank to perform due diligence or KYC to verify the details we hold in our records

with the help of orbis, i was able to gather all the information which is related to overseas incorporated company details, which is required to complete the KYC review of the customer

**What do you dislike about Orbis?**

we cannot solely trust orbis regarding ownership structure of the client. Sometimes they are not correct. Need to improve on this point to face the competition

**What problems is Orbis solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is solving my data collection problem by providing the details about the company to comeplete my KYC requirements

  ### 8. Excellent Credit Risk Information

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 31, 2021

**What do you like best about Orbis?**

Financial data or credibility assessments of almost every company are reachable. Reports are very effective for taking credit limit decisions and provide general financial strengths of the companies even if there is no published balance sheet and income statement.

**What do you dislike about Orbis?**

Web site panel is very slow, and different suggestions with the same company name are confused. Financial data of the companies in the Middle East and Africa is insufficient.

**Recommendations to others considering Orbis:**

Credibility recommendations can be used in case of unavailable financials.

**What problems is Orbis solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Conducting a business with the companies that request future payment terms is more manageable than before. Analyzing various comprehensive financial reports together makes a significant contribution.

  ### 9. Great WHEN it works!

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yousif H. | Global Inside Sales Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2021

**What do you like best about Orbis?**

There is a lot of relevant data for my role so it is super useful when it works

**What do you dislike about Orbis?**

It's EXTREMELY slow, and more often than not, I have to restart the website. It is getting to the point where I might stop using it. They should make sure they have the proper infrastructure to manage that amount of data.

**What problems is Orbis solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Company insights. I work exclusively with multinational companies. I am interested in the number of locations, good/bad news, mergers & acquisition and company financials

  ### 10. Orbis review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Practice | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2018

**What do you like best about Orbis?**

The new platform that they just launched - fantastic. I like the layout much better and it is overall, updated looking. I use this often for doing research on various companies. The info graphs are helpful for a quick real through when glancing at a company (esp in the financial data).

**What do you dislike about Orbis?**

Minimal info on people other than generic profiles. If looking for backgrounds/research on major stakeholders, probably better to use a different application.

**Recommendations to others considering Orbis:**

Fantastic for company research. Excellent support from our main contact. Not the best for individual data, but you generally are able to get major stakeholder names for companies. The financial data is one of my favorite features of the analytic reports.

**What problems is Orbis solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Research on location and company assets, validating if a company is truthful. IT is helpful when doing business.

  ### 11. Used to research company structures and confirm basic information.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Practice | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2018

**What do you like best about Orbis?**

Great layout to conduct searches and easy to read from the results.

**What do you dislike about Orbis?**

Can take a while to load and slow at times. Moreover, it lacks complete entity information occasionally.

**What problems is Orbis solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Used for further insight regarding companies - address, business purpose, about, type of business, ownership, as part of the business practice to confirm identity.

  ### 12. Track expenses easier

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Writing and Editing | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2018

**What do you like best about Orbis?**

Mint is such a great way to keep track of accounts and spending.

**What do you dislike about Orbis?**

Mint sometimes takes a while to sync up to date.

**Recommendations to others considering Orbis:**

Bite the bullet and go for it!

**What problems is Orbis solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Knowing where the money is and where the money goes is so vital.

  ### 13. Convenient and Organized

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2018

**What do you like best about Orbis?**

It brings many business aspects all together in one place. Easy to keep track of progress on projects.

**What do you dislike about Orbis?**

Having to learn new Software is always a hassle, other than that, things went well.

**What problems is Orbis solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing project expenses

  ### 14. Powerful database

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Machinery | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2018

**What do you like best about Orbis?**

The ability to filter criteria to search for relevant businesses

**What do you dislike about Orbis?**

The data is sometimes incorrect and often requires further verification

**Recommendations to others considering Orbis:**

Do further research on the companies you find. For example, we used company size as a criteria as we wanted to target companies with a minimum of 100 employees - however some of the companies appearing in searches were sole traders, corner shops etc.

**What problems is Orbis solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Searching for businesses within a certain criteria then shows us businesses we should be targeting through sales and marketing

  ### 15. Easy to find business and industry information

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Wholesale | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2018

**What do you like best about Orbis?**

Easy to find company information at your fingertips, we use it to investigate other companies and see what we're up against.

**What do you dislike about Orbis?**

Sometimes I feel like it would be just as easy to do a google search.

**What problems is Orbis solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solving the problem of gaining a competitive edge and knowing what companies are our competition, and what companies we might be able to acquire. Also useful for general industry information.

  ### 16. Relevant industry information

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Supermarkets | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2017

**What do you like best about Orbis?**

I like that I can get relevant and accurate information about an industry quickly.

**What do you dislike about Orbis?**

Sometimes the mint global reports are dense and I can get the information I need by doing a google search instead.

**What problems is Orbis solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gathering data about multiple companies not just in the United States and comparing and contrasting.

  ### 17. Not a bad way to find data

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** 🙏🏿Travis K. | Partner, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 07, 2016

**What do you like best about Orbis?**

I like how they had a lot of filtering options to narrow down initial lists. There is a very large database of mostly historically older companies. Pretty simple user once you get logged in.

**What do you dislike about Orbis?**

Sometimes the contacts were out of date.
If a company was fairly new, there were rarely and records of these companies and employees.
Could have been more up to date with press release and news on different brands.

**Recommendations to others considering Orbis:**

Would try to think about connecting maybe partnering with other types of data providers to keep a more up to date list of contacts. If they combine their sources with that of others, they could create a superpower of a data intelligence provider. Plus, all end users will come out better now than ever before because now we only need one superpower of a subscription versus two separate ones.

**What problems is Orbis solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was making marketing easier for marketers by connecting critical marketing disciplines all under one roof. I realized that this is a great place for marketers, specifically the cog industry.

  ### 18. Satisfied with Mont Global

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marc J. | General Lab Supervisor, Hospital & Health Care, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2016

**What do you like best about Orbis?**

Used Mint Global several times in the past to research information on companies we were interested in doing business with. Details were pertinent and seemed accurate enough. Program was easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Orbis?**

Some searches did take quite a while longer than when performed with other software. Customer service slow to respond to email inquiries in general.

**Recommendations to others considering Orbis:**

Mint global is definitely worth a shot if looking to gain info about prospective companies to collaborate with. Not significantly better than any of the competitors, but not any worse either.

**What problems is Orbis solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Need to identify proper business partners, get background information to make educated guessed. Helped make good choice and rule out untrustworthy companies.

  ### 19. Excellent for research

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Danielle D. | Content Strategist, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2016

**What do you like best about Orbis?**

In trying to establish a structure for a burgeoning start-up, it's amazing to be able to emulate so many successful companies that we love and admire.

**What do you dislike about Orbis?**

Interface could use some work, in terms of user-friendly experiences

**Recommendations to others considering Orbis:**

Use it for business research and any overall looking into what other companies do, and what the makeup of their structure is. It's truly illuminating.

**What problems is Orbis solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have realized that there is no one size fits all structure, and we are moving more towards a hybrid flat-level structure with direct lines to the head of each small department, though overall very collaborative

  ### 20. Mint Global is fantastic so far

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 19, 2016

**What do you like best about Orbis?**

I used mint global for a stocks and equities company I was involved with..

**What do you dislike about Orbis?**

I wish it provided more information on publicly traded companies.

**Recommendations to others considering Orbis:**

We use this to connect with sales force and it does what it needs to do for our company, but more features would be nice, especially in-depth analysis, news, and other information of publicly traded companies for the purpose of online trading. Most of the companies that they have information for are too big for me to work with. Just one of the cons of owning a small businesses. I feel like a lot of the information they give I already know about, and can get from other free sources. It is nice to have them all in the same profile though, instead of having to bounce around to various other sites. Let's take for instance "what the company does" - This can be found on yahoo finance, "who runs the company," can be found on my broker's website, and you get a lot of information on those two subjects. They are lacking on the two remaining questions about the businesses that I think Mint Global is trying to sell: "how successful is the business, and "a good look the business's structure." These are the hardest metrics to come by and I think it's important that they focus on that as well.

**What problems is Orbis solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mint global lead us to a company who we were then partnered up with.

  ### 21. Addata Experience

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bobby M. | Account Executive, Internet, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2016

**What do you like best about Orbis?**

The best part is being able to easily identify contacts by client and their agencies. I also like the news that is pushed to the homepage as a prospecting source.

**What do you dislike about Orbis?**

It's hard to tell the agency that applies to your business at times and also the specific contacts at an agency aligned to a specific business. It also is missing some clients that you would expect them to have.

**Recommendations to others considering Orbis:**

Use for client contacts and front page news. Also to identify the agency.

**What problems is Orbis solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helped me to sound more intelligent in conversations with clients/agencies, understand the structure of a company.

  ### 22. I use Mint Global to gather industry and company information

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2016

**What do you like best about Orbis?**

I like that I can quickly get relevant, accurate, and current information about an industry.

**What do you dislike about Orbis?**

Sometimes the Mint Global reports are very dense and I know that I can get just as good of information by performing a quick google search.

**Recommendations to others considering Orbis:**

A lot of the information in the Mint Global reports is available in publicly available reports (i.e. SEC filings). What is great about Mint Global is that if you're trying to gather data about companies who are not just located in the U.S., you can go to one place and gather comparable data/information. I would recommend that users go here first before chasing down information from multiple sources.

**What problems is Orbis solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am solving the need to get consistent, comparable information. Using Mint Global has helped me do this when comparing companies across industries, or within an industry.

  ### 23. Senior Director of Sales

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew C. | Director Ad Sales - US, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2016

**What do you like best about Orbis?**

The ease at which you can search for agency or brand contacts. Allows me to reach out to almost anyone I want.

**What do you dislike about Orbis?**

When you do a search and you are asked to log back in it does not save your info. You need to enter it again which is pretty annoying.

**What problems is Orbis solving and how is that benefiting you?**

AdData solves one of the most difficult things for any sales organization - finding the right people who can make a decision on buying your product.

  ### 24. My go-to database, could use more consistent updating though

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emily W. | Sponsorship Coordinator, Entertainment, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2016

**What do you like best about Orbis?**

I like that some of the roles are further defined past their title (i.e Role: Promotions & Sponsorship).. makes it easy to find the best contact

**What do you dislike about Orbis?**

I don't feel like it's updated enough.. I would like more On The Record info, more consistently. Also, I often run into bounce backs with contacts. It also can be difficult to find a brand if you don't spell it exactly right or include the proper forms.. it would be better if it gave you results even if you spelled something like E*Trade as E Trade

**What problems is Orbis solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It definitely saves me much time doing research on brand contacts

  ### 25. So-so service for finding contacts

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2016

**What do you like best about Orbis?**

Good way to figure out which agencies work with which brands and for what services

**What do you dislike about Orbis?**

Doesn't seem to be updated regularly to reflect the movement in the industry

**Recommendations to others considering Orbis:**

Good if you're starting out without a lot of contacts and need to get help organizing the marketplace.

**What problems is Orbis solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Looking to get contacts for sales

  ### 26. Important tool for ad community

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason K. | VP - Digital & Marketing Solutions, Entertainment, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2016

**What do you like best about Orbis?**

Finding quick email formats for companies and seeing what's in a certain geography.

**What do you dislike about Orbis?**

I would like to see more companies listed.

**What problems is Orbis solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trying to prospect out territories and reach out to contacts in those areas to build business. I've realized having as many contacts as possible builds a better chance of being heard.

  ### 27. AdDataExpress provides as an invaluable resource on a daily basis to build client relationships.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nathan S. | Account Director - Digital Account Executive, Publishing, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2016

**What do you like best about Orbis?**

Brand / Agency Contact Info
Competitive Spend Data
Brand / Agency Geographic Location Data

**What do you dislike about Orbis?**

Lack of competitive vendor data.
Occasionally reflects incomplete and/or outdated contact info.

**What problems is Orbis solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Developing new relationships across new territories.
Solving vast array of brand business issues upon gaining additional context from client contacts, nationally.

  ### 28. Relevant, curated industry data accessible through a thoughtful, clean and manageable UI.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Publishing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2016

**What do you like best about Orbis?**

- "For The Record" Headline Search
- Dashboard/User Management

**What do you dislike about Orbis?**

I can export brand lists, but not agency lists?

**Recommendations to others considering Orbis:**

Take advantage of support, training and webinars.

**What problems is Orbis solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Supporting sales/prospecting efforts. Direct contact information for brands/agencies improves efficiency.

  ### 29. Trialed a large data set with terrible results

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jamie M. | Data Scientist, Government Administration, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2013

**What do you like best about Orbis?**

Decent accuracy for company contact details (e.g. Phone, website, address)

**What do you dislike about Orbis?**

We trialed a large data set for a particular campaign. This particular campaign required a lot of data and we used around 10 different sources. Mint was the worst performing by far. Many of the companies we were given were totally irrelevant. The details on industry were woefully inaccurate and we ended up sifting through a lot of crap to find a few hidden gems.

**Recommendations to others considering Orbis:**

If your proposition is only relevant to a particular type of company, look elsewhere for data with better information on industry.

  ### 30. Useful Product Same as others

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2013

**What do you like best about Orbis?**

I have tried most of the data providers. They all seem to offer something similar, financials, user counts, a selection of contacts

**What do you dislike about Orbis?**

The promise of perfect data is always given by the marketing material.

**Recommendations to others considering Orbis:**

Compare to other solutions. Ask for a free trail and give it a good go.

  ### 31. Searching for many sources with good export tools

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kryz O. | Global Partner PreSales and Technical Enablement , Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2012

**What do you like best about Orbis?**

Mint global enables quick and easy searching on companies or list generation.

It has a easy to use interface and a several export utilities to push the data to excel for further mining.

**What do you dislike about Orbis?**

Limited on number of columns that can be views. I believe this is so you do export all their data.

**Recommendations to others considering Orbis:**

Great product but check where your customers/prospects are located. The database is not that great to more international you get
