Finquery does a great job at understanding customer needs and then roadmapping them for future improvements. It would be nice to have the approval workflow go through multiple levels of review. In my current position, I am responsible for SEC reporting, and I have found that LeaseQuery offers an excellent selection of reports tailored specifically to the disclosure requirements of US GAAP. When leases expire, you have a decision to make on how you want to maintain historical records. You will have to pay to keep the leases in the system, or you can pay a reduced fee to archive them. You can also deleted them entirely to remove any fees, but then you lose the ability to view those leases in the future or produce any accurate historical schedules. LeaseQuery makes it quick and easy to create amortization schedules for all our leases of all types. The amortization schedules are clean and easy to follow, and upon implementation we were able to test the built in math of the amortization tables to achieve comfort. Like any software there are quirks in inputs the team will have to learn in order to achieve consistency in calculations and treatment across multiple leases. This may result in certain input conventions regarding rent payment dates and commencement dates which are not immediately obvious. The initial implementation required a significant amount of data cleanup on our end, which made onboarding feel a bit heavy at first. Entering leases can be somewhat challenging if you aren't very familiar with the lease details. However, with some troubleshooting around allocations, payment dates, and similar aspects, the process becomes much more manageable. The AI features also help make things more efficient. I personally like the most about LeaseQuery, because it brings all the lease information under a single roof. With the connection with Excel and QuickBooks, it is easy to create reports and compare metrics of the leases. I use it quite often due to the high number of features providing me with the possibility to manage obligations, payments, and expirations, as my accounting operations become much more structured. The only thing I do not like is that some of the reporting functions appear to be somewhat inflexible, particularly when one attempts to make them fit into unique lease situations. These limitations slow the analysis since they are used frequently. Although the number of features is robust, some of the more advanced features cannot be described as well-developed, and despite responsive customer service, certain workflow modifications require more effort than it ought to.
