"Miro Makes Real-Time Brainstorming and Visual Collaboration Effortless"

5/5

What do you like best about Miro?

What I like most about Miro is how it turns brainstorming into a collaborative experience. The infinite canvas gives my team plenty of space to map out ideas, user flows, system architectures, and project roadmaps without feeling constrained. The drag-and-drop interface is intuitive, so even new team members can start contributing with minimal onboarding.

One of Miro's biggest strengths is real-time collaboration. Multiple people can edit the same board simultaneously, leave comments, use sticky notes, and vote on ideas, which makes remote workshops and planning sessions much more engaging. The large library of templates for brainstorming, agile ceremonies, mind maps, and retrospectives also saves a significant amount of time.

I also appreciate its integrations with tools like Jira, Slack, Google Drive, and Microsoft Teams, which make it easier to connect brainstorming with execution. Performance has generally been smooth, even on larger boards, and the cloud-based nature of the platform means I can access my work from anywhere without worrying about version control.

From a value perspective, the free plan is generous enough for individuals and small teams, while the paid plans provide advanced collaboration and administration features that are worthwhile for growing organizations. Overall, Miro has streamlined planning sessions, improved communication across distributed teams, and made visual collaboration far more efficient than using static documents or traditional whiteboards. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Miro?

While Miro is an excellent collaboration platform, there are a few areas where it could improve. Large boards with thousands of objects can occasionally become sluggish, especially on less powerful devices or when multiple collaborators are editing simultaneously. Better optimization for complex workspaces would make the experience smoother.

The pricing can also be a challenge for freelancers, students, and small teams, as several useful collaboration and administrative features are locked behind paid plans. A more flexible pricing structure or additional capabilities in the free tier would make the platform accessible to a wider audience.

Although Miro offers many integrations, some require additional configuration or premium plans to unlock their full potential. The AI features are helpful for generating summaries and organizing content, but they can sometimes produce generic results and would benefit from more context-aware suggestions tailored to specific projects.

Finally, the sheer number of features can feel overwhelming for first-time users. A more guided onboarding experience and clearer in-app tutorials for advanced tools would help new users become productive more quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?

Miro helps solve the challenge of keeping teams aligned during brainstorming, planning, and project execution, especially when members are working remotely or across different locations. Instead of relying on scattered documents, screenshots, and long message threads, we can centralize ideas, workflows, diagrams, and meeting notes on a single collaborative board.

It has improved our planning process by making it easier to visualize user journeys, system architectures, sprint plans, and project roadmaps. Real-time collaboration reduces the need for follow-up meetings because everyone can contribute, leave feedback, and track decisions in one place. The ready-made templates also save time when running workshops, retrospectives, or design sessions.

Overall, Miro has streamlined communication, accelerated decision-making, and made collaboration more organized and transparent, resulting in faster project planning and better coordination across the team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Miro Makes Brainstorming Easy with Helpful Templates"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Miro?

I am using Miro nearly every day to map out ideas and brainstorm workflow with my team and also it has been very helpful to be able to place all information on a single board without having to think as much before doing so. I find the templates are a great help to me as well since they allow me to quickly begin working on a project without having to stare at a blank board every single time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Miro?

Sometimes our boards get so cluttered that finding the small sticky notes becomes a issue and also another thing is that some of the formating options take a bit longer to find then they need to because i am usually clicking around until i see them. Again thats more of an annoyance than a huge deal since it does slow me down slightly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?

Prior to purchasing Miro, we used lengthy descriptions and random screen shots in order to explain how things worked. Everyone who had a role in each project remained unclear regarding the direction of the project but with Miro we are able to create maps of ideas, edit diagrams together and ensure that everyone viewing the diagram(s) views the exact same version. "Miro’s Infinite Canvas Makes Remote Collaboration Seamless"

5/5

What do you like best about Miro?

Miro's infinite canvas is the standout feature for me - it gives our team a shared visual space where ideas never feel cramped. The drag-and-drop interface and ready-made templates for retrospectives, user story mapping, and brainstorming let us spin up a productive session in minutes rather than starting from a blank slate. Real-time collaboration is genuinely seamless: seeing teammates' cursors and edits live has made our remote workshops feel as engaging as in-person ones. I also love the sticky notes, voting, and timer tools that keep meetings focused and inclusive. Integrations with Slack, Jira, and Confluence keep everything connected to our existing workflow, which has saved us hours of manual copying each week. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Miro?

Honestly there is very little to dislike. The main thing is that with a large number of objects on a very big board, performance can slow down a little on older machines. New users can also feel slightly overwhelmed at first because there are so many features and tools available, so a bit more guided onboarding would help teams get up to speed faster. Pricing can add up as you scale to more editors across a larger organization. None of these have been dealbreakers for us, and the value we get far outweighs them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?

As a distributed team, we used to struggle with running effective workshops and brainstorming sessions across time zones - whiteboard photos and scattered docs meant ideas got lost. With Miro, we now have a single living canvas for planning, retrospectives, and roadmapping that everyone can contribute to in real time. This has cut the prep and follow-up time for our workshops significantly and made our sprint planning far more visual and collaborative. Onboarding new team members is easier because our processes are mapped out visually, and stakeholders can drop in to review work without needing an account. Overall it has replaced several separate tools and made our remote collaboration genuinely enjoyable and more productive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Empowers Remote Teams with Visual Stakeholder Alignment"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Miro?

I use Miro mainly to align stakeholders in a visual way and to run workshops. It's great for me as it serves as the main point of a project during the discovery phase in our company. Miro really helps people interact in workshops, especially considering most attendees are remote. We use the post-its features and create templates for those workshops, sometimes I use the ones offered in the tool. I use a lot the voting feature, this is essential to alignment without conflict. It's easy to present designs and make them accessible to everyone, even those who are not familiar with design tools. I like that it's mostly about drag and drop, making it easy to build and organize explanations visually. I'm also happy with the AI feature now. I copy and paste content from a doc or data from a spreadsheet and ask it to create slides, which helps me prepare for workshops with the intro and data I want to share. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Miro?

I think the file display, filters, and thumbnails are still not great. It's super hard to find a Miro board if you don't remember the exact name but only remember its visuals. Even the new side file organization isn't working the way I expected. I would prefer more like a "Mac Finder" structure. File display should automatically take a thumbnail of something relevant and recognizable inside of it. They should use AI to get a relevant image to display Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?

Miro solves distance issues and communication issues. Also helps us to save time. I use Miro to align stakeholders visually and run workshops. It helps people interact remotely and simplifies presenting designs, making them accessible to everyone, not just designers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Miro helps me to lay out & develop my thinking and collaborate with others."

4.5/5

What do you like best about Miro?

It helps me lay out thoughts, information, and plans visually, and it’s easy to share with others on my team. I also like that all of us can add comments and contribute information (I guess that = collaboration :-) ). I like being able to come back to a Miro board and keep building on it over time. It’s flexible for different uses—flow charts, mapping information, planning user studies, and more. Next, I plan to use it like a big calendar to map out what needs to happen over the next six months. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Miro?

Formatting text: seems a little basic, and my co worker had to show me at least twice how to create bulleted lists. It's just not obvious, and I'd like it to work just like Microsoft Word, which I use all the time.

Login: Sometimes I have to take a few extra steps and run into trouble logging in. Nothing terrible, but the login flow just felt kind of janky. Now I simply go to miro.com and it automatically redirects me to the SSO login, and I don’t even need to have the app installed on my computer. That’s a nice improvement, since installing any software is an extra step for us because we have to submit a ticket to our IT group. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?

Sharing big, messy “bulletin boards” of information. It makes me think of those crime dramas where they pin up all the clues and connect everything with string, eventually leading them to catch the bad guy. For me, it’s also just a place to lay out, organize, and share my thoughts. It benefits me because it helps me think things through, and it helps me share my thinking with others. And to benefit from the thinking of others. I also like it when people share their boards with me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Miro turned my scattered thinking into something I can actually build with."

5/5

What do you like best about Miro?

What I love most about Miro is that it removes the barrier between thinking and communicating. When you are building something with a team, the biggest problem is usually not the idea, it is making sure everyone sees the same picture. Miro solves that instantly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Miro?

The free plan runs out quickly. When you are organizing community events and working with multiple boards at the same time, you hit the limitations faster than you expect. For ambassadors trying to introduce Miro to new users, a little more room on the free tier would make a big difference. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?

Miro solves the problem of scattered thinking. Before Miro, my ideas were stuck in my head or buried in documents nobody reads. Miro makes them visual and shareable instantly.

For me personally it means I can plan faster, align my team easier, and run community events where strangers collaborate on the same canvas within minutes. It turns confusion into clarity and that is something I use every single day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Miro: Seamless Collaboration, Intuitive Features"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Miro?

I love the ability to collaborate live with my team members and vote on things in Miro. I also love the different shapes that I can change objects into on my Miro board, like from cards to timelines. The AI functionality is also something I really appreciate as it helps find threads in customer feedback that I put on the board. I love how straightforward the onboarding journey is with very few steps, allowing me to get up and running quickly based on the profile I choose. I also love the fact that I could quickly create a team and create boards under particular teams, making the process smooth and simple. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Miro?

I think one of the things that doesn't work as well is the option to follow someone on the board. Sometimes, it sort of disconnects from the person I'm following. Or it's just too broad in terms of the view, so I'm not able to see exactly where the person is pointing to or where the person is sharing. I think there can be improvements in being able to do collaborative sessions where someone is pointing specifically to something on the board and being able to see that on my screen very clearly, like following them as if they were there live while they are sharing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use Miro for brainstorming, product management, and team collaboration. It lets me collaborate live, customize shapes, and use AI to spot feedback patterns. Voting features and shape customizations enhance decision-making. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless Collaboration and Idea Sharing"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Miro?

I like that Miro has a lot of formats that can be included in the board, like tables which are actually quite good. It makes it easy for me to express my ideas. It's also very easy to use, so if I'm working with someone who has not used Miro before, it's going to be very easy for that person to get started. I started using Miro in a new project with people who hadn't used it before, and we are running all of our workshops on it without me having to explain much about how to use it. The setup was very straightforward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Miro?

I haven't used the AI features mainly because they are blocked by my company. Also, the presentation capabilities are not that good. It gives more flexibility than PowerPoint, but still, I find the presentation capabilities lacking. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use Miro to organize my ideas in a visual format and to collaborate with my team remotely, which helps us align and summarize ideas into an action plan. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible, Intuitive Collaboration on an Infinite Canvas & Project Roadmap"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Miro?

What I like best about Miro is its flexibility and ease of collaboration. The infinite canvas makes it easy to organize ideas, create diagrams, and map out complex workflows without feeling constrained. Real-time collaboration allows team members to brainstorm, review designs, and provide feedback simultaneously, making remote teamwork much more efficient.

Overall, Miro is intuitive, visually appealing, and versatile enough to support everything from simple note-taking to large-scale project planning, making it a valuable tool for both technical and non-technical teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Miro?

Probably sometimes it slow to load if your Miro board contained a lot of diagram Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?

Miro helps solve the challenge of collaborating effectively across distributed teams. Instead of relying on long email threads or multiple disconnected documents, our team can brainstorm, plan, and visualize ideas together in a single shared workspace. This is especially useful for project planning, process mapping, architecture discussions, and agile ceremonies.

The biggest benefit is improved communication and alignment. Everyone can contribute in real time, leave comments, and track changes, which reduces misunderstandings and speeds up decision-making. The visual nature of Miro also makes it easier to explain complex ideas and gather feedback from both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Overall, it has made our collaboration more organized, productive, and efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful and Easy-to-Use Collaboration Tool and Makes Brainstorming and Planning Effortless"

5/5

What do you like best about Miro?

What I like best about Miro is that it brings brainstorming, planning, and collaboration into a single, intuitive workspace. The UI is clean and easy to navigate, making it simple for both new and experienced users to create diagrams, workflows, and whiteboards. Miro integrates well with tools like Jira, Confluence, Slack, and Microsoft Teams, helping our team stay connected without constantly switching between applications. Performance is generally smooth, even when multiple people are collaborating on the same board in real time. The wide range of templates and straightforward onboarding make it easy to get started, while the available help resources are useful whenever needed. The newer AI features, such as summarising content and organising ideas, help reduce manual effort during brainstorming sessions. Although some advanced capabilities require a paid plan, the productivity gains and improved collaboration make Miro a worthwhile investment for our team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Miro?

One downside of Miro is that some of its most useful features are only available in the paid plans. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?

Miro helps centralise collaboration by providing a single workspace for brainstorming, planning, and documenting ideas. It makes it easier to visualise workflows, conduct design discussions, and collaborate with distributed teams in real time. This has improved communication, reduced back-and-forth across multiple tools, and made meetings more productive by keeping everyone aligned on the same board.
