A great tool for creating a collaborative space for my team. The UI is clear and cohesive, you can easily distinguish who is the author of the note thanks to profile pictures. You can upload and embed a lot of files since the storage is virtually endless. There are quite a lot of options to change the font and its size compared to other note-taking apps. **What do you dislike about Notejoy?** The text editing options are fairly limited compared to other software (For instance Nimbus Note), The UI could use a bit of an improvement - looks outdated when compared again to other apps. And sometimes it can be hard to find a specific file. They also don't support colourful emojis in libraries/notebooks/note's names - which I tend to use a lot. **What problems is Notejoy solving and how is that benefiting you?** I've been using Notejoy mainly for real-time project collaboration and for its virtually unlimited storage (I'm on a plan which gives me 10GB of storage per library and can create an unlimited number of these). ### 6. It quickly syncs across across multiple devices (Mac, Windows, mobile, web), is easily searched, and offers very innovative collaboration tools. It isn't bloated with too many options but includes everything I need. I'm especially appreciative of the security features (especially encryption and 2FA), the ease of sharing and collaboration, the desktop app, and the ability to create libraries with notebooks in which to group my notes. In short, it's easy and doesn't get in the way with my routine (and it's not cluttered up with different fonts and a mess of typefaces). Oh, and it has dark mode too! **What do you dislike about Notejoy?** I can't think of anything to dislike at the moment. It just works and works well. I've tested Evernote, Microsoft OneNote, Simplenote, Wunderlist (now Microsoft To Do), Nimbus Note, and iOS Notes - they're all good but the only notes app I regularly use is Notejoy with iOS Notes coming in at second place largely due to shared notes with other non-Notejoy users. **Recommendations to others considering Notejoy:** It's simple, affordable, secure, and very easy to use. Well worth trying. You just might find it's like having a "second brain" to supplement your memory. **What problems is Notejoy solving and how is that benefiting you?** For work things, I find Notejoy especially helpful for keeping track of random data, changelogs, conference and study notes, call notes, and technical tips. For personal usage, it's great for recipes, gardening, videos, vehicle maintenance records, gift lists, and so much more (useful especially for family collaboration and sharing of household information). It can do audio notes, store document scans from a phone, and clip web pages but I’m not taking advantage of those things at the moment. ### 7. So I'm guilty of opening up WordPad and logging all of my thoughts following a phone call or an e-mail update and even though it is a practice I do to this day, I have a nice catch-all that I can dump all of these tiered notes in with each other and never really lose my thought process behind weird filenames or unexplained shorthand. **What do you dislike about Notejoy?** Read Edit below! 100% my only nitpick and I think I've messaged the devs but it's just unfeasible. I'd like to collapse the sidebars. The navigation process in NoteJoy has a universal sidebar, which then leads into a second sidebar depending on which library you are navigating. When I'm working exhaustively in one library, I wish that I could collapse the master sidebar, but as of right now all I can do is reduce it's margins, but it still takes up maybe two inches of real estate on my screen. This isn't a huge problem, but with the natural predilection to look top left when crossing thoughts, you run into the issue of catching copy that might distract you from a different folder! Edit: I wanted to leave in my initial nitpick because I think it is the only thing that I can feasibly complain about NoteJoy, but the 'V' Hotkey completely fixes this issue! 'Focus Mode' just center justifies and removes everything around it. **Recommendations to others considering Notejoy:** You can do everything in NoteJoy that you can do in Google Docs or Microsoft Word. But You can't quite do the same in Google Docs or Microsoft. I would say this is a sleek, relatively-low distraction interface for drafting copy and it is also unbeaten in terms of being able to easily organize your existing notes and documents. The browser version connects with Grammarly so you don't need to worry about that, but they do have limited export possibilities. You can still save to PDF but you will have to jump through hoops for a docx conversion. I've integrated it on every device I own. But that being said, it is a third party app and some people will have their reservations. **What problems is Notejoy solving and how is that benefiting you?** Oh wow, what problems am I not solving with NoteJoy? It's one of those platforms where the only limits is your imagination! So I work in Marketing. All of my clients copy is stored in NoteJoy and I can delegate users by individual libraries so there is virtually no risk of having my clients interact with each other. Not only do I store copy, but our phone call notes are logged in NoteJoy as well. I keep my training materials and shorthand notes for various side projects there. Since I can easily access Notejoy from multiple devices, I can start notes, drafts, scripts on one computer and be able to easily access if from another computer, which is a given these days, but the fact that they have standalone apps is fantastic because I have difficulties using browsers sometimes when I'm trying to be creative. Finally, lists and link catalogues. I know I have a tendency of keeping bookmarks of materials that I want to revisit when I'm browsing the interent, but I started keeping the links in NoteJoy with a short summary of why I want to watch them and that helps me remember why I bookmarked it in the first place. Additionally, if I'm trying to hide shopping lists or date spots I've found from my wife, this is usually nestled into my private notes! ### 14. One of the most important benefits I get from using Notejoy is that I link it to other software to organize my projects, achieving excellent results. The most outstanding feature of Notejoy is that I can establish feedback with my office colleagues, adding to the documents we make their impressions, observations and suggestions, in order to obtain the most complete written product. You can edit documents from your desktop computer or from your Android device, enjoying in both cases the same privileges of simultaneous editing of documents. The application itself is great for text notes with other teammates. You can create libraries for all your different teams within the business and create libraries giving every member the opportunity to come in and modify the note. It plays well with Google Drive. This app is great for those businesses that do a lot of note-taking typing and don't require drawings or creative collaboration of that type. **What do you dislike about Notejoy?** I dislike that the attachments are displayed as thumbnails. It is horrible for editing those documents because you have to leave the platform to edit even a cloud file from Google Drive. I also dislike that there is no pen support yet or a way to import everything from Evernote or One Note making it super hard to transition from another platform. I also dislike their mobile app. It's hard to use and its buggy (but it is improving) **Recommendations to others considering Notejoy:** Take a look at the types of notes that you take on a daily basis and what kind of workflows you want to create before jumping to NoteJoy. The team and the app are both amazing but I feel that it's a bit to early to recommend. **What problems is Notejoy solving and how is that benefiting you?** The only business problem I've been able to solve with NoteJoy as of now is creating a digital library for templates and websites. My plan is to eventually move everything from Evernote into NoteJoy. ### 23. Team members can collaborate and get a visual cue as to what is happening on the note live. I love the live editing, and members of your team can collaborate even on telecommute. People can easily get involved and discuss ideas and data at the speed of discussion. I like that you can also add comments on sections, so you keep the separation of comments, ideas, and data all in one place without leaving the window. Notes can be pinned, so it would be easy for your invited team members see your priority agenda. It does not only serve as note-taking, it also acts as a live collaboration tool for any organization or team. **What do you dislike about Notejoy?** I have no beef or anything bad to say against Notejoy, maybe a word of improvement. They could make use of non-browser based tool. So people can still use even offline. As a whole, it is one of the best note management tool I have used. **Recommendations to others considering Notejoy:** If you are considering a better way to communicate and convey ideas of your team, then I would recommend people to use Notejoy for their next company or team meeting and huddle. It is highly efficient, fast and easy to use. **What problems is Notejoy solving and how is that benefiting you?** Team collaboration that needs efficiently communicating ideas live is one thing that Notejoy solved for us. The keyword there is live. Because if you want an efficient way of communicating, it should be fast enough that ideas get conveyed without being left behind. The collaborative functionality of it is what is really wonderful. We can keep documentation for processes in one place and see when it's updated and by whom. The metrics provided are really a neat touch. Mobile use is much easier than some of the same players in the space. It's also very quick and easy to use in a hurry, unlike another service we used that always seemed laggy and resulted in people just staring at something load during a meeting and breaking the rhythm. Compared to what we were using, it's much more structured and organized. We've moved all our notes and documents over from other platforms to Notejoy. **What do you dislike about Notejoy?** Notejoy is great and I don't really have any cons to list. With many collaborative tools like this, the hardest part is getting everyone on your team to stick to it and not fall back into old habits. It's not something I need, but I could see some employees needing constant reminders to use/update/reference the notes. **Recommendations to others considering Notejoy:** Just make sure you stay on top of those team members that are a little harder to get to embrace the new stuff in the office. **What problems is Notejoy solving and how is that benefiting you?** When we're all throwing in on a note or document while in our own workspace at our own pace, it makes getting larger projects complete a much less stressful event. ### 27. Team members have been using Google drive as our central data management tools for all sorts of documents, and it is a great thing that Notejoy has that function so we can sync it easily. It also has a library and notebook feature so we can share our notes with team members who need a peek at our notes and share insights. I also like the user dashboard, simple and easy to learn. The look and feel is like straight from another popular software we use, so it is not that hard to learn. **What do you dislike about Notejoy?** I probably think that it needs to have a mobile app version which people can use. Right now, I think they are only browser based note taking app, which makes it quite difficult if people have not access to internet as of the moment. So it will be nifty if there's an app for it, and sync later. **Recommendations to others considering Notejoy:** Though I like the software a lot, as of the moment, I could not recommend them to people who are not keen to use their browsers as note-taking software. But if they want team collaborating note-taking software, then yes. I highly recommend them. Overall, a good tool and is still developing. Highly recommended. **What problems is Notejoy solving and how is that benefiting you?** Note taking is one problem it solved, and team collaboration is another. COllaborating your notes with other people is very important for us to use such insights for a better problem-solving and solution management. ### 28.
