Due to this being 1 person's "ownership" it was never changed for over 20 years, but now i have the ability to bring us into the 21st Century. ### 3. Easy to set up and quick to understand. I had tried several others before discovering Leave Dates and haven't looked back! I am able to personalise the leave types, decide what comes off the annual entitlement. Entitlement years can be Jan- Dec or Apr-Mar and all bank holiday allowances are included and the correct days leave deducted when bank holidays/weekends overlap. Sounds obvious, but some systems I tested didn't do this. **What do you dislike about Leave Dates?** If someone has booked a half day off and you have set the calendar to not permit 2 people off at the same time, Leave Dates still recognises that someone has booked time off even if one is in the morning and the other in the afternoon, so no overlap. Not a major problem as there are only 2 of us, but an improvement on this functionality could help bigger teams. **What problems is Leave Dates solving and how is that benefiting you?** Making booking of holidays, training and any other absence a doddle. About to enter our 3rd year of use, managers have suggested looking for alternatives to compare but it's been a firm no from me! It was really easy to onboard and manage the users via import/export functions. We moved from a spreadsheet system to LeaveDates, and our HR team workload was massively reduced. Our users, both salaried and weekly paid now book all their daily/hourly/weekly leave via LeaveDates. Really easy to use monthly wall chart that lets you see all staff at a glance and provides a trackable solution of approved leave for both management and staff. This makes planning so much easier and avoids staff having to ask what remaining leave they have available. Showing Allowance, Booked, Remaining to Book and Remaining to Take. Leave Dates also provides excellent customer service and have responded and resolved any queries I have had, the same day and are super friendly. This is solving three problems at once for us; easy time off requests, transparency for employees to know how much PTO they have, and a comany-wide calendar view so we are all aware of others' schedules. Simple and pretty intuitive for staff and management to use. Approvals can be delegated and all the steps in the process are transparent. Implementation was straightforward, no training needs just a quick 10 minute demo, plsu a few reminders. **What do you dislike about Leave Dates?** If holidays or sickness is taken but not booked before the end of the current month (e.g. if managment dont spot an unbooked absence (especially if its on the lst day of the month), you have to do a file upload to add the missing entries. Not the biggest issue but it's the one thing you can't amend within the app, you have to create an excel file, and then upload it into the app. Customer support however were very helpful in showing me how to do this. **What problems is Leave Dates solving and how is that benefiting you?** automation accurate record keeping Transparancy with staff and mangement re: amount of sickness, paid leave and unpaid leave taken.
