"Session Playback Turns User Behavior Into Clear, Actionable Visuals"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Lucky Orange?

The session playback engine is easily the standout feature for me because it lets you watch user sessions like a video clip. It turns technical data into clear, simple visuals, so we can quickly see what grabs a shopper’s attention and how they move through our catalog, without making the process feel complicated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lucky Orange?

The application is fairly heavy on system resources, so it requires a reasonably capable laptop to render videos and heatmaps smoothly without causing browser lag. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Lucky Orange solving and how is that benefiting you?

It completely removes the guesswork from understanding our audience’s intent by showing us exactly which items they search for and click on. It feels like getting a direct window into the customer’s mind, which makes it much easier to decide how to update our layout, banners, and overall inventory choices. "Simple to Navigate with Incredibly Detailed Visitor Data and Game-Changing Session Replays"

4/5

What do you like best about Lucky Orange?

It provides extremely detailed visitor data while still being very simple to navigate. The session recording feature has been a total game-changer for us; being able to replay customer activity like a video gives a completely different perspective on what’s actually working on the site and what isn’t. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lucky Orange?

The pricing could definitely be more competitive, especially for smaller operations. I’ve also noticed the dashboard isn’t very light on system resources; it can be quite taxing on basic laptops and really needs decent hardware to render recordings and heatmaps smoothly without lag. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Lucky Orange solving and how is that benefiting you?

It helps me better understand what our customers are thinking by showing exactly what they search for and where they click most often. Having that level of visibility lets us continually refine our store design and product offerings based on real user intent, instead of relying on guesswork. "Great UI, easy to work with but expensive"

3/5

What do you like best about Lucky Orange?

I like the ui of lucky orange it is very clean and easy to navigate. The creation of seperate profiles is also very convenient and we are able to view the history of each profiles and view their individual sessions. Being able to see what exactly they added to cart is another thing that i find beneficial. Its integration with shopify was very easy and it was simple for me to set up no issues and the support was good as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lucky Orange?

The pricing for one was expensive compared to the amount of viewers you were able to get. A problem I encountered was that it counted the bot sessions as views too and sometimes with surges in bot traffic lucky orange would record all of their sessions (which are usually between 3-5 seconds long) and as a result would use up the whole plan. We could not justify the cost from upgrading to the next tier Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Will Daniels of Lucky Orange

edit

Thank you for sharing your feedback! We’re thrilled to hear that our Shopify integration is helping you see how visitors experience your store and optimize for higher conversions.

We completely understand how frustrating bot traffic can be, especially when it consumes session limits. While no tool can prevent bots from visiting a public website, we’re glad Lucky Orange provided the clear visibility needed to spot those spikes. Being able to distinguish between essential search engine crawlers and unwanted bot traffic is a critical first step—it gives you the exact data needed to block those bots, keep your session counts clean, and protect your budget.

We’d love to take a closer look at your account and share specific tips on filtering out bot activity or IP ranges in your dashboard. Please reach out to us at support@luckyorange.com so our team can help you get the most out of your setup!

"Tracking Was Helpful, but Lucky Orange Slowed Our Site and the Upgrade Disappointed"

1.5/5

What do you like best about Lucky Orange?

I liked that we could track what customers were doing on our website. We could then diagnose problems without having to reach out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lucky Orange?

Lucky Orange slowed our website down significantly. We were told we needed to upgrade and after a few years (had to wait out or contract), we did. Then the "new better" version was worse than the previous. It didn't slow the website down but every chat had a fake random name and it missed a bunch of our customers interactions. We voiced our concerns and were told that they would maybe address it in a later version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Will Daniels of Lucky Orange

edit

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re truly sorry to hear about your experience with site load times and the delay you experienced when transitioning to our newer platform. We take performance very seriously and our code is designed to load asynchronously while also compressing files in transit to prevent any impact on site speed. Because of this, performance issues like this are rare, and we are sorry to hear you experienced this. We also always strive to make upgrades seamless—including allowing migrations mid-contract—so we regret that this wasn't your experience.

Regarding the visitor names: our platform automatically assigns randomized names specifically to protect visitor privacy and comply with data privacy regulations while still allowing you to track individual session behavior.

Because this review was left anonymously, we haven't been able to locate your account or past support tickets to investigate what happened. We’d love the opportunity to look into this and make things right. Please reach out to us directly at support@luckyorange.com so our team can assist you.

What do you like best about Lucky Orange?

The overall UI/UX of the tool is quite good, and the integration with GA is smooth. Will and the supporting team have been outstanding throughout. The newly launched AI feature is also useful for summarizing trends. Overall, the performance and ROI feel fairly in line with other tools on the market. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The best switch I made from a previous platform that was supposed to do the same thing!"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Lucky Orange?

I have always found the recordings that you see of people navigating your website to be a really good feature. It helps us see what typical steps people take and how we can improve the look and feel of our pages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lucky Orange?

As usual, it's just the buggy-ness of it sometimes. I think there are glitches that occur, but they generally get resolved on its own or quickly which is good to see. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Thank you so much for your review and feedback! Thrilled to hear how Lucky Orange has made a positive impact across your website! Being able to understand your visitors is invaluable. "Eye-Opening Insights, Must-Have for Web Developers"

5/5

What do you like best about Lucky Orange?

I really like being able to see what people do when they get to the website with Lucky Orange. It's not always easy to know how to organize data on a page, and the whole idea is to be able to get people to take an action. Seeing where they're going gives me insights. It's about the ability to see how your website visitors are looking at your website. That's the opportunity that Lucky Orange provides, and it's something that I find very beneficial. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lucky Orange?

I wish Lucky Orange had a desktop app that alerts me when someone visits my website. Right now, I have to keep it open in a browser to get notified, which isn't ideal for someone working at a desktop all day. Having a desktop icon or app that could alert me with a ding would be a great feature. Also, the initial setup had a bit of a learning curve, figuring out everything it can do, but once you get past that, it's easier to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
