Somewhere it required to have new patches and bug improvements for older versions. Many times a bug has been reported but we has to manage with workaround as patching would have take a much longer than needed

Creating Situation and aligning it with relatable incidents , makes life easier . It does co-relation and ticketing customization easy . Also can see the MTTR on dashboard by default to know how good it is performing

Moogsoft is easy to use. All incidents and situations are easy to access and understand the workflows. Their customer support also excellent. Cloud system also very helpful and easy to understand.

**What do you dislike about Moogsoft?**

Moogsoft is depending on message bus like RabbitMQ. Moogsoft uses Apache Tomcat, NGNIX as open source technology.  But if any issue occur then we didnot get any support from moogsoft.

**What problems is Moogsoft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Moogsoft provides common platform for all. Duplicate alerts are easy to identify. All the related alerts can be corelates. It is an open source AIOps tool. It solves our problem very easily like, all the alarms are converts into single situation. Most value added features also available like- event management, observability. All you need to understand how to use workflow features.

**What do you like best about Moogsoft?**

The AI ability of the tool to deduplicate the alerts and correlate the events. Its very effective in reducing the noise. I also like its feature of the probable root cause of the issue which helps us immensely in narrowing down to the root cause in a very short time.

**What do you dislike about Moogsoft?**

Not many to dislike. However, when I think about one thing, I can say the summary of the situation created based on correlated and consolidated events sometimes does not make all sense.

**What problems is Moogsoft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Without Moogsoft my operations team was overwhelmed with the high volume of alerts to work on and resolve. My team had to create tickets manually and many times they ended up missing critical alerts. With Moogsoft coming in, we have seen a significant reduction in alert due to its feature of alert deduplication and event correlation and automated ticket creation. All these by themselves have improved our productivity a lot. That is not it, My operations team used to spend a significant amount of time troubleshooting and resolving the incidents and it used to take a long to determine the root cause. Moogsoft helps in trending the incidents very well by providing all similar incidents that occurred in the recent past with details of actions taken to resolve the incident and also helps determine the probable root cause.

It creates a single situation when multiple alerts for similar device come up or if multiple alerts for similar issue and similar device arise rather than creating many number of tickets.

**What do you dislike about Moogsoft?**

There is no option of rerunning any action which will recheck if th alert is still active. We have to wait for the alert to be cleared automatically and sometimes it takes really long and even never clear the alert. hence we have to clear the alert manually in this case.

Solving multiple tickets which were raised for an account with multiple devices.
Solving multiple similar alerts for a single device for which the cause was same and hence all the alerts for different times are solved also helping in an RCA>

The best in market for handling loads of events for mini to Huge organizations.
Tremendous noise reduction, Neural Feedback, Machine Learning and best customizable Algorithmic Intelligence along with AIOps.
Great in teams collaboration in single console.

With older versions of Moogsoft we faced some challenges but with their continued improvisations product is getting much better and in current Enterprise versions Almost everything will be handled at UI level.

The big challenges in every organization is tickets flow with events 1:1.

With Moogsoft it's been simplified just like that using deduplication(Events to Alerts) mechanism.


Along with that we have a great feature named Clustering which will filter more similar deduped alerts into Situaions.

These mechanisms are helping the customers in targeting minimum of 95+% of noise reduction in many cases.

What not, many more similar to such features with Moogsoft Enterprise.

Few tickets gets the alert cleared but the moogsoft alert is still active. I like the benefit that it avoids creation of similar alerts generated multiple times and also gives a nice broader view of the alert.

The Moogsoft platform has helped us to create an environment in which we can eliminate unnecessary alarm noise to focus on what needs to be addressed.

Although we have had significant success with using Moogsoft's platform, close to 100% uptime is needed when managing networks so that needs to be the priority.

The best of moogsoft is its integration with all other managers which deliver the alerts generated to it. The moogsoft manager consists of several managers which monitor servers and fetch the alerts from them and deliver it to moogsoft.

Automation process has a very big drawback in the moogsoft tool. We get as many tickets for a single issue and it causes a big inconvinience for the users who are about to work on it.

I strongly recommend users to use  moogsoft for alert monitoring as it has so many benefits compared to other monitoring tools. The speacial of moogsoft is  the integration with other managers.

Overall moogsoft is a good one for those who prefer smartwork.

Moogsoft is one the best tools ever used for monitoring tools. It is also called as MOM meaning manager of managers. It is used to get alerts from several managers and integrate them in a single tool. It really helps in multitasking

**What do you dislike about Moogsoft?**

The one main thing to dislike is we ave a problem in automation. While automating tickets there is an issue in back end and it has not been rectified bby team . The semi automation and automation becomes an issue while we receive repeated tickets for the same issue and hence it makes working difficullt on multi incidents for a same issue.

**Recommendations to others considering Moogsoft:**

I strongly recommend users to use moogsoft as you can avoid using multiple managers for monitoring by integrating them into a single manager tool for alerts.
The moogsoft monitoring tool has several managers integrated into a single monitoring tool and therefore it makes work a lot more easier and the user is able to do multitasking instead of sitting with a single work of alert monitoring.
There are so many advantages and hence i recommend it strongly

We do work on multiple things such as creating tickets and using maintenance tool for suppressing alerts during activity and keeping notes for incidents if no action is taken. the main advantage we could say is we are able to integrate it with incident management tool and ease of work by managing incidents throgh them.

It has AIOps capabilities which leads alerts correlation across elementary event data, hence resulting in incident reduction. Its also one of the best comparing with other competitors in the market because of its features, techniques and their technical support. It has its own scripting mechanism to design your own feature but in that case you have to take the help of tool team then the final result will be awesome

**What do you dislike about Moogsoft?**

The maintenance window approach does not include the end date,it should be modified. End-user should be aware of the time window.
Documentation should be improved for advanced features because for those we have to open ticket with the tool team to understand.

A good AIOps tool available in the market will result in incident reduction and drastically reduce alert noise. Also, it's very agile, which allows us to collaborate across teams. if you are lookinf for these things then i think you should go for it as this tool is also make themselves better with Ai capabilities whch can predict certain things which ultimately helps us to undertsand and reduce damages.

Its good and what i like the most is easy incident creation. we can easily create incident and the main thing i like in moogsoft is the integration with other managers .
It can be linked with several managers for easy monitoring hence allows the users to work in an easy environment. 
Moogsoft is also called as the manager of managers since a single tool can be used to monitor most of the managers so it reduces work complication. Hence the users come into a very user free environment.

**What do you dislike about Moogsoft?**

what i dislike is automation is still a goal to achieve. Automation sometimes creates very complicated issues which leads to the crash of the tool. Until now we are able to get a clarity in semi automation but while it comes to full automation it leads to various issues and henceforth that is the only thing to be disliked in moogsoft.

I strongly recommend using moogsoft it has so many advantages .You can integrate several managers in this tool. And it really meets its requirements.

Incident creation and monitoring of alerts from servers. moogsoft tool is integrated with service now tool so that we can create tickets from the moog itself and integration of several alert managers with the tool helps us in receiving alerts from various servers and creates an easy environment for users. Moogsoft is one of the best tools i have used.

**What do you like best about Moogsoft?**

•	With our legacy tools we were looking at 7k+  alerts a day. With MoogSoft Situation concept of clustering alerts based on different alert attributes via recipes we are now looking at 1500+ Situations which is a drastic reduction.
•	"Next steps" section in the Situation room lists similar situations which helps us identify the action taken on previous ones and fix the issue quickly.
•	PRC (probable root cause) helps us in identifying the cause of issue early and fix it.
•	Addition integrations to VMWare VROPS, AWS SNS, AWS CloudWatch, Network/Storage devices via SNMP traps etc. help us a great deal in limiting the set of monitoring tools in the environment and hence less administrative overhead.
•	Appreciate the amount of flexibility they have provided in designing a LAM (module to ingest alerts from various data sources). We can literally do anything and present alert into AIOPS as we want.
•	UI is easy to Navigate.
•	Tight integration to ticketing system like ServiceNow. Integration syncs Worknotes and status between Situations and incidents in real time.
•	WorkFlow Engine in 7.3 is a great functionality and has some good functions to process/enrich/drop alerts and Situations as per our requirement.
•	MoogSoft support is commendable. They help us in a timely manner with all our issues and upgrade/patches.

**What do you dislike about Moogsoft?**

NO dislikes, but below 2 functionalities need some maturity.

•	Clustering of alerts based on topology.
•	Situation / Alert reporting via Grafana.

Event Correlation engine which helps in identifying the right alarm [parent event]  where the issue occurs is really awesome.

Domain Depthness. For example: Alert from the network is the root cause of the incident. But AIOPS platform doesn;t helps in narrowing down what is responsible for the alert is a major drawback.

No major dislikes. one of small issue is alert gets auto cleared sometimes.

Finally it is a meal with full of varieties with the following features. Basically I like the console view with colors.And situations generated by different tools which throws with  Severity. And we can segregate the alerts by filters.Creating a incident which integrated with SNOW. Placing the CI's list in MM.

When I click create an incident for a situation, Sometimes I face issues of getting multiple tickets(say 2) for the single situation. which will give more work for me to cancel the 2nd ticket as a duplicate.

MOOGSOFT is a MOM monitoring tool which can be integrated with all other tools and we can monitor the alerts and situations in a single dashboard. 

We can categorize the severity of alerts and situations easily by the color variations.
Red color indicates Critical severity
Orange color indicates Major severity
Yellow color indicates minor severity
Blue color indicates warning severity

like these we can easily Analyze the severity.
MOOGSOFT having one of the best AI based alert integrations into situations.

Black out portal not able to place more servers (more than 25+) in maintenance at the same time.

Now a days i could see alert dumps are not maintained in the console for long. Need to be efficient to provide at least one months alerts in the console.

As the color distinguishes the priority of the alert we receive.

Sometimes it indicates wrong incident number to the situation ID.
Placing bulk number of servers in MM is quite difficult.
Though we place server in MM , it will throw alert.
Though the issue is not resolved the alert shows to be cleared after a specific period of time.

I like the concept of finding correlation to issues going on, and working with other platforms for documenting issues through to Problem records and Change Requests.

  Unfortunately for the use I've witnessed it feels to fall short on delivering on its promises.  This was sold to us as a one-stop solution, but it's integration has never been delivered.
