## About MentionPop
I built MentionPop after noticing that traditional SEO tools could not explain why ChatGPT or Gemini recommended a competitor. MentionPop runs scheduled buyer-intent prompts, records whether a brand appeared, retains available citations and competitor evidence, and compares observations over time. It then turns the gaps into specific technical, content, comparison, and authority recommendations. The product deliberately describes results as sampled observations. AI answers vary by prompt wording, provider, time, device, and location, so I do not want to sell a false promise of universal rankings. The free snapshot requires no card. I would especially value feedback on whether the evidence and action workflow is understandable and which AI surfaces matter most to your team.

MentionPop provides clear, timestamped evidence of how our brand appears across ChatGPT, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews. It transforms volatile AI recommendations into actionable visibility metrics, helping us track competitors, monitor citation sources, and build an evidence-first Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategy.

**What do you dislike about MentionPop?**

As a specialized AI search tracker, its feature set is strictly focused on LLMs and AI answer engines rather than traditional social media listening or local directory SEO, though this narrow focus is also why its AI tracking capabilities are so precise.

**What problems is MentionPop solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Traditional SEO tools only track standard Google blue links and miss how buyers discover products inside AI answer engines. MentionPop solves this blind spot by running automated, scheduled buyer-intent prompts across LLMs, capturing exact citation sources, and revealing where competitors are being recommended instead of us.
