What do you like best about Neo Software?

Very easy to use, very easy to learn, staff love it. Flexible, allows for user defined fields. Regular updates with additional functionality, not just corrections. The support staff is world class! Friendly, knowledgeable and always available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Neo Software?

Reporting was more limited, but now is expanding. At first we had to have 3rd party Boarding solution, but now that is built in. At first we paid for SMS messages, but now that is built in. I don't really have anything I dislike about it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Neo Software:

Get a demo, then get access to a trial, see how easy it is to set up. See how easy it is to learn how to do anything by accessing the "Help Me" tab in the bottom right corner. You'll be sold like we were. Ask other vendors what features they have added to their software for no addition fee over the past two years. I doubt you'll find many. Neo has added good reporting, good A/R tracking, GREAT boarding and are currently working on integrated SMS. They also listen to users about feature function. What problems is Neo Software solving and how is that benefiting you?

Quick checkout for clients. Easy access to records and information, vitals and Rx's for medical team staff. We are more efficient than before, we process patients through the hospital more quickly. The auto interface of x-rays and lab results saves time and helps us avoid missed charges. Text messaging allows us to be proactive in messaging clients as well as following up on missed services that are needed by their pets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Neo Software?

How easy it is to teach a new hire to use it. If they can fill out a form to shop online they can be taught to use the software its literally that easy for onboarding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Neo Software?

The back end of things with book keeping and reminders and inventory has a lot of bugs and we have lost a lot of product tracking, reminder options, and ease of access when switching to Neo from our previous provider. There is also a bit of a communication gap when they go to do a new update. Changes are made with out consulting with clinics or pre-warning clinics of upcoming changes that may change how you have to change the flow of things within the clinic which results in a surprise that morning once the update has taken place. Recommendations to others considering Neo Software:

Take your time with the transferring of information, ask plenty of questions to know what features you will gain or lose from the conversion because once the conversion is complete then trying to back track to fix what you weren't expecting to change is a huge challenge. The growing pains take a little getting used to but the transition is definitely worth the effort. The speed you gain in the flow through out the clinic is wonderful and the time you save in training during onboarding is unmatched by any other software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Neo is wonderful to be paperless and allows a smooth flow between check in and examination and examination to check out. We have lots of little requests placed with neo for things to run smoother in our clinic but Neo is good to hear our concerns and find loop holes or implement changes to improve those issues. "Outstanding Veterinary Practice Management Software"

What do you like best about Neo Software?

Ease of training, low cost to function ratio, outstanding customer service, and frequent improvements that are made based on user input. Another factor is ease of use. The software is designed so that one records are plainly available and editable. No more going to multiple screens to input data as with some other PMS programs. What do you dislike about Neo Software?

Inventory management. The software tracks amounts but lacks the ability to track by lot number or to alert manager if medication lot is near expiration. I am however, confident that this is being addressed by the development team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Neo Software solving and how is that benefiting you?

We reach out to support about once every two weeks on a unique issue. Sometimes those issues are not related directly to Neo but the interaction between Neo and other software. The support team is always patient and professional and will work with us to address the issue. We also worked closely with the development team in integrating a portal with Antech for Laboratory results which has been a huge benefit to our practice and clients. There have been many benefits from using Neo in our practice. The biggest is being able to very quickly serve clients from anywhere from a mobile device. My practice is house call based and the ability to have instant access to records has been invaluable to us. Another outstanding enhancement for us has been Scheduling. Neo is definitely moving in the right direction in regards to system improvements. There may be a few things missing but in my opinion they are worth not having for the other benefits of Neo. "This platform did not work for our clinic"

What do you like best about Neo Software?

We are no longer using this platform. I do not remember any features that I liked about it unfortunately. We switched to it shortly after it came out because it was a cloud based system, however that ended up being the only feature that worked in our favor. It was a very basic platform and may work well for smaller clinics, but did not work for ours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Neo Software?

We did not like anything about this program. When we used it, it was not able to do the majority of the things we needed it to. The platform was very new and was way too basic for our progressive clinic. Previously we had Avimark for 10+ years. That program was great, but was not cloud based at the time. We tried Neo for ~6 months. IT was a drastic step backwards for us so we then switched to another program that we still use today. Neo may have updated many of its features by now. What do you like best about Neo Software?

The IDEXX software is very to learn how to use it initially and it is easy to use on an ongoing basis. I like that all data is stored online in the cloud so there is cost savings not having to use information technology outsourcing as much. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Neo Software?

When adding third party data and applications to the system, it can be cumbersome at times, for example integrating new templates or forms from MS Word. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I would highly recommend this solution based on the ease of use and ease of installation and implementation. Extremely intuitive design. Love the cloud based system to save critical client data.
