Modlr has helped us become more efficient in divisional and consolidated reporting. We are still in the initial stages of roll out, but am also looking forward to being able to integrate non-financial KPI’s, and rolling out dashboard reporting. **What do you dislike about MODLR?** The admin/back end of Modlr is a little less intuitive and took some time to get a handle on the cubes, however the Modlr team have assisted this process through training and patience! **What problems is MODLR solving and how is that benefiting you?** Divisional reporting and nuances between business units have needed some work to make sure the reporting structure makes sense when it comes to rolling out Modlr reports. Data controls between Xero/MODLR have been solved with fixes put in place to ensure the systems are synced. Benefits have included more reliable and comprehensive reporting which were previously prepared manually. ### 2. If you've used a system like HFM or Essbase, it uses a similar cube logic. Customer service is exceptional, the team are experts in the system, quickly and efficiently helping with any request or issue. **What do you dislike about MODLR?** Like any tool that is customisable, time needs to be invested learning about the product and how it can best serve the businesses needs. **What problems is MODLR solving and how is that benefiting you?** Integrates seamlessly with accounting packages to suck data into the warehouse where relevant reports can be generated. Our accounting package was unable to give us the reporting we needed, so we turned to MODLR to assist. MODLR has saves us many hours of manual data manipulation. ### 3. It's easy to use and the reporting flexibility leaves other products behind. It is getting closer to the pixel perfect reporting that was available in older products like crystal reports etc. It is a game changer of a product. **What do you dislike about MODLR?** Nothing really as they take feedback onboard and come up with solutions or enhancements to their product. **What problems is MODLR solving and how is that benefiting you?** Budgeting and reporting in excel, lock stock and barrel. Looking to transition away from maintaining multiple planning spreadsheets for over 50 users and all the associated challenges this brings.we are looking to shifting away from excel reporting into utilising the Modlr reporting platform. ### 5. Additionally, MODLR's reporting features and automation capabilities ensure reporting processes are standardised, as well as MODLR's ad-hoc reporting tool provides rapid insights to support strategic decision making. I'm very impressed with the platform's scalability and performance features - it's been able to scale to millions of data points without affecting performance. **What do you dislike about MODLR?** It took a little while to get used to using cubes in MODLR as I'm from an Excel background, but I felt supported in learning the switch. **What problems is MODLR solving and how is that benefiting you?** MODLR  replaced a lot of manual work, streamlining the review and rework of the budgeting, reporting and forecasting processes. Changes and scenario modelling were quick and easy to do systemically rather than updating countless excel spreadsheets which dramatically improved efficiency. ### 6. Very user friendly and easy to navigate throughout the platform. MODLR has helped us in many ways with more efficient and reliable reporting. It’s able to store financial data but also non-financial and volume metric data which means the platform is used as the basis for our all reports. We are also in the process of working with MODLR to use their new ‘dashboard’ tool. **What do you dislike about MODLR?** The back end (admin side) of MODLR can be a little hard to understand initially if you're not familiar with formula/coding. The MODLR team have been helpful in working through and helping learn this part of the platform **What problems is MODLR solving and how is that benefiting you?** Business structure/complexities with entities upon integration have been solved. Data updates between Xero/MODLR have been solved. Benefits include more accurate and reliable reporting as opposed to preparing manual reports and efficiency. ### 9. Their support has been pretty impressive and keen on adding functionality that's requested on their forums. Would definitely build more FP&A solutions as well **What do you dislike about MODLR?** A day of learning to how it works with Cubes but this is a learning curve almost any tool has. **What problems is MODLR solving and how is that benefiting you?** Planning out our budget for the year and automating it. We have managed to migrate the majority of our repetitive Excel workbooks to MODLR and can't believe how easy it was. For the last couple of months since using the platform it has allowed us to look at our budgets and forecasts at a granular level and work simultaneously without the worry of file errors or version control. It has proved invaluable in tracking our company's KPIs and overall performance! The price is also a positive being very competitive if not lower than many other similar solutions on the market. **What do you dislike about MODLR?** It takes a few days/week to get used to using the cubes in MODLR, especially when were very excel driven in the past. So there will be a bit of a learning curve, but once you learn the basics (which is very much like working in pivot tables) you will be very happy you did. **Recommendations to others considering MODLR:** Try it! it is free to sign up and you will be thankful you did. **What problems is MODLR solving and how is that benefiting you?** Reduced time to compile financial information. Spreadsheets that were manual and error-prone can be digitized and automated, freeing up resources for value added activities and creating better accuracy and confidence in decision-making. There's lots of help available too. **What problems is MODLR solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have a lot of experience with Corporate Performance Management solutions, having worked with them and implemented them in many industries including banks, financial services like insurance, freight and logistics, industrial companies like iron ore miners and cement manufacturers, and retail chains. So we had a very detailed checklist on what our requirements were for an effective corporate performance management solution, and we found that MODLR met and surpassed all our needs. It was easy to implement and customize, scalable, and powerful. Our users love it. Customer support was fast and personal. MODLR is our go-to software for corporate performance management. ### 12. Transferring our Excel sheets into MODLR was very straightforward, and the drill-down functionality has allowed us to increase our accuracy tenfold since we started using the platform, as it gives us a view on our budgets / forecasts at the most granular level. The platform has been invaluable in enabling us to more accurately track our company's KPIs and overall performance, at a much lower cost than other competing software. **What do you dislike about MODLR?** Adjusting to using cubes instead of spreadsheets takes time (no more than a week) - similar to working in pivot tables using formulas **What problems is MODLR solving and how is that benefiting you?** Removes headaches associated with version control issues, more flexible and powerful than higher cost competitors.
