While Morningmate covers most of our needs very well, there are a few areas where it could improve. The project system is very good. I use the social media-style view with my family projects, who aren't interested in traditional project management view, and I use the more structured task/project tabs for my own work and goals projects. This dual approach works brilliantly for how I manage different parts of my life.

Downsides? It’s not straightforward to (for me) to share specific projects with clients, granting limited access and visibility. I once invited a client, but they could see my family names, which I wasn’t comfortable with—so now I use something else for external clients. Also, I wish the week could start on Monday in calendar instead of Sunday, and there are a few small flow issues around the calendar and tasks functionality, but nothing major—especially since the Google Workspace sync balances that out. The last thing I dislike is the status tags, these annoy me as they don't make sense for my work or private use. Even in a professional project management setting these do not work. The board and messenger functions are integrated, so there’s less chance of receiving personal messages or having my personal time disrupted outside of working hours. Since it's a messenger I use every day, it might not be so bad once I get used to it. If the UI and UX were a bit more intuitive—maybe by taking cues from apps like Toss or others—it could be much better. Not sure how well it works for English-speaking users though.
