Performance review is very customizable, the layout works for global and multi-office locations, file feeds compatible with key vendors, good compliance resources.

**What do you dislike about Namely?**

Case system communication is very specific about what can be escalated; sometimes, what is my priority does not match their definition of urgent. It gets requested to be pushed to non-urgent and down the queue.

The ease of use for HR and employees using the tool. Lot's of features, but not too much.

Off-boarding redundancy and would like more streamlined insights into benefits. However, I know we would have this if we used the payroll feature.

All ee issues. So much easier to streamline administration and keep things in one place. Love the compliance feature linked to Mineral now.

**What do you like best about Namely?**

It allows you to get an excellent overview of your employees and the most relevant data is always at the tip of your hands. It enables you to get fascinating data and insight into improvements and adjustments that fit your employee's needs better!

**What do you dislike about Namely?**

Sometimes it's hard to export some of the information in a way that is clean and uncorrupted. They should also explore new features to improve the overall UX/UI.

**Recommendations to others considering Namely:**

At the moment, I would just say to improve the data treatment section

Employee data management and overall tracking of important documents and expediting tedious but important tasks.

**What do you like best about Namely?**

The versatile software allows all aspects of HR to be at the link of your finger, including timesheets, Benefit reviews, community information, training seminars, and more! Overall my favorite function of the software is the community wall where employee birthdays, promotions, and yearly triumphs can be found!

**What do you dislike about Namely?**

The Namely mobile application can be challenging to navigate at first, including the simple task of recording one's weekly hours. With a quick message to the support team, Namely quickly can get users on the right track!

**What problems is Namely solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can keep track of my weekly hours and the benefits package I have chosen, which makes me feel in control and not needing to bug my HR personal for information. Benefits I have realized are the resources and support Namely staff offers when in need or looking for assistance when navigating the software!

I find the interface to generally be very easy to use and graphically pleasing. In general, everything is pretty straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Namely?**

The way my company has it set up, and had given very little direction and instruction-I did have a difficult time during onboarding navigating everything needed to start.

**What problems is Namely solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Namely to request time off, there is very little active time I am using or utilizing Namely.

I love that Namely provides me a one-stop-shop for clocking into work, requesting time off, reviewing tax documents, or even keeping tabs with when my coworkers' birthdays are.

**What do you dislike about Namely?**

Not much to dislike. I sometimes have trouble accessing my W-2 when tax season rolls around but that is more of an organizational gripe with the website rather than a functionality one.

Solving issues of keeping all of my necessary work functions in one place. I like being able to click into the Namely website bookmark to handle any work-related personal situations.

I appreciate that all paystubs, employee reviews, and company org chart and resources live within one location.

**What do you dislike about Namely?**

Identifying where items live is not always intuitive. I've on more than one occasion had to find something buried under a Resources folder instead of in the area of the app where I'd expect it.

**What problems is Namely solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Namely is our companies primary HR tool. Every employee has access and it is where you can access and change benefits, download tax documents, fill out employee reviews, and access company-wide resources.

  ### 12. Great Platform for HR and non HR Staff- has some customization and state tax setbacks

**What do you like best about Namely?**

This platform is user friendly for non-HR staff, and helpful throughout the payroll process. There is a large variety of reports as well. Namely allows easy access to employee information, which can easily be updated by the employee as well as administrative users. The feature notifying users of birthdays and work anniversaries is also a nice touch! I personally like seeing the new employee list too, for external platform task reminders. The platform is easy to navigate, which is a time saver when bringing on new staff- especially when they're a part of HR.

**What do you dislike about Namely?**

The customized reports are limited and not done correctly after many attempts with Namely reps. The PPP reports also did not work at all, and we have constant issues with state unemployment/taxes, etc.. Namely does not file correctly or sometimes not at all. Although a wide varitey of reports are available to access, some do not work or are very limited. We customized our GL report when joining Namely in 2015, then when a system change was done the report was totally messed up and they have yet to fix it.. even after step by step meetings with their tech reps. This is super disappointing when you have to spend additional time formatting after pulling reports.. we also paid for custom reporting, which is frustrating as well.

**Recommendations to others considering Namely:**

Namely is helpful in many ways, but if you're looking for a platform that can provide customized reports, I would look elsewhere.

**What problems is Namely solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's nice to have access to employee census data, and a centralized platform for HR needs. Namely assists with tracking our PTO and processing payroll. I guess you could say this platform has assisted in solving issues around that, as well as providing a large variety of reports- this solves some issues around viewing data. The birthday and anniversary feature also helps boost company morale, so helpful with solving issues around building internal relationships. User are also able to easily access tax documents, which saves our team time.

  ### 13. Straight Forward HR Suite

**What do you like best about Namely?**

The best is the ease of implementation.  It is truly an out-of-the-box solution that is intuitive for all who use the software.  It does what it says it is going to do. Easy to integrate with our payroll system, ERP system, and financial systems/processes.  The efficiency gains are excellent as well.  During our annual Open Enrollment, it is all easy to access each benefit, and our HR team has very little work on the back end to do.  This is time savings and frustration savings on both sides of open enrollment.

**What do you dislike about Namely?**

Candidly, I do not have any dislikes.  I can only extrapolate a guess.  If a large company needed an HR platform, I wonder if it can handle the complexity and diverse needs of a large company.  I think to be somewhat critical; it is a bit clunky on reviews. We just completed our quarterly review cycle, and it does require specification on how you will want to perform reviews.

**Recommendations to others considering Namely:**

Use it! Do not have to overthink this.  After implementation, it is refreshing to have a software system that performs as promised during their sales cycle.

**What problems is Namely solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Problems that are solved:   Line of sight (data of the company diversity, changes over time).   Open enrollment speed/ease.  Integration into our ERP, time cards, and benefit providers.  

Benefits:   The simplicity and ease of access are literally saving time which is cost and frustration savings—cultural benefits with the feature that allows employees to "appreciate" each other. Communication as well, being able to post and email information to all employees.

Namely simply works. I have nothing bad to say about the product and use it every day for the administration of employees. It is easy to navigate and has good integrations for comp and payroll etc.

Nothing negative to say, really. I actually even find the mobile app very friendly and often find myself navigating payroll or approving PTO just from the app.

If you need mobile access, Namely is great.

Employee administration, PAYROLL, OTE, PTO, organization charts. We basically use it as the core source to track all key employee information. This hold sensitive information and it is seemingly very secure.

I have not seen a single thing in Namely that I dislike. Everything so far has been beneficial.

I enjoy being able to see the entire company using a tree chart. This software helps us keep track of employees and their active status and is KEY in finding their contact information when needed.

Interactions with the company users is a great feature.

**What do you dislike about Namely?**

Everything about the HR and Payroll setup and processing: this is literally the worst payroll software you could choose. You cannot add your own earnings, you cannot adjust any setups, you cannot import any data without Namely setting that up for you first, you cannot override, you have to process with a minimum of 4 days prior to deposit unless you want to wire them the money to do it faster.

There isn't anything I dislike with Namely. It's really easy to use.

We use it for clocking in and out, for requesting time off, for seeing out tax return information, to see birthdays and anniversaries as well as new employees that have joined the company.

An integrated software that allows you to have all of the usefull information regarding the most important asset of a company... The people! It's intuitive and easy to use .

Has some flaws when doing some functions such as converting information into Excel. It should have more filters to allow for a more in depth perception of the employees.

People management, in all aspects, from documentation, to benefits, salary and all the relevant information. It allows us to  save a lot of time and adjustable .

I don't think the site is very intuitive. It takes a while to learn how to do everything and we seem to need help from the help group everyday.

To be honest I can't really think of any problems that namely has helped us solve.....however they have helped us as we scale by being usable by any size company.

**What do you like best about Namely?**

Namely has completely changed how we do HR. Everything is easy to use and integrated with many other great applications. It makes us looks really professional, stay compliant and helps us connect with our team. The support team has been really helpful from the very first meeting to any random question I have. They are always cheerful, kind, and very knowledgeable. I have learned a lot from them.

**What do you dislike about Namely?**

The only thing (and this is really reaching) that I would like to see is Namely expand the integration side of their services more than they currently have. There are things like chatbots or AI that I would love to see integrated to be able to provide a well-rounded concierge feel to our HR offerings. Having those things integrate with Namely would be so awesome and free up my face-to-face time to help meet employee needs.

**What problems is Namely solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Namely, all of our records were on paper. To find anything, you had to dig through file folders or contact our PEO. We did have some files that were beginning to be stored digitally but not all. When we made the switch to Namely, we dropped the PEO and were able to have more control over and access to our data. The team at Namely has been such a good resource for us. Backstage has helped to answer questions as well as my pod.

It lacked a lot of functionality. The data available to manipulate was slimmer than most products I've used. The fields were often clunky. Document storing and file management sucked.

Reporting is powerful, very customizable.

**What do you dislike about Namely?**

Inability to upload individual documents to employee files (supervisor notes, for example)
Inability to classify an employee as "inactive" without formally terminating them (no convenient when hiring & laying off seasonal employees who return regularly.
There are no reminders if an employee's work authorization is about to expire.  I-9 process is not too automated (a foreign passport was recongnized as a US passport, for example.

**What do you like best about Namely?**

As an admin, I love the freedom I have to do just about everything I need to do. Our previous HRIS/Payroll program had little to no customization options. Namely for the most part is very user friendly.

**What do you dislike about Namely?**

There are some aspects of Namely that seem completely ignored, even though other HRIS/Payroll systems have no issues making those aspects user friendly. For example, workflows (custom built request forms) are clunky. Rehiring is virtually unsupported without losing historical data. Hourly PTO doesn't sync with the company calendar like exempt employees do. Reports can't be shared or published for users other than the report creator.

**What problems is Namely solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The majority of our workforce is remote. We love Namely as our home page for company updates and conversations. It's become our company hub. We managed to consolidate from 4 different programs for timesheets, PTO, onboarding documents, and payroll into one--and we're in the process of consolidation all our personnel requests to Namely as well. Eventually we look forward to also consolidating our recruiting and new hire requests as well as benefits administration, as well as fully utilizing Performance.

Namely is a modern HR Platform that can handle payroll, benefits and talent management. It is just as ubiquitous in professional life, as it is a cloud based platform which makes work easy and convenient.  At top there's Home, People and Teams. The Home Screen is where users are able to do most of the interacting. On home screen, you can see the feed which includes messages from the HR team, and team member's anniversaries and birthdays.

**What do you dislike about Namely?**

With all this extensive features, still the software has a downside, the payroll management seems little overwhelming when it comes to the automatic emails from the system, as it provides a link through email and should be verified within a short time. So, if I am little late by time, had to contact the system admin to resend the new link.

If you are considering for a product for the overall project management and payrolls, Namely might be the right option for you.

Namely has made my work easier in various ways. Like any other social websites, you can simply like posts, add comments. On the left you can see the dashboard, where you can find several links that will help you to navigate the platform. "My Profile" in the top left allows you to view information pertaining to your company; also you can view compensation and benefits from the profile section. Goals and Performance reviews can also be accessed from it without any hassles. Namely has made it pretty easy to request time off or sick time plan details for employees according to their needs, and overall the calendar view option can be customized as per the necessity of the organization. Under Resources, you can find forms, policy guides and other HR information, which helps the employees to access the documentation within a click. Moreover, Payroll feature is also accessible from the home screen. Namely has made possible to review pay stubs for individual pay periods. Additionally, in a Payroll module you can automate benefits deductions, utilize seamless time tracking, and proper filing of tax documentation, also there's a benefit module where you can manage 401K, Healthcare and employee benefits. And talent management module allows you to easily accomplish peer and manage reviews.

Some aspects are harder for managers to use. I get the most complaints about the reviews function. There's some opportunity to make that work better and be more flexible. We also have an international team and their payroll function only serves our US team.

Make sure you're crystal clear during the sales process and understand what's included and what is not, what your support model will look like, and how they bill. Those all had little surprises for us.
