## About Names & Faces
Names & Faces is a visual indexing platform. It's used by organizations big and small to turn their HR data into a fast, intuitive index of their people that solves a problem experienced by everyone from the CEO to the new joiner: that's who's who, what they do, and how to get in touch.

## Names & Faces Reviews
 ### 1. Incredible org chart with seamless integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shushannah A. | Director of People Operations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Names & Faces?**

We use Paylocity as our HRIS, and the functionally is... lacking. Names and Faces solves every need we have to create a beautiful and useful org chart with contact information.

We sync with our Paylocity data, which is actually really complicated because we have employees in another country who aren't in the system the same way. We are able to override employees where we need to (usually to show changes in manager to a foreign employee), and filter out board members who are in our system.

The team at Names & Faces has truly been so effective and responsive even we've needed assistance.

The pricing is super competitive. I would recommend this software to anyone.

**What do you dislike about Names & Faces?**

Since they did a revamp over a year ago I can't think of anything I would want to improve. Before that there were suggestions, and they fixed every single thing I could think of that needed it. Their product is now truly ideal.

**What problems is Names & Faces solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We couldn't use the org chart that came with our HRIS because it was unwieldy and had a terrible user experience. This gives our employees an easy visual representation, searchable database, and user-friendly experience.

 ### 2. User friendly and appealing!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ellie C. | Accounting Intern, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Names & Faces?**

It is super easy to use. I love being able to put a face to the name, especially working for a large company. I mainly use Names & Faces for employee locations.

**What do you dislike about Names & Faces?**

The organization chart can be a bit confusing. I understand I work for a big company but it can be a hot mess sometimes. I can't seem to find someone's manager without having to go all the way up and trying to follow a line all the way back down.

**Recommendations to others considering Names & Faces:**

Do it! It is easy and fun to use!

**What problems is Names & Faces solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is very easy to look up someone's name and find their location. I need this the most for my job and it is very helpful. I can easily tell if someone is from our Virginia plant or they are remote.

 ### 3. Must Have for Any Organization!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leslie Q. | Vice President, Global Human Resources, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Names & Faces?**

This is a crisp, clear, easy one-stop-shop for employee photo, contact information and organizational information. Very helpful for new employees to learn who their co workers are; helpful to senior leaders to better know their employees, and cultivates a greater sense of employee engagement. Use daily so that you can recognize a work anniversary or wish a happy birthday.

This is also the best solution to quickly find an employee's work cell (or other contact info like desk number or email) and from there easily shoot them a text message or call directly from Names & Faces.

Not sure where someone falls in the organization? The org chart features comes with Names & Faces (and you don't have to pay for that!) Easily see who an employee reports to or find a manager and see their direct reports.

Lastly, the service and attention from the N&F team are impressive. This is a great (modest) investment and I highly recommend.

**What do you dislike about Names & Faces?**

The solution is awesome... the only drawback is encouraging your managers and employees to download (yet another) app and convincing them it's worth it. (which it is).

**Recommendations to others considering Names & Faces:**

Speak to other admin users of Names and Faces to get their user experience.

**What problems is Names & Faces solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are seeing greater employee engagement, better manager/employee connectivity.

 ### 4. Helpful tool for employees

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Renewables & Environment | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2022

**What do you like best about Names & Faces?**

I like the organization, the weekly reminders of what has changed along with items like birthday and anniversary reminders.

**What do you dislike about Names & Faces?**

This is not as customizable as I would like. I would like a teams integration if possible.

**What problems is Names & Faces solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding out details on employees quickly.

 ### 5. A product I miss the most - simple, yet powerful tool for a large company!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2020

**What do you like best about Names & Faces?**

I love how simple and easy it is to find my colleagues. We have about 300-400 employees at our company, so it is impossible for me to find who and what their job title is. Names and Faces have helped so much to find who I need to reach out to without being creepy on LinkedIn. I love the simple interface and fast search bar. It also helps me to approach my co-workers better in person after interacting with them only through Slack or emails because Names and Faces include pictures. It also allows you to search by department, names, titles, etc.

**What do you dislike about Names & Faces?**

I am not sure if Names and Faces include an organizational chart, but ours did not have an organizational chart interface. It would have been great if it also showed organizational chart, rather than listing individually. This way, I can easily identify who the manager or directors are and I can easily see which teams the person is and who they report to.

**What problems is Names & Faces solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting to know our colleagues.

 ### 6. It's fine, but lacking key info

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2020

**What do you like best about Names & Faces?**

that it acts as a look-book if I have a meeting with someone I haven't met yet

**What do you dislike about Names & Faces?**

- incomplete office location data. ya'll include the office number, but not the agency map of the offices aren't included anymore. Sure, Ashley's office is #215, but I have no idea where to start looking on the second floor. I end up texting an account manger.
- should include full title for improved searchability and understanding of that person's role/function at the agency.
- should include client scope - i.e. which clients they work on in the building. Sometimes my boss says "go find somebody who works on Comcast" and it becomes a whole runaround to get in touch with the right person, at the right level, on the right account.

**What problems is Names & Faces solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's a look-book that provides a cell phone number, so I know what the person looks like and how to reach them if email isn't working.

 ### 7. Excellent people finder app - lifesaver for work!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lauren A. | Senior Research and Analytics Strategist , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2020

**What do you like best about Names & Faces?**

It's really helpful when I quickly need to locate someone, contact them, or see who exactly they are. Invaluable when you are getting onto a new team or if you work in an org with a lot of people who's names you should know.

**What do you dislike about Names & Faces?**

nothing. it's great! Up to the internal team to be up on keeping all the info fresh--then it works great.

**What problems is Names & Faces solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solving the problem of going into a meeting and not knowing who is who. Also, I can locate anyone or contact anyone in just seconds. It's a life saver for any work environment!

 ### 8. A brilliantly simple yet indispensable tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emily H. | Head of Strategy, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 06, 2019

**What do you like best about Names & Faces?**

Names & Faces quite simply makes me better at my job. It helps me connect quickly with people and build relationships more effectively. It is super simple to use - intuitive and fast. I really like that it doesn't try to do too much - it simply does the job I need it to, really well. It has become the go-to tool in my organisation that helps us all link up and recognise each other - quickly. This is good for our business, and our culture. I highly recommend it.

**What do you dislike about Names & Faces?**

This isn't a dislike - it's just a fact. It is one of those tools that you might not realise you need, but then once you have it you don't know what you'd ever do without it.

**Recommendations to others considering Names & Faces:**

Get it! Once you have, you won't know how your organisation worked without it...

**What problems is Names & Faces solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It connects people and therefore it builds a healthier culture to work in. I can quickly recognise new people and make them feel welcome. Ultimately it is a relationship-building tool. It shortcuts the path to new relationships and those relationships can bring untold benefits.
An unexpected benefit is that it helps me combat my own natural biases towards people I know over those I don't; as a leader of a department it helps me make more diverse decisions about the people I pull into projects.

 ### 9. Does what it says it's going to do

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2020

**What do you like best about Names & Faces?**

It's a very easy tool to use to see your colleagues, understand relevant information about them, identify their manager, etc. Works on mobile as well - typically where I use it.

**What do you dislike about Names & Faces?**

It's only as good as the data inside. If it's not being updated, then I find myself not using it as much. We have some colleagues still listed that I know have left our company, so you start doubting the data.

**Recommendations to others considering Names & Faces:**

Make sure you keep the data updated.

**What problems is Names & Faces solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Identifying colleagues, where they are based, and who their teammates and managers are.

 ### 10. Why isn't everything this simple?

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lauren S. | Head of Marketing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 02, 2019

**What do you like best about Names & Faces?**

The utterly clear layout and groupings of people mean you can find "that guy from that meeting" in seconds. I started as a new exec and had to learn a lot of new people fast. I went straight onto Names & Faces after every meeting in my first couple of months to remind myself of who's been there and where they fitted in - and still use it every time I have a corridor greeting with someone I can't quite place.

**What do you dislike about Names & Faces?**

I'd like us to be using it for even more detailed project team groupings, but that rests on our side.

**What problems is Names & Faces solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps my team feel more connected across the business - especially new starters who would otherwise take longer to know who to go to for what.

 ### 11. Useful, especially when our only alternative was a rarely updated, rarely known about pdf document.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2019

**What do you like best about Names & Faces?**

Names & Faces has really been our first org chart tool. We technically have an org chart buried in two different places: one in deep within our google drive, and another within a much larger HR tool. Neither provided reliable info as they were rarely updated, and neither provided contact info. Most of my likes are that we just have a solution for a need that's simple and not complicated.

**What do you dislike about Names & Faces?**

Most of my work is done at a desk, so I'm not a fan of having to use a mobile app. The web version is really straightforward, but I dislike the login process and needing to refer to my email every time I try to log in. Additionally, I wish I could edit my own information without needing to go to HR first. I'm not the biggest fan of our entire Sales team having access to my phone number when we have internal chat and messaging tools. I also wish it was possible to share my preferred contact method to prevent some unneccessary, often unanswered calls. I'm guessing these might be system-wide preferences set by the team members who manage our account though.

**What problems is Names & Faces solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed an org chart tool to keep track of a quickly growing team. Names & Faces is a simple, easy to use solution to that need.

 ### 12. Very helpful

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fabio S. | Art Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2020

**What do you like best about Names & Faces?**

The worst part is that you have to log in every time.

**What do you dislike about Names & Faces?**

To log in every time I want to use that.
Pictures sometimes are not updated.

**Recommendations to others considering Names & Faces:**

Names and faces is super easy to use, very helpful and can avoid you from awkward mistakes in a company.

**What problems is Names & Faces solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The agency is huge. Names & Faces really helps me to figure out the people I work with in a project, for example.

 ### 13. Simple, beautiful and it works!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Sports | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 10, 2019

**What do you like best about Names & Faces?**

It's so fast and so simple and solves a problem that everyone has.

**What do you dislike about Names & Faces?**

I'd like the data to be better populated as it can be gappy at times.

**Recommendations to others considering Names & Faces:**

Great if you want simple, beautiful, functional tool people will use. Also really easy to manage for yourself.

**What problems is Names & Faces solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me know who's who in my team - and as I am in a leadership role that's critical. It helps me find people by searching through faces as well which is useful when someone speaks to me or I've been in a meeting and I don't know who all the people are. Afterwards I can say 'Oh hey John'. Sort of cheating but who cares!
It's also useful to have everyones details on me all the time. We use so many systems it's good to have everything in one simple place.

 ### 14. Company branding at the forefront

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2019

**What do you like best about Names & Faces?**

Everything about this product is company-specific branding focused. I only use it on occasion to check on new and existing hires (so just on the website, not the mobile app. But my coworkers can quickly pull up others' entries on their apps without much trouble), and I wasn't involved in the purchasing or customizing of the product. However, what is very clear is that this product reflects my company's branding, from logo to color to stylized font. This product is a good internal replacement for our team directory -- we used to feature every single employee on our website's Team page, but with the company growing so quickly, that didn't seem sustainable.

**What do you dislike about Names & Faces?**

I wish employees themselves could update their profiles. Everyone's profiles looks and reads exactly the same. We're able to come up with our own "fun fact"/bio/blurb, but there's no customization available through the website a la Wordpress or HubSpot. But the product does its job; presents a quick run down of our headshot, our role, our contact info, birthday, and hired/start date. So it's streamlined and minimal, at the least.

**Recommendations to others considering Names & Faces:**

No matter what size your company is, if you want an easy-to-access internal directory, go for Names & Faces. I have zero visibility into the cost and process that went into this product (I'm not sure whether we had free reign to customize or if there were any parameters), but as an occasional stalker of company personnel, this product comes in very handy.

**What problems is Names & Faces solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Company directory. Like I mentioned before, we no longer have a public facing Team page (which is a bummer) but our company is so big now that it's not possible to keep face-to-face track of all employees. Names & Faces solves that problem. Overall, this app isn't a NEED to have, but it is very nice to have indeed.

 ### 15. a Lifesaver

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 02, 2019

**What do you like best about Names & Faces?**

the quick easy access of being able to pull up and get details of any staff member whilst on the go! to be able to message / call someone off the platform and not have to scramble for a number you don't have etc. Its been hugely beneficial in (TWICE) returning from maternity leave to w hole lot of new faces, and being bale to (in my own time) "stalk" and get to KNOW who is who and where they fit in. a Lifesaver!

**What do you dislike about Names & Faces?**

that you cant whatsapp directly off the platform :-)

**What problems is Names & Faces solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not needing to scramble for numbers you don't have or not knowing how to very quickly get hold of someone to have a quick chat / convo. it saves time.

 ### 16. Takes the awkwardness out of work

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Max P. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2020

**What do you like best about Names & Faces?**

1. Saves me from awkwardly asking who is who
2. Allows me to contact them in a super seamless way

**What do you dislike about Names & Faces?**

Honestly not a lot.
On-platform groups could be ideal.

**What problems is Names & Faces solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Takes the friction out of communicating with colleagues

 ### 17. Easy to use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2020

**What do you like best about Names & Faces?**

Names & Faces is easy to use. Helps us with our front-facing employee directory.

**What do you dislike about Names & Faces?**

I got annoyed with all the magic-email links it sends to verify the user's identity.

**What problems is Names & Faces solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Front-facing employee directory.

 ### 18. Easy to Use Directory

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Events Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2019

**What do you like best about Names & Faces?**

Names & Faces is an organized way for me to be able to look up different coworkers. I enjoy all the different filters such as By Location, By Department, etc. My favorite feature would be the Recently Joined portion of names & faces.

**What do you dislike about Names & Faces?**

Not much I can dislike about this tool. One minor thing I dislike is that sometimes I'll click on a co-worker's picture, and once I am taken to their profile, their photo will not load.

**What problems is Names & Faces solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping us get to know a little bit about all of our colleagues as well as be able to identify them in the passing.

 ### 19. Immediately useful, flexible, and great customer service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 04, 2019

**What do you like best about Names & Faces?**

Having an easy to use and access, aesthetically pleasing, and accurate company directory has always seemed just out of reach. Names & Faces help us solve this problem, and in the process also were able to work with us to provide an excellent solution for emergency situations where we can message (through the app, email, and text) all (or any subset) of our employees immediately through a feature called Safety Check. Throughout our experience, the team has been super responsive in making changes and making sure this product worked for us as well. Great stuff all around.

**What do you dislike about Names & Faces?**

Nothing? Always looking forward to expanded feature sets, but nothing at the moment would prevent us from wholeheartedly recommending this

**What problems is Names & Faces solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy and quick directory, employee photos, and reaching employees in an emergency quickly.

 ### 20. Very easy to navigate and search

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

 ### 21. Great for the workspace

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2019

**What do you like best about Names & Faces?**

Like the title suggests, this app/website is great for putting a name to a face in the workplace. You can filter people by location, teams, and more. It also tracks people birthday, start date, and a fun bio.

**What do you dislike about Names & Faces?**

It would be useful in the user side if we could change the layout of the landing page. Currently, it's a large grid of photos which looks nice, but it's hard to read peoples names and positions. If you could switch to a more compact detailed view with a smaller image, and the name and title to the side would be great.

**Recommendations to others considering Names & Faces:**

Give it a try. It will save you from the embarrassment of not remembering someone's name.

**What problems is Names & Faces solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Names and faces solve the problem of not knowing a coworker that you walk passed everyday.

 ### 22. Save face at a growing company

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2019

**What do you like best about Names & Faces?**

The ability to organize by office location/team. Helps you figure out who someone is by their photo without knowing their name. We have grown so rapidly this year, Names & Faces is great for when you start to outgrow the "startup" environment.

**What do you dislike about Names & Faces?**

I find the login process to be annoying. Each time it sends a link to your email. I feel like its going a little overboard with information that isn't too sensitive. Not great for when you need to search quickly.

**What problems is Names & Faces solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When I get a meeting invite, I can check Names & Faces to be sure I know who's who, searching by name. Eliminates any awkward confusion of introducing yourself to someone who you've already met!

It's great to make sure you know who you're meeting with and becoming familiar with new hires

**What problems is Names & Faces solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it helps with onboarding and creating a welcoming environment for new hires or visiting remote workers.

 ### 25. Helpful, but what's the purpose

I mean beyond the name what's it's the purpose?

**Recommendations to others considering Names & Faces:**

Find a product that does more, maybe something that integrates the names & faces part with where everyone sits?

The design is simple and intuitive. Very easy to use. The ability to browse through teams and pictures makes recognizing people across our large company easy.

I wish there were different viewing options for the teams. The ability to toggle between an org chart, a list, etc. would be nice.

**Recommendations to others considering Names & Faces:**

Make sure the correct information is uploaded at the onset, and keep it up-to-date.

**What problems is Names & Faces solving and how is that benefiting you?**
