What I like most is its capacity and compatibility to backup to Cloud S3 Compatible storage which is the first option for most organizations that implement 3-2-1 backup policy or those that have available S3 for secure copy of backups offsite. You can integrate your own EDR to scan your backups. The support as well is very helpful and knows the product very well. The performance of backup and restore is also better than our previous backup solution and the user interface is very easy to navigate. Nakivo is easy to set up and doesn’t require heavy infrastructure or virtual machines to run the backup software. It can do most premium jobs as what other, more expensive backup solutions do, but at a minimal cost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The only thing I dislike with Nakivo is the reporting structure Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like most about NAKIVO Backup & Replication is its versatility, reliability, and ease of use. The interface is very intuitive, making it easy to configure, schedule, and manage backups without unnecessary complications. It has helped us save time, automate processes, and improve data protection in our organization. It is an excellent solution that meets our needs and offers great value for money. So far, I haven't experienced any significant issues with NAKIVO Backup & Replication. The software has worked very well and meets our organization's backup requirements. If I had to suggest an improvement, I would appreciate more customizable reports and advanced notification options. However, these are minor suggestions that do not affect my overall satisfaction with the product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What we like most about NAKIVO Backup & Replication is its ability to protect multiple workloads from a single platform. As organizations increasingly distribute their data across private cloud environments, public cloud services, and Microsoft 365, having one solution for backup and recovery significantly reduces operational complexity.

The user interface is intuitive and easy to navigate, allowing our engineers to quickly deploy, manage, and monitor backup jobs across customer environments. Performance has also been very strong, with reliable backup and recovery operations and efficient use of storage through features such as compression and deduplication.

From a business perspective, NAKIVO delivers excellent value for money. Compared to other enterprise backup solutions, it offers a broad feature set, including Microsoft 365 protection, replication, ransomware protection through immutable backups, and flexible deployment options, without the high licensing costs often associated with competing products. This combination of simplicity, performance, and cost-effectiveness was one of the main reasons we selected NAKIVO at Sovitas. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

One feature we would like to see improved is native integration with cloud identity providers such as Microsoft Entra ID. For organizations that have standardized on modern identity and access management platforms, deeper support for single sign-on and centralized identity management would further enhance the administrative experience. Apart from that, NAKIVO has met our expectations very well in terms of functionality, performance, and ease of use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I think NAKIVO Backup & Replication is an excellent backup solution. The sales team was very responsive, making the implementation process go very smoothly. They were flexible in arranging demos, including those with engineers, which allowed us to set up the system smoothly. The backup solution offers a wide range of features, and the GUI is very simple and intuitive, making it easier to use than the backup solution I used previously. The simplicity of the backup solution is a crucial factor for us, especially when changing backup schedules, troubleshooting issues, or performing restores. This simplicity helps prevent operational errors and makes it easier to document these processes in manuals and guides. Once the NAKIVO engineer showed me how to set it up, it was easy. I have already introduced NAKIVO to my colleagues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It offers a lot of options for backing up from Proxmox to a bare-metal server, and they also provide perpetual licenses. You can even run it from your Synology NAS. Setup and onboarding were really fast, and support has been very quick and helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

You have to buy a minimum bundle for perpetual licenses—for example, 10 servers—even if you only need one. Also, the backup process takes a long time, although that may be an issue on my side, and we’re working through it with the tech team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

NAKIVO is simple to set up and easy to manage day to day. I can quickly check that backups are running properly, see if something has gone wrong, and handle restores without having to dig through complicated menus. It does what we need without adding extra work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There’s not much I dislike overall. Some settings and advanced options can take a little time to find or understand, especially when you first start using it. Once everything is set up though, day-to-day use is pretty straightforward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I highlight the most is the flexibility of its architecture, specifically the ability to deploy the backup engine directly as a native package on our NAS storage without overloading the infrastructure. This local integration allows us to leverage network speed and free up hypervisor resources. Additionally, compression drastically reduces disk space, while the web interface remains agile, clean, and very easy to manage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Although the solution excels in infrastructure backups, the management of advanced analytical reports still has room for improvement for environments seeking highly detailed custom metrics outside of standard reports. Also, being on version 11.1.0, we perceive that the integration for backing up SaaS (like Microsoft 365) has improved in recent releases, so we would like to see even more simplified workflows when managing retention and granular policies for email accounts and SharePoint from the same unified console. A single package that covers all backup tasks, with options for encryption and immutability. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

With so many options available, the initial setup can feel a bit challenging, but support is always nearby for assistance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

NAKIVO Backup and Replication offers an excellent price-to-quality ratio and includes many useful features, such as backups to S3 cloud storage and VM replication. Support is very helpful, fast and have a vast knowledge of the product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The UX could be improved, since the parameters for editing backup jobs aren’t always clear or easy to understand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I find NAKIVO Backup & Replication easy to use, and the main backup system is very straightforward. It gives me a cost-effective way to back up my on-premises VMs, and the initial setup was very easy. It was also a cheaper alternative to Datto. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

None, find it very easy to use and better than datto Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
