## Mailbird Reviews
  ### 1. Mailbird is Unworkable

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark Y. | Sole Proprietor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2020

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

It's gorgeous and beautifully creative with it's themes.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

Mailbird is sluggish with more than 2 email accounts. It's also buggy and lacks some core functionality such as the ability to migrate emails between accounts. It's also quite buggy during daily usage also with mail synchronization.

**Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:**

I choose Mailspring at the current time however I am looking into others that focus more on security and I am going to try Mailbird once more. I'll leave a follow up review of any new positive changes. I really wanted to adore Mailbird but unfortunately I cannot recommend it at this time.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I need the ability to manage my calendar, social media accounts and multiple emails accounts in one client. Mailspring seems to be the closest to offering what I need. I'd also prefer the client to be cross platform and Mailspring is.

  ### 2. Overrated

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan S. | L, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2020

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

I paid for a license for this and I wanted to like it, really. There are things you'd expect from an email client that it does, but there are many annoying things about it. First, it seems to work on the cloud, so searching for email can be laborious. Then, the way it displays the results is similarly annoying and inefficient. I tried to use it for several years but eventually gave up and installed Thunderbird.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

See above. It's been a month since I uninstalled it so I can't remember all the hang-ups I experienced but I don't miss it at all. And at one point the updates seemed incessant. Very annoying,

**Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:**

Consider something else as well. It may suit your needs better than it did mine.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None now

  ### 3. Mailbird

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tresa H. | Financial Reporting Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 30, 2019

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

A modern and clear graphical interface distinguishes Mailbird. The application supports IMAP or POP3 protocols, including the most popular e-mail accounts such as Gmail, Outlook. com, Yahoo or iCloud. It's easy to work with keyboard shortcuts so you can quickly create a new message, reply to e-mails you've sent and create a new account, folder or filter. An interesting addition to the capabilities of the program is the possibility of integrating the calendar with many services.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

So far I have not noticed any flaw in the MailBird solution.

**Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:**

If you are looking for an elegant and advanced e-mail client then you should consider choosing MailBird.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

MailBird allows me to use both private and business mail at the same time, so I'm always up to date with the e-mail.

  ### 4. Experience with Mailbird

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** sonal d. | Technical Lead, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2019

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

It's nice, I like its design, its integration with the operating system is great, but its easy adaptation and application to the field of email really enchanted me, as the use of add-ons like WhatsApp and Calendar has helped me a lot with my productivity

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

It is a bit confusing integration with the folders where my other email accounts are since it does not notify me by any means when new accounts arrive to these accounts so I have to be constantly checking to not miss anything and thus not losing any important information, I would like you to greatly improve that aspect

**Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:**

If you like colorful programs, adapted to the latest trends in technology and versatility along with great design finish, easy management and control over your information, and contacts plus a personal, youthful and pleasant touch, this is the indicated mail program. I really liked it a lot, and I think it is my duty to recommend this program for email management 100% in my case for domestic use in home-based businesses.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The advantages that I have had with this email manager is that I can keep up with my two main accounts, daily diary, and WhatsApp or Facebook contacts, so I feel that I have the essentials in a single program and that is very useful Personal for my day to day.

  ### 5. Highly Customizable and Lightweight Email Client

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thomas B. | System Admintrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2019

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

Mailbird allows me to customize the look and feel of the software, so I feel more comfortable working with it. I can edit a lot of settings such as theme (I like dark theme a lot), fonts, layout, zoom level, etc. In addition, I can add a lot of email accounts to Mailbird, so that I can check check all emails in a single application, no need to open multiple tabs in the browser to check mail as before.

Mailbird also integrates with many other applications from 3rd parties such as Facebook, Dropbox, Slack, ... actually I have not used all of these apps. I usually only integrate Dropbox into Mailbird because it allows me to attach files from Dropbox directly and simply. This helps me a lot because I often have to attach files when sending emails.

One more thing I really like about Mailbird is that it works very smoothly. Currently I have added 3 email accounts (1 for personal use, 2 for business), and integrated some apps like Dropbox and Facebook, but the application still works very well, I have never crashed when using it.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

The first thing I don't like is that Mailbird doesn't support Mac OS. I previously used Mailbird at my company with Windows operating system. I then bought a new Macbook Pro, as soon as I reached the download page of Mailbird, it was confusing when it said Mailbird was available for Windows only. Why does a good email client like Mailbird don't support Mac OS? This is why I no longer use it at the moment.

In addition, Mailbird does not provide any functions related to automation. For example, when I compose a new email, Mailbird does not offer any suggestions for replies (something that gmail does well helps me save a lot of time when composing mail). When searching for email, Mailbird also does not give any suggestion about the search term.

**Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:**

Mailbird is an email client that works very smoothly, integrates many 3rd party applications, and can be highly customizable. Overall, I am quite happy using Mailbird and would recommend it to everyone. However, if you are using Mac OS, Mailbird is not for you because it is available for Windows only.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Mailbird for all my email accounts, from personal accounts to business accounts. It helps me to check all my emails in a single application without having to open multiple tabs in the web browser. Overall, Mailbird works quite well, is stable and smooth, however because it doesn't support Mac OS, I have stopped using it.

  ### 6. Handle your email as soon as it arrives

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonsie G. | Sales Marketing Trainee, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 25, 2019

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

I like smooth layout, strong POP interoperability and other e-mail formats. It has a very simple but highly effective interface. It allows you to sync all your email accounts, chats and calendars, so at some point it can even be used as a support for your project management software. Besides, it allows for many different integrations with famous apps, such as Facebook, Dropbox and Whatsapp. They go straight into the system so that you do not have to abandon Mailbird for a fast understanding of what is taking place in other apps. Everything can be seen in the same platform.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

I think Mailbird has taken my personal info for marketing purposes and I don’t like that. I have received several email requests to buy the commercial version, and it has been really annoying. I have read the terms and conditions, and they don't state they were going to carry my data, but I’m seeing they actually did.

**Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:**

Mailbird is a nice tool for everyone who needs to handle more than one email account on daily basis. However, be prepared to get a bunch of advertisement coming from Mailbird.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mailbird has allowed me to be far more organized in my life, as now I am able to handle my email when it arrives, every day and almost at the same moment, instead of leaving it behind for days, like I used to do before I started using Mailbird. I use it for both, my personal and commercial e-mails and it works just great.

  ### 7. Process emails as soon as they come in

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lisa T. | Human Resources Positions, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 25, 2019

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

Mailbird allows me can organize emails through folders, arranging your connections and handling attachments in the easiest way possible. In case you want to find an old email, so old you don’t even remember the date, Mailbird makes it possible with its powerful searching tools. Besides, it allows you to open several email accounts and you can separate them or see them all in one perspective I like, by clicking on each individual email icon.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

The middle mouse button cannot scroll across the body of an email, so it takes a lot of time to have to click and drag in order to view the whole mail. Also, it does not send the License Management System anymore, so all the features appear only in a sidebar which I don’t find to be visually appropriate. Also, I would like to see a Mailbird app, so I can handle my email accounts from my smartphone.

**Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:**

If you constantly have to handle several email accounts, rather if it’s for your company or personal, Mailbird is the perfect tool for doing so.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mailbird is the best email client software I have ever used. It’s great because it allows me to process emails as soon as they come in, so I don’t get stuck in the mess of the email by incorporating all of my mail to a single interface, but still keeping some visually separation for every email account. I use it to handle several accounts from my company and it has worked very well for me.

  ### 8. Can check Facebook, Twitter, and email in one app

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David M. | Disabled Tech Blogger, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2019

  ### 9. Mailbird helps a lot with all my incoming email

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Silvio M. | IT-Personal, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 13, 2019

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

Mailbird is very easy to use and it integrates seamlessly with nearly every email account I decide to use, even with Office 365. It is highly adaptable! And it provides an ecosystem that has excellent size extensions and counts with some valuable extra instruments, such as a calendar app, a time tracking app and even a To-do list to handle assignments. By arranging my mail, Mailbird assisted me to reach Inbox Zero, which made it simple to sort and react fast.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

As with most email clients, Mailbird does not allow to set some type of guidelines, like it happens on Outlook. Having this included would be a great asset for this platform.

**Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:**

Mailbird is great for individuals, managers and people in with the responsibility to handle many email accounts at the same time. Mailbird will definitely make the email management very simple.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I discovered Mailbird, which at the moment had a free plan, after a number of issues with Outlook and hours lost attempting to make it work properly. Since then, Mailbird has been helping me a lot with all my incoming email, providing a general view of my inbox in all my email accounts and allowing me to be available at the right time to answer important emails. At first, I installed it as a backup email client on my Windows PC, but then I started to use it so often it became my main email client.

  ### 10. Mailbird

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicola L. | Finance Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2019

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

A unified inbox is the best thing about this software. I have twelve email addresses, and if I use other similar desktop email software, I'd have to click on each email address to see each inbox. It combines all the new emails with this, which helps keep all of my emails on top.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

The desktop software is on the spot, finding a fault is hard. My only wish is for my phone to have a mobile version of this software.

**Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:**

Very positive. Also, customer support was excellent, responding to any queries I had quickly.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mailbird makes it easy for me to manage multiple email addresses at an affordable price.

  ### 11. Mailbird is the most awesome tool i never used

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Quentin D. | Responsable communication & Customer experience designer (associé), Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2019

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

Mailbird is an incredibly powerful tool for my company. It s now my CRM, i can check my trello, my calendar, feedly for the most recent news, answer to my clients on whatsapp, all that on the same windows. All of this for the few bucks they ask is for me a killer-app.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

I don't like the fact that the chrome version is not up to date + i would like to have a better google drive support. I think they can add a lot of features for chat or video but it s already here. The services and app are very well chosen.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is trully powerfull and insanely useful for the price. As a CM, i can be notified if someone post on Facebook or Twitter. What a great tool. It gives a confortable amount of time and save me from switching between 15 windows. I just let it open and check it when i got a notification.

  ### 12. Manage email accounts easily and effectively

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harry P. | AI Programmer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2019

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

Mailbird allows us to configure and manage every email account in the department, setting up specific parameters for each one of them with no complications. The management panel is very easy to understand, so users can consult each email account separately or check the overview of all emails received in all the accounts. It works so effectively, it automatically gets rid of the complete junk mail, detecting even the spam and sending it to a separated folder.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

Honestly, I don’t have any complains with Mailbird. I like every feature of this software! It’s not difficult to manage or install and it doesn’t take many resources from the system.

**Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:**

Mailbird is well-suited for any type of company that have to handle several email accounts. If that’s your case, you won't regret choosing this tool. It’s guaranteed you’ll get the best email management tool out there.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I’m in charge of several email accounts in my company. Before Mailbird was deployed, I was forced to open these accounts one by one in the browser and, if I closed them accidentally, I would have to repeat the process all over again. After Mailbird, managing several email accounts became easy and effective. It’s as simple as open the software and logging into the account and it will stay open in the background, even after I had already closed it. It allows me to archive different emails, so I can always keep in hand the most important information we receive.

  ### 13. Handle the department's email accounts

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason M. | Sales Marketing Positions, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 25, 2019

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

I really like how the interface looks like. It’s very simple, it makes me feel calmed, and yet it's robust, as it can handle several email accounts at the same time without overcharging my computer. It has a sound of bird that sounds whenever I received and email. I really love how it sounds as it's so, it doesn't distract for what I am doing and I still know there's a new message in my inbox. These benefits made me purchase the pro version and it’s been great. Besides, the price was fair considering what it offers.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

If you don’t open the app for a long time, let’s say a week, the first time it opens the computer gets frozen, because it takes too much RAM to show all the new emails received. Also, I randomly get a black screen of system configuration that pop ups and disappears. I know this program is the responsible because it started happening right after I installed it in my PC.

**Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:**

I recommend Mailbird to anyone who's tired of getting a messy email board. This app allows you to review your email in order and it’s very easy to understand and master. Besides, if you have a small budget, it is cheaper than other email managers out there.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mailbird is the email management tool we deployed in my company. All employees with representatives rolls use it to handle the department's email accounts. It allows us to always stay notified when a meeting has been schedule, to received notifications for other apps and even coupons.

  ### 14. Mailbird: the best email manager I have ever worked with

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Drew H. | Sales Director, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2019

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

The interface of Mailbird is so simple and yet so useful, offering only the most important buttons (send email, reply, search, etc). I love it doesn’t waste space in useless icons. Also, I really like that I can add several email accounts so easily and quickly, as it can be done in just a couple of minutes. As we receive hundreds of emails weekly, Mailbird is a perfect way to have an overview of all our emails from all our email accounts.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

Mailbird is great, but it’s a basic tool. If you want to use Mailbird as an email marketing platform, it’s not going to work well. I say this because at first we saw some potential for it, but it wasn't possible.

**Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:**

Mailbird is a great option if you have to handle several email accounts, making it suitable for companies where communication via email is very frequent. However, don’t consider Mailbird as a platform for making email marketing, as it is too basic for that.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mailbird is the best email manager I have ever worked with! Its interface is simple and accurate, showing only the relevant information, and the way the messages are displayed is visually appealing and easy to understand. As a company, we received hundreds of emails from clients, other companies and even from other departments within the same company, but Mailbird uses filters so we're able to recognize all the important messages and send the rest, mostly unimportant adds, to the spam folder.

  ### 15. I manage my personal and business account with this tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** mishell r. | Marketing team member, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 11, 2019

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

I really like that Mailbird is a very simple tool to manage all my email account at the same time. It is as simple as typing the account and the password and it will automatically open it every time you turn up the PC, saving valuable time while logging and logging up from each one.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

I use Mailbird to manage my personal account, my company email and a couple of accounts for my personal branding page on social media, and I have realized than when there are several email accounts logged in, it takes way too much time to log in to all my accounts. Besides, it takes a lot of memory on caches from every email with information.

**Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:**

If you hold more than one email account that you need to check at least twice a day, Mailbird a great platform. I consider it to be perfect for people trying to start their own online business.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before knowing Mailbird, I wasted too much time switching from one email account to another and sometimes I even forgot which email had the information I need. Now, I can do all that in a matter of minutes, allowing me to have my personal account and my company account always updated.

  ### 16. Easy to use email manager for everyone

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Peter s. | HR Team Member, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 13, 2019

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

Mailbird is a secure platform with a very user-friendly interface. Something offered by Mailbird that is uncommon on other email managers is that it allows for IMAP and POP3 accounts automatically. The fact that I can check all my accounts efficiently in a single view is a real time-saver, and I can make backup copies whenever I want. It comes with several useful tools for tagging and filtering perfectly. Also, you have the option to add a virtual folder to organize emails, something especially useful when you’re managing hundreds of them.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

There’s actually few negative things to say about Mailbird’s performance. Maybe that it doesn't have a junk folder or a way for labeling a message as junk when it arrives a second time. Also, I think they could update the interface, maybe give it a different touch, making it look more professional.

**Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:**

I would recommend Mailbird to everyone, as my colleagues and myself agree that this is the best email manager on the market. There’s a powerful community behind Mailbird always trying to improve the software with constant updates.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mailbird is a tool widely displayed all over our organization, in every department by almost every team member. From the first time it was installed, it was so easy to use, so much that only a few employees had a couple of doubts that were resolved after a quick explanation. We chose this one because it doesn’t just work as an email manager, but it also provides a great filter to find emails that contain a specific word.

  ### 17. Fast and configurable email.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John T. A. | Management Team Member, Retail, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2019

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

Mailbird is a tool that can help in an incredible way to manage all types of emails from different companies from one place, this email client is very light, unlike other similar tools, it works very well in windows, it is super fast, and the connection between different email accounts, is done immediately, the resources that this application needs to run correctly are minimal, and it works on any desktop that is currently sold with minimum specifications, something that greatly enhances me, is that using many emails, I always had to be opened one and another and it was annoying here I can add all my mails to mailbird and receive all messages in the same folder.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

I do not see a big difference between the professional version and the free version, in our company, we use the professional version, because it offers us better support and greater security, in case something might happen, but to be honest, I feel it is something expensive to pay for a premium membership, when in the free version you have all the necessary features, to manage different email accounts from the same application, which is the main feature, and for which you personally use this tool, I'm not sitting and looking at the other features that the application has, since they do not really interest me.

**Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:**

Mailbird is an excellent application to manage different email services and applications from one place, my personal recommendation, is that if you use mailbird, for personal use, with the free version is more than enough, for companies, or people who have many emails if the professional version is recommended.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With this tool we can manage the different email accounts we have in our company from a single application, which allows us to streamline daily work, we usually use individual email accounts for different categories within our company, and it was very annoying to manage one by one, with mailbird, we can have control of all these applications from a single application.

  ### 18. Decent mailbox service with some quirks

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2019

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

I like the simplicity and customisation of Mailbird. It is aesthetically pleasing. The price-point is also very fair, and there are typically deals available to reduce the price further, as well as a referrals scheme.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

I dislike the chirping sound, although it is easy to disable. I also find it irritating that the full content of an email won't render properly and that I need to click multiple prompts to have the full content shown each time I open the software.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a handy tool to have multiple inboxes filter into one, which does save time. I have been able to consolidate a few accounts I don't need regularly and just have them all live in Mailbird.

  ### 19. Email Manager for companies

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rob R. | HR Team Member, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2019

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

With Mailbird I can add as many email accounts as I want, with no limitation, and they will all load my received messages in a single screen, where I can read, answer or eliminate every email I want quickly. The Mailbird smart system takes away all the Spam mail by itself or, in some cases, with some little manual work that even a beginner could do. Also, I once contacted the support team from Mailbird and it was very quick, effective and helpful. They are always very responsive.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

Mailbird is a great platform but I think it lacks of a proper security system. I still don’t understand exactly what information does Mailbird share from my email, but I know it does. Also, Mailbird's keyboard doesn’t allow emojis in messages. It may seem silly, but I would like to have this feature added, specially for responding my personal emails.

**Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:**

If you’re managing very delicate information in your email, you may want to stay away from Mailbird. I’m not saying all your information will be leaked, but I consider its security system to be poor. However, for simple email management at a low cost, Mailbird is the tool for you.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mailbird has made my work much easier, as I have to handle several accounts emails of the company, including a personal one. Mailbird offers us a way to visualize it all in a single platform. The software can copy all emails from Outlook or Gmail as soon as you log in, making the integration so much easier and fluid.

  ### 20. The only email manager within my company

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** mitch s. | Marketing Staff, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

Mailbird allows user to handle several email accounts efficiently and quickly. It has a great system to filter the spam mail and put the priorities on top. Besides, it comes with several features, such as filters and tags that are very helpful to find specific information within the email. It is a very versatile platform, as it runs perfectly on Windows and MAC.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

There are some issues when you’re adding several accounts, a would say more than five, from the same domain (gmail, outlook, aol, etc), sometimes it does not log into some accounts and it asks for the password to continue. I think this is a security measure, but this is something that should be fixed.

**Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:**

Mailbird is the perfect program from those in need to manage several email accounts. It is way better than logging in and out from the browser each time you want to review your inbox.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mailbird is the perfect tool for me because I use it to handle four email accounts: the email from my department, the email for the small group I work within my department and two personal accounts (I own one from gmail and one from outlook).

  ### 21. I manage 4 accounts with Mailbird

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** alexa i. | Marketing team member, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2019

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

Mailbird is an excellent tool for managing several email accounts. Something I like is that it only shows the most recent and important emails, leaving out the spam, junk and drafted messages. It comes with a calendar where you can select important dates and set appoints, which is a nice feature. In case you received important information, Mailbird makes sure it is protected, because it doesn’t download the content from the email without the previous permissions from the user.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

Right now, I manage 4 emails accounts and it runs nice, but before I had 12 email accounts and the software started to get unstable, as it got frozen and some of my email accounts wouldn’t open up. Also, whenever I had quite some time without open the software, it took forever to show all the messages received from all the accounts. Finally, I don’t like the interface. I think it looks rubbish and old. They could improve this.

**Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:**

This is a nice solution for supervisors, managers and employees in need to manage some information from different email accounts as it provides an easy follow-up for every email on real time. Also, it is free and very easy to use.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it to manage 4 email accounts for my enterprise and my personal account too and it does the job perfectly. I prefer this than using the email page, logging in on every account every time.

  ### 22. A jewel between the emails managers

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** armando m. | IT Staff, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2019

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

Mailbird allows me to have several email accounts on a single software. Adding a new account is very easy and it has no limitations with the number of accounts that can stay opened. Also, it works with the most important domains, such as Gmail, Outlook and AOL. Although it has a lot of advanced options, you don’t need to learn how to use all of them to manage your account, this is optional. Searching a message is so easy too, as simple as typing a single phrase you remember from the email and it will show all the emails with that phrase.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

I have several email accounts on Mailbird it takes a lot of time to open when there are lots of emails to load. Also, there are some cases when it says that it can access to certain accounts and I have to introduce the password once again. Another thing is that I don’t like the interface at all. It looks unprofessional.

**Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:**

I’m logging into several email accounts from my company using Mailbird. It allows me to have access to all of them at once and respond or resend messages quickly to the rest of the team when needed.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Great tool for managers and secretaries in need to manage several email accounts. Highly recommended to business with separated emails for costumer support, administration, reports, etc.

  ### 23. Simple yet powerful mail platform.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jorge M. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 28, 2018

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

Mailbird has a very clean user interface that makes navigation through your emails fast and simple. I like the ability to add on other apps like Google Calendar, Wunderlist, and Chrome extensions without having to leave the dashboard. This makes it more of an all in one production tool. I have tried other email platforms but the ability to check, file, flag and compose emails quickly and easily with the addition of my most used productivity apps in one place makes this platform my favorite for business use.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

It would be nice to have the ability to search emails that only contain attachments to help narrow down the process of locating an email with a specific attachment on it. Also, to search emails by specific attachment size limits would increase the search results.

**Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:**

I highly recommend this email product to anyone looking for a clean, easy and powerful platform for personal or business without the distractions.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Working in the e-commerce retail business having an email platform that is easy to navigate through your emails daily with ease and powerful features have helped minimize the amount of time spent checking and responding to emails which frees up our time to focus on processing orders and other tasks.

  ### 24. fifth try at this product -- don't see any reason to give them yet another change

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leslie G. | owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2019

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

Great concept. I like having many of my frequently-used apps included in email.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

I reinstall Mailbird about every 7 months, trying to like it. It's a terrific concept but some of the core concepts are missing. Each time I find a feature of two has been added and am hopeful. This time the dealbreaker is not being able to move mail messages to folders on another account. They are not intending to implement this feature. I paid for premium many installs ago and wasted my money. Ther eis no premium here. Additionally, many of the integrated apps call for paid subscriptions.

**Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:**

Look at another product.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None. None.

  ### 25. A worthwhile contender!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert R. | Naturalist & Editorial Illustrator / Ilustrador Editorial & Naturalista, Translation and Localization, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2018

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

It's a fresh approach to handling e-mails, with many user interface options and integration with other useful online resources such as The Verge, Lifehacker, Techcrunch, Google Calendar, Whatsapp, Evernote and many others as standard addons that come preinstalled (you just have to ok them from a list anytime) that take the overall user experience to another level. It also offers both a light and dark theme with other color and icon options that add to the customization possibilities. One can also add any number of e-mails for it to receive. These options are for the Pro version that I'm using which is stable and fast enough.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

The occasional malfunction, instability or incompatibility which may never occur in your experience just as much as it can take up much time and patience to solve if or when it does. Some, in my view, missing options and unusual button placements that could be improved upon. Some things do not work as expected or are unavailable, perhaps to be added someday. Google chrome integration did not work properly from within Mailbird, though I do not care much for that.

**Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:**

Be sure to understand their various installation packages (32bit, 64bit, public) and chose the right one as even if they match your system, it may not work and may need support, as was my case that required almost a year to solve... though this may not be common and, to be fair, they ended up granting me a lifetime license for my troubles.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A fine local e-mail client that can be customised.

  ### 26. One of the better mail apps

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 11, 2019

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

Nice UI (I use dark theme) intuitive options, has some useful features such as email delay, integrations and unified inbox

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

Not much to dislike although I wish they would maintain any expanded folders when switching between accounts.

**Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:**

Maintain folder expanding when switching between accounts.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

General email communication that I can use on the desktop.

  ### 27. On the way to excellence... but not quite there.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lawrence G. | Attorney at Law, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 03, 2018

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

There are two things I really like about this software. Number one: is the large and easy to read graphical display of your email. The second is the variety of add-ons that work within the program.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

A couple of things reduce the usability of this program: First, Mailbird has no ability to filter email or implement message rules; Second, Mailbird has only rudimentary searching and sorting capabilities. You can't, for example, direct email from xyz.com into a separate folder or mark for special handling, and you can't search or sort by date. If I'm looking for an email from a specific sender that I know I received in December 2016, there is not yet a convenient way to find it.

**Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:**

I really like the program but it isn't powerful enough yet to replace Outlook. For personal email and integration with Google Apps it's pretty nice at this point, but still requires more work.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The program has allowed me to integrate my email with Google Docs and Google Calendar so that everything is handy and convenient. As long as you stay within the world of Google, it's very useful.

  ### 28. My New Favorite Email Client

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John H. | Independent Business Owner - Barn Cat Marketing, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 04, 2018

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

Extremely easy to use. Clean interface. Zero problems so far combining multiple email account sources (outlook, gmail, website domains, ect). Also like the additional Trello integration so I can access it without leaving the email client.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

Takes a little getting used to but well worth it.

**Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:**

I think they have a free trial - if so, the setup is fast enough to that it is worth trying. I gave it try during a holiday sale and within a few days decided to make the purchase.

I normally have at least some hesitation when switching from one software to another but making the switch was definitely worth it.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Outlook (PC version) has been getting buggy.

  ### 29. Great organization tool for multiple email accounts

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tami Osmer M. | Client Services/Grammar Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 03, 2018

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

I don't have to switch between email programs in order to access email from several different accounts -- they're all in a convenient list right in my Mailbird. Not only that, the "Unified Account" lets me peruse ALL of my incoming mail by date, again, not having to switch to individual accounts.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

This may be user error on my part, but I dislike that when I reply to a message, the original message moves out of the "in" box.

**Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:**

Turn off the sound for incoming mail :)

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Because I manage several websites and have various types of email accounts (Outlook, gmail, site-specific, even an old Yahoo), the Unified Account makes it easy to see and respond to anything that comes in, as soon as it comes in.

  ### 30. MAILBIRD sUCKS!

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dads R. | Consultant, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2018

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

I CAN HAVE MY CALENDAR AND EMAILS IN ONE VIEW.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

For a month now, I've been fighting with Mailbird to refund my money after a couple of days of seeing that this email client isn't ready yet. There are several issues, but for me, the main one is that I have an Outlook.Live account where Mailbird doesn't show all the folders and emails in those folders. Every time I would ask for my money back, they would keep requesting for me to try something else to do and never address refunding me. Now that the suggestions are done, they keep sending emails from different reps asking me the same questions over and over again to troubleshoot the problem. They must really be hard up for money because they are doing all they can to not refund me. BUYER BEWARE WITH MAILBIRD!!!!

**Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:**

BUYER BEWARE!!!! DON'T DO IT!!!!!

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've done more quality assurance testing than their own paid testers. No benefits realized, just wasted my time for free.

  ### 31. Great e-mail client with integrated popular apps

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jan M. | SEO a PPC specialista, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 04, 2018

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

I can snooze some of my e-mails to keep my inbox empty. I can integrate other apps I use like todoist, slack, google calendar, etc. It is a pretty useful. I can add e-mail only for sending. User experience during using Mailbird is great.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

I miss delayed sending of e-mail, also integrated Asana is really slowly to use and I can´t move tasks by drag and drop (via web browser it works).

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Mailbird for almost all communication and taks management and it is really friendly to use it.

  ### 32. Good mailing service

  ### 33. Super Concept - Horrible Execution

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

Mailbird aims to solve all of the issues of a freelancer juggling multiple projects simultaneously.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

As useful and attractive as Mailbird is, the fact that the company's helpdesk and management are unconnected and clueless, makes it worthless.

**Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:**

I don’t recommend use.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mailbird, if operational, would solve all of the headaches associated with not having a unified mailbox for my 5 email accounts.

  ### 34. Simple to operate with great possibilities

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michal I. | CTO, Broadcast Media, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2017

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

Easy to operate, fast. Has build in preview for basic files, so no need to open in editor (payed version).
Zero inbox pushes you to clean the inbox and handle/solve/clear all the emails.
I especially prefer the possibility to have add-ons on the sidebar, as this saves another applications or browser windows from running

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

Search functionality could be better. There is no possibility to filer what and where to search, it always searches in the whole email account. Some nice filtering after search would be also great (I'm missing the great search that Thunderbird had)

**Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:**

For sure, need to give it a try.
At first, can be little different workflow then you are used to, but has great features/possibilities.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All email communication. Tasks management. Calendar.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

Nothing, I think its working fine. no issues

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reliability and user issues when interacting with those via different services (google, whatsapp). Benefits are that there is more to use with mailbird

2. Lightweight software.
3. Good Customised themes
4. Continuously improving the software

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

1. It is a little difficult to setup exchange accounts.
2. The interface is very modern and user friendly but more improvements can be there.
3. Addition of extra features and changes will make it worthy alternative for outllook.

**Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:**

One of the best if not the best alternatives to MS office.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

linking of multiple e-mail accounts in a lightweight program.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

Doesn't have a fully functional calendar/task addon.

**Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:**

Sometimes you don't need an email platform with all the bells and whistles. A good stable, reliable platform.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Good clear presentation. Easy to use and well thought out system. Great performance and good connection to social services. Top contact overview from different mail accounts.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

That you can only create a signature. It would be very useful that you could create multiple signatures and when creating a new message this would have to choose from.

**Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:**

Great functional mail client without a lot of tweaking with some additional improvement tools for signature.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The contact Liste from Googlemail.

Sadly, no native Exchange/MAPI support. If you are able to do this, it will be a breeze. In fact, you guys should develop Exchange support as a premium plugin. I will definitely buy it from you guys!

Snoozing emails. Quickly reading emails using the speed reader (pro feature). Integration with 3rd party services. Implementation of Contact Manager including sync.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

The software still lacks filters and rules. Implementation of new features not following user demand.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Faster Inbox Zero.

  ### 43. Easy ultiple E-mail management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Drago H. | Web Designer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2016

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

Mailbird easily organize your multiple e-mail address just by a single software. the e-mail management is very easy to understand and very fast, and you can even customize the appearance so you can read e-mail more colorful and more to your liking. They also import your save and draft e-mails from the web. you can easily search senders and download attachments, and even delete and send are much more faster than using webs.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

Mailbird is a multiple address e-mail management software, but they are still lack some features, such as marking multiple e-mail for deleting or saving. You have to manually delete or save one by one, witch is taking a long time. hopefully just like i said before, they imported all your folder and stuff, so you don't need to do it again, but still that's not quite helpful because you need to open the email first than you can save or delete it.

**Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:**

I really recommended this software to anyone that working or have more than a single e-mail, this software easily organize multiple e-mails. You can customize its appearance and its layout so you can easily read e-mail and more colorful. Although they have some lack features like multiple marking, but that can be ignored if you open the software every day to check incoming e-mails, although it will still be time consuming.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Just like android were you can register multiple e-mail addresses to get all e-mail coming to a single phone, this software also like that. You can register all your active e-mails to this software and you can easily manage them in you computer, at home or at the office. so you can easily manage your e- ail address without visiting the website.

  ### 44. Pretty and quite useful mailing client

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jakub C. | Freelance Illustrator & Graphic Designer, Graphic Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2016

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

For me it's best looking mailing client, finally something more than just regular ugly window with ton of icons. It's well organized and you can change placement of elements the way you want. It's great that other software liek dropbox and evernote connected in pro version.
User interface is great. Choice of colors, proportions and fonts is really good and it's important to me as a designer.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

There's lack of some useful features that you can have in browser with gmail, like drag and drop conversation to folder or fact that you can't add more receipients while you're writing quick reply. Little details, but they can be a bit annoying sometimes.
Sometimes I don't like that settings are quite limited and I don't have as much features as in other mailing clients like Outlook.
I was also looking for free email client - you've got to pay for pro version and there is lot of software that is free. I'm using free version so my email client is containing ads and my account list is limited to three.

**Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:**

If you don't need complex mailing client and looking for something good looking and useful - that's it.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I started to like emailing when it finally look nice and pretty.

  ### 45. nice and modern but you need to pay

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Geoffrey G. | CEO, Graphic Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2016

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

The best thing about Mailbird is the interface. For Windows users, Mailbird is awesome; it is fast and very easy to use, modern, and actually looks like Microsoft software.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

I think the security of the data and what the Mailbird company shares or not is not well defined, or at least it is not easy to find on the Mailbird website. So, what does this mean? It means we still don't know what type of information we share with this company, so if you want to keep your emails and data secure, I think this is not the right software.

**Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:**

First of all, the free version is not very good; you need to have the paid version or use the full trial version to use the software with all its benefits. However, considering the good quality graphics and easy interface, you can give it a chance and try it.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am a Thunderbird user, so Mailbird actually did not resolve any email problem, but I installed Mailbird on several computers anyway to give it a chance. A real benefit is the different software that comes with Mailbird like WhatsApp, Facebook, etc. If you work in an SMM company or similar, MAILBIRD HELPS A LOT. // I am a Thunderbird user, so Mailbird didn't really solve any email problems, but I have installed Mailbird on several computers anyway to give it a chance. A real benefit is the different pre-installed software, like WhatsApp, Facebook, etc. If you work in an SMM company or similar, this software will make many tasks easier for you.

  ### 46. Interesting email manager

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eliezer G. | Diseñador Grafico, Graphic Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2016

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

It's nice, I like its design, its integration with the operating system is great, but its easy adaptation and application to the field of email really delighted me, as the use of plugins like WhatsApp and Calendar has helped me a lot with my productivity.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

The integration with the folders where my other email accounts are is a bit confusing because it doesn't notify me by any means when new emails arrive in these accounts, so I have to constantly check to not overlook anything and thus not miss any important information. I would like you to improve this aspect a lot.

**Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:**

If you like colorful programs, adapted to the latest trends in technology and versatility along with great design finish, easy management and control over your information, and contacts plus a personal, youthful, and pleasant touch, this is the email program for you. I have really liked it quite a lot, and I feel it is my duty to 100% recommend this program for email management, in my case for domestic use in home businesses.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The advantages I have had with this email manager are that I can stay up to date with my two main accounts, daily agenda, and contacts from Whatsapp or Facebook, which makes me feel like I have the essentials in one program, and that is very beneficial for my day-to-day life.

  ### 47. It has been a life saver, been able to see all my emails in one place!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marie Debbie K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2016

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

The best thing about Mailbird is the ease of installation, they have a great support team. Once you install it you can start using it right away, the standard email companies are pre done for you.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

It is very simple, but you do have to know the mail account information. For my company email, I had to call the central office to find out our settings, and ports used, I can see how it could be complicated if you do not have technical support on your office email.

**Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:**

If you are looking for an email organizer, this is it! It will save you time, now you can see all your account in one place.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The time saved has been tremendous, I sometimes get company emails on my personal email, so having them all together allows me to very easily see my important emails. Also I can select what email account I am using to send the emails which it comes in handy if I get an email on my personal account I can send it from my company email so the customer will have the company email also.

**What do you like best about Mailbird?**

Im using windows 8, and thunder bird email client, bit hard for me because it fetch email on demand. In my career as game developer, email from my client is really important thats why im using mailbird. Mailbird can integrate with windows 8 metro ui, clean interfaces, and most important is fetch email in the background.

**What do you dislike about Mailbird?**

I dont know why, mailbird really eating up so much RAM, i have 4gb rams on my work laptop. When i fired up chrome with a lot of tabs, some times my computer freeze. And sometimes, my email didnot sent, maybe i have to set different smtp / pop3 email.

**Recommendations to others considering Mailbird:**

If you are a windows 8 user, and looking for good ui interfaces, Mailbird is a good to go, also if you using a common mail server (gmail, yahoo, hotmail, etc) i think its a best choice for free Mailbird client. For user that using another server maybe you should test first about sending email.

**What problems is Mailbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I become more responsive with email, when client mail me to work email (which usually very slow load when on browser). Mailbird can deliver faster.
