**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

Collaborative working with my creative partner, or multiple other people inside the organisation.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

Missing some features that PowerPoint has. Slightly harder to integrate live video into elements for dramatic effect.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Deck building and presentations, both internally and to clients.

 ### 2. Keynote Makes Collaboration Easy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

Keynote allows collaborators to work on a project and make edits, notes, and suggestions.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

I don't like how it is in icloud and my storage is always too full. I don't want to pay for extra storage.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows collaborators to work together in real time.

 ### 3. One of the best tool for presentations with Live streaming

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dana Y. | Product Marketing Manager, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2018

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

- Our primary application to create presentations for our clients
- Quality of the templates. Implementation is very easy, we created a lot of presentations based on standard templates
- Animations. They are high quality and very smooth
- Web version. You can share your presentation with colleagues and edit this simultaneously even if your collegues don't have Mac computer
- Live streaming. Stream your presentation live only using link. Presentation live streaming can work not only on Mac's or Pc's but also on mobile. Just using browser
- Full iCloud integration to store files and sync them between devices
- We use Keynote to create reports for our clients every month on regular basis

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

- You can't stream voice during presentation
- Keynote is free only for new users
- You can export to Power Point format, but a lot of content becomes static, not all transitions are supported
- Not so much templates to choose from

**Recommendations to others considering Keynote:**

If you buy a new Mac you will get Keynote for free. You can share your presentations and edit this with web version using iCloud. Templates can speed up presentation creation, you don't need to be designer to create professional one.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keynote is a great tool for creating beautiful presentations with strong animations and beautiful templates. We use Keynote to prepare presentations for our clients with results of our work on monthly basis, if we need we can export presentation to PDF and just send to the client, very convinient. It's also a great too to do internal seminars for employees, so everybody can follow presentation using live streaming

 ### 4. Review of Keynote. With each slide I can better organize and communicate my ideas.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Human Resources | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

Keynote has many pre–designed and adaptable styles that give me the freedom to customize each element according to the occasion. Navigating through its interface is fluid even in moments of complex edits; it has transition effects and animations that are easy to apply and I use them to enrich my internal presentations and make them much more dynamic.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

More than not finding negative aspects I'm surprised that Keynote maintains consistency in its design and usability over time, it continues to have stable performance even in heavy documents which reinforces my confidence in continuing to use it.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's effective for designing presentations (onboarding modules, graphic routes or itineraries for conferences) that work not only as visual support but also as interactive tools. Keynote helps me to clearly structure ideas on slides and thus raise the level of my communicative experiences.

 ### 5. Keynote a slide show you can believe

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

I like slide shows because it's designed for creating visually appealing presentations, similar to Microsoft PowerPoint, by adding text, images, charts, and animations to slides.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

It does not work well with Android and Microsoft.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps teachers build presentations for their classrooms.

 ### 6. Basic and free presentation tool for Mac users

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nir L. | VP R&D, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

I am not a big fan, but the small things I do like are 1) the long list of possible animations (that used to be unique but is currently getting more trivial); 2) the ability to open the proprietary Keynote files that you might still have lying around somewhere; 3) the pricing (free for MacOS users); and 4) the fact that it can automatically animate existing presentations and create movie clips.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

Oh yes, Keynote used to be something special, back when it was Keynote vs PowerPoint. But as time went by more and more presentation tools emerged, and PowerPoint got better and better, and Keynote was left behind. The main dislikes are the lack of a web-based version, the boring and unappealing UI, the lack of connectivity outside the Apple ecosystem, and the lack of interesting tools and images. Compared to other presentation systems like Canva, Miro, and even PowerPoint, I find Keynote to be lacking in both strength and valor.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keynote is the tool for creating and editing presentations. It's available for free on the MacOS system so anyone can use it to open common presentation files. I am using Keynote to open older "Keynote" files and convert them to more common formats.

 ### 7. Good, But It Isn’t Great

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason B. | Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

It was already installed on my MacBook so I gave it a whirl. I like how simple it is. I've worked with other presentation software and a lot of them are just too overwhelming. This is pretty easy.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

When exporting for other programs, it doesn't always play nice. Fonts missing, formatting a mess, and some functions/transitions that are in Keynote don't mirror ones in other programs.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's easily accessible for our team. We switched over to Apple products a while back and decided to do this instead of Google Slides. It is better and more stable in my opinion.

 ### 8. Easy to make slides with a nice look

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephan C. | Líder CRM, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

Keynote is the perfect PowerPoint alternative; you can quickly make professional-looking slides, and it has features you can control from your Apple Watch when you're presenting

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

Some of the functions that Keynote has can be very limited; one of them is the animations, the variety is little, and you have to repeat some; the same happens with the templates.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use keynote for the presentation of our reports, it gives us the ability to easily move excel tables or numbers, photos from the iPhone or striking texts from the iPad

 ### 9. Apple Keynote Is Great!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David H G. | D, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

I can use across all mty devices, it works on the iPhone, iPad, and the MacBook Pro I have. It makes working on any presentation quite convenient. Extremely easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

Honestly, I do not dislike anything, it works, it's easy, and I have access to everything, there is nothing to dislike about it. It is even free to use no subscription needed.

**Recommendations to others considering Keynote:**

I highly recommend the use of Apple Keynote. It works great and is easy to use.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problems I am solving is how easy it is to use across multiple devices without any need of file conversion. The benefits are having it readily available when needed anywhere I am.

 ### 10. Can't believe more people don't use Keynote

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Graphic Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Keynote?**

I jumped into Keynote a few years ago and never looked back. I predominantly use its flawless ability to build animated sequences – from simple mini-presentations to fairly complex productions. It offers the ability to paste other Mac app images which is a real time saver.

**What do you dislike about Keynote?**

That it's Mac only and 99% of my clients are PC/Windows based and limited to Powerpoint. I've even showed clients how good it is and frustrated we can't readily share files.

**What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

From my perspective – it just 'works' – and it fits perfectly with my Mac-based workflow. The tools are intuitive and it integrates seamlessly with the other Apple apps Pages and Numbers.
