We have used Nightfall for Github for nearly a year now and it has been a fantastic tool in detecting secrets in Github repos. It also has the ability to scan pre-historic repos so that very single repo is scanned and any exposed secrets are detected. Great tool all in all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I wish Nightfall would provide ability to adjust the confidence rules so that customers can adjust the confidence rules to avoid many false positives. I believe its work in progress but would be great to have. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Nightfall scans my cloud environment, finding sensitive and restricted data based on the criteria that I have it looking for. It finds violations quickly, giving me an opportunity to validate and follow up with corrective action. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Fairly straightforward to integrate with the Nightfall API and I was doing so in order to use the redacting text functionality. In addition it is handy to be able to adjust some of the redacting logic in terms of confidence levels and exclusions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Nightfall works extremely well for secret detection with common or custom secret values, such as AWS keys or API keys. The integrations of Nightfall allow easy and quick setup with existing systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Firstly,

Onboarding was swift, straightforward and easy.

The support team is available through the support option on the platform and other means like slack and email.

Testing and optimization to your needs is also assisted and guided with the Nightfall team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

When handling massive amounts of findings and data, the platform gets laggy and tends to break(over 6000 findings).

Also, if you want to set up an alerts channel on slack, it's PER integration and not one channel for all your alerts.

The implementation for Gmail, GitHub and Slack were extremely easy and Nightfall is very effective in detecting potential issues. The Slack implementation enables incidents to be responded without needing to go in to the dashboard. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's hard to build, and maintain, compliance with sensitive data. Nightfall makes it simple to check data for leaks in an automated way, increasing our security without increasing the team's overhead. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
