# What's the best GDPR-compliant sales intelligence platform for teams prospecting into the EU without data privacy risks?

Hi G2 users! I'm putting together a comparison of sales intelligence platforms on this specific question: what's the best GDPR-compliant option for teams prospecting into the EU without data privacy risks? Most platforms make GDPR claims in their marketing, but the reviews tell a more specific story about how data is actually sourced and maintained, and that difference matters when legal or procurement gets involved. Here's what I found based on user reviews:

Cognism (4.5 stars, 1,346 reviews): Users in regulated industries consistently cite GDPR compliance and human-verified data sourcing as the primary reasons for choosing it, with Diamond Data described as mapping more clearly to lawful basis requirements than algorithmically updated alternatives.

Apollo.io (4.7 stars, 9,675 reviews): GDPR features exist, but European users surface more concerns about data coverage gaps in non-UK markets than about the compliance framework itself.

GTM Workspace by ZoomInfo (4.5 stars, 9,106 reviews): Enterprise-grade security is noted across reviews, though European compliance specifics come up far less frequently than they do for Cognism.

Wiza (4.5 stars, 1,227 reviews): Real-time LinkedIn sourcing keeps employment data current, reducing the risk of contacting people in roles they've already left.

Lusha (4.3 stars, 1,551 reviews): Comes up in EU-focused discussions as a lighter-weight option with European data considerations built in, though the database is smaller than the major platforms.

Which platform has given your team the most confidence on the compliance side in practice, not just from the product pages? And has the data sourcing method actually come up in internal legal or procurement conversations?

The question legal actually asks isn't "are you GDPR-compliant?" It's what lawful basis they have for holding the data and how they collected it. That's why sourcing matters more than any compliance badge: a documented sourcing trail is far easier to defend as a legal basis than data that was scraped and inferred, even when both tools wave the same certifications. Worth pulling the vendor's DPA and sub-processor list too, since that's where procurement's real questions usually land.
