I like how Shield helps to knock down the volume of malicious and spam email quickly, and it has a good facility for allowing users to easily categorize inbound mail. The automated method involving the junk email box is very simple to use. The automatic notification of new emails that are uncategorized is very valuable, catching new subscription confirmation emails, new threats, and spam, allowing them to be either dismissed or whitelisted. The Spotlight feature is really useful for locating emails effectively within the folder structure, and I also find Shield to be very intuitive and straightforward, presenting clearly what it's doing. Additionally, it was relatively painless to set up, and I greatly appreciate its reliable integration with Microsoft 365, which was a compelling reason for switching from MailProtector. Using Shield was a bit of a challenge when it came to organizing my email rules. Before Shield, I was managing email with my own set of rules, and incorporating them with the rules created by Shield took some adjusting. It's not impossible to manage, but for someone who uses rules extensively, it does present potential conflicts with the Shield rules. This was a bit challenging to overcome. I love the tight integration with Microsoft 365, which makes managing and supporting our clients so much easier. Users don't have to change how they interact with their emails unless they want to, thanks to Shield's adaptive trust network. The heads-up display is super helpful because it lets users know what emails are safe right from their browser. For us as an MSP, deploying Shield is a breeze with the step-by-step wizard, and I have complete visibility into each step, ensuring I won't disrupt a client's email flow. 95% of our clients are on Microsoft 365, so having Shield integrate directly is a huge win. I like how Shield doesn't require any additional installs or modifications, making it easy for our clients who utilize Microsoft Outlook, including mobile devices and webmail without any plugins or installs. The AI machine learning feature that learns from simple dragging of messages between folders is very intuitive and makes the platform easy to use for ourselves and our clients. I'm also impressed with the platform’s impressive ability to learn individual user preferences in just two to four weeks without relying on traditional whitelist and blacklist methods. Additionally, the security HUD is easy to understand, allowing users to conduct their own investigations into phishing, spam, and bulk email, reducing our ticket numbers. The spotlight feature helps us find messages intuitively and easily, regardless of location, and adds an extra layer of security allowing us controlled access. The convenience of managing functionalities centrally and learning individually across users is incredibly impressive. There is a seemingly traditional reliance on Microsoft 365 for email filtering that creates challenges during cutovers for new clients on some rare occasions. We've transitioned a lot from Barracuda, and Shield doesn't offer the same flexibility for staggered partial migrations like those that are available going to Shield if using Microsoft e-mail filtering. Cutover requires an MX record change but if using Microsoft a partial cutover can be accomplished if using Microsoft e-mail filtering directly. Additionally, with the loss of the security center found in Classic Outlook we're unable to automatically display the security HUD, this is a problem with New Outlook only.
