## About notivo
Notivo is a private notebook built for people managers. Instead of scattering observations across chat messages, generic docs, or memory, managers capture a quick note the moment something happens using simple @person and #topic tags. Notivo automatically organizes those notes into a private, per-person timeline, so context is there when it matters most: before a 1:1, during review season, or when building a promotion case. Unlike a shared team wiki or an HR performance platform, Notivo is private to the manager who writes in it. It's not surveillance and it's not a workflow tool. It's the notebook a manager already keeps in their head, made searchable and organized by who and what it's about. Managers capture from the web or WhatsApp, and can review, search, and export their notes at any time. Plus-tier plans add an AI assistant that drafts recaps and answers questions from a manager's own notes only, and a sensitive-notes vault (Black Box) that is end-to-end encrypted on-device for anything a manager wants kept even more private. Notivo is built for engineering managers, team leads, and people managers at any company size who run recurring 1:1s, write performance reviews, or need to remember what their team did over months, not just the last few weeks.

## notivo Reviews
 ### 1. Notivo Makes Performance Notes Fast, Private, and Effortless

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bethany S. | Founder, Consulting, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2026

**What do you like best about notivo?**

As a founder, I'm constantly context switching between people and projects, and performance documentation is the first thing that falls off my plate. Notivo's @person/#topic tagging fixed that- i capture a note in seconds right after a conversation instead of trying to reconstruct it weeks later at review time. The privacy model is what sold me: This isn't a shared tool the team can see into, it's genuinely mine, which means i actually use it honestly instead of writing sanitized notes for an audience.

**What do you dislike about notivo?**

Capture-from anywhere is good in theory, But the WhatsApp integration in particular felt like an extra step rather than natural one- I default back to the web app most of the time. I'd also like better support for pulling structured summaries across a whole team at once.

**What problems is notivo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's solving the i forgot what happened two months ago problem that kills fair performance reviews. For founders and small teams- and I'd guess for telecom teams dealing with incident-driven work-having a searchable, private record by person and topic means reviews are grounded in actual events, not vague impressions from the last few weeks

 ### 2. Private, Tagged Timelines That Make Review Season Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aleks K. | Managing Partner, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2026

**What do you like best about notivo?**

The private, per-person timeline is genuinely useful when review season comes around. In a mid-size telecom operation, I'm not close enough to every team to remember specifics months later-outages, escalations, who handled what-and Notivo's @person/#topic tagging means I can pull up a real record instead of relying on secondhand summaries from department heads. The privacy mode is the right call for anything compliance-or personnel-sensitive; I wouldn't want this living in a shared wiki

**What do you dislike about notivo?**

Honestly, the tool feels designed for managers running weekly 1:1s, not for a CEO overseeing multiple layers of management. I don't have the bandwidth to capture notes in the moment the way it seams to expect, so my usage ends up bursty and inconsistent - heavy right before reviews, silent the rest of the quarter-which undercuts the whole point of building a running record. At my company size, I'm also relying on department heads to feed me context, and Notivo doesn't really support that layered structure; it's built for one manager's private notes, not aggregated insights across a management chain. The AI recap feature is too sparse for it to be genuinely useful

**What problems is notivo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's reducing recency bias in performance reviews-I'm no longer basing evaluations mostly on the last few weeks before the review cycle. But at this company size, the tool's real value is capped by how consistently I (or my leadership team) actually use it day to day, and right now that's the weak link, not the product itself

 ### 3. A simple way to keep management context organized

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Francesco T. | CEO, Online Media, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2026

**What do you like best about notivo?**

I like how quickly I can capture a note and connect it to a person or topic. Having that information in a private, searchable place is much more useful than keeping everything in scattered documents or messages.

**What do you dislike about notivo?**

I'd like more flexibility around organizing and searching notes as the amount of information grows.

**What problems is notivo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me keep track of important context that I might otherwise forget. I can record something when it happens and come back to it later when I need to prepare for a conversation.

 ### 4. Simple and useful management notes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leonardo P. | Founder, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2026

**What do you like best about notivo?**

I like how easy it is to capture quick notes and organize them by person and topic. It helps me keep useful context in one private place instead of relying on memory or scattered documents.

**What do you dislike about notivo?**

I'd like more flexibility around organizing larger amounts of notes and some additional AI capabilities as the product develops.

**What problems is notivo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me remember important details from conversations and interactions with my team. I can look back at previous notes instead of trying to remember everything myself.

 ### 5. Quick Note Capture with Organized Context in One Private Place

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ottavio B. | Sales Director, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2026

**What do you like best about notivo?**

I like how easy it is to capture a quick note and connect it to a person or topic. Having everything organized in one private place makes it easier to find context later.

**What do you dislike about notivo?**

I'd like to see more flexibility around organizing and searching notes as the amount of information grows.

**What problems is notivo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me avoid relying on memory for important conversations and observations. I can keep notes about my team and refer back to them when I need the context.
