My favorite thing about Kontent.ai is how genuinely user‑friendly it is. The interface is clean, intuitive, and easy to navigate, which makes content creation feel seamless rather than overwhelming. The task assignment feature is especially helpful — I can assign specific components or entire content items to teammates, track progress, and keep workflows organized without needing separate project‑management tools.

**What do you dislike about Kontent.ai?**

One downside of Kontent.ai for a food company is the ingredients integration workflow. Now that we’ve uploaded thousands of products and recipes, the platform can feel overwhelming to navigate at times. When I create a new recipe for the site, I have to add a new ingredient entry every single time — even if that ingredient already exists in the system. This is usually because each recipe requires a different cut, size, or measurement, and there isn’t a universal dropdown or a flexible way to reuse existing ingredient variations. As our library grows, this becomes increasingly time‑consuming and makes ingredient management more complex than it needs to be.

**What do you like best about Kontent.ai?**

What stands out most for me is the flexibility of the content model. We use it as a headless CMS to power two separate websites, and the ability to design content types that match our exact needs makes a real difference. One feature I especially appreciate is language fallback. When a translation isn’t available, Kontent.ai automatically falls back to the preconfigured fallback language, which keeps the editorial workflow smooth and avoids the need to create duplicate content.

**What do you dislike about Kontent.ai?**

The content modelling flexibility is excellent, but the field configuration options lack depth. For example, you can’t define a field’s output data type: a single-select (radio) element still comes through as an array which pushes type handling into your own codebase. Calculated or derived fields are also missing. While they’re technically achievable, it’s only by building and hosting your own data-processing layer outside the CMS. For teams trying to keep their tech stack lean, these gaps feel like areas the platform itself should cover.

Kontent.ai aims to be the single platform for all your content: websites, apps, digital signage, print, you name it. When it comes to structured content delivery across multiple channels, it does this well.
What’s missing to fully deliver on that promise is content federation: the ability to pull external content sources into Kontent.ai and make it a true single source of truth. Without that capability, developers still have to stitch multiple sources together in a separate layer, which is exactly the kind of complexity a platform like this should be removing.

I use Kontent.ai primarily for managing and publishing content for the Omni platform. Kontent.ai helps solve several challenges in managing content efficiently for the Omni Platform, mainly consistency across large volumes of content. With its structured content model, it ensures that content is organized and reusable, which reduces duplication and errors. I can manage everything in one place, from editing content to publishing updates. It allows different teams to work together more effectively, review updates, and ensure accuracy before publishing. I like the support they provide; the team is responsive and helpful whenever we run into issues or have questions. The combination of strong support, structured content, and smooth workflows makes it a very effective tool for managing content. The initial setup of Kontent.ai was fairly straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Kontent.ai?**

One feature that would be really helpful is a recycle bin or a recovery option for deleted content, so items can be easily restored if something is removed by mistake.

Kontent.ai is a solid headless CMS if you want structured content and clean API's to deliver it where you need. It gives you the usual basics like content modeling, roles and workflow, plus preview so you can check things before publishing. Setup can take a bit of thought, especially if your content model is complex. But once it is in place it is easyto run day to day.

**What do you dislike about Kontent.ai?**

the modelling UI can feel a bit constrained, so some changes take longer than you would expect. It also takes discipline to keep the content library clean, otherwise you end up with too many similar elements and inconsistent naming. And when multiple teams are creating items, it is easy for the structure to drift unless you keep on top of it.

It solves the challenge of managing content for websites in multiple languages by letting you create and maintain translations in one place. It supports flexible content modelling so you can build structures that match your needs rather than forcing you into a rigid template. It’s quite easy to use, and the support is really fast. There are also many options to choose from, which makes it flexible for different needs.

If you have large websites, it can be quite difficult for new employees to learn their way around the system, although I think that’s a general issue with other CMS platforms as well. I’d also appreciate it if the names of components could be filled in automatically based on the content inside.

We came from a pure HTML CMS, and the main issue was that people without coding knowledge had no real chance to edit the content on our pages. This software makes it possible to involve many more people who don’t have coding skills, so they can create, edit, and publish content themselves. Which is big time saver!

Kontent.ai is an easy-to-use platform. In that same ilk, it has made my life easier. I appreciate my job more, and I could speak highly of Kontent and recommend it others without hesitation.

There are many different things that could possibly be improved upon. That is most definitely a case-by-case situation. Kontnent does it best to prevent and meet issues head on.

The initial setup was straightforward, with extensive support from the team. The robust API and webhook system simplify content management and syncing with other systems. Their responsive support is commendable, with timely problem resolution and knowledgeable staff. As a developer, I find the clear documentation particularly useful.

Kontent does their thing pretty good. The only consern that i have is that they are maybe focussing a bit too much on AI and forgetting some other parts that are also important for us like working with an item with multiple languages or API responses that can be improved.

Kontent.ai centralizes our content, streamlining translation by integrating with our Translation agency, eliminating manual exchanges and automating steps, which saves time and reduces errors.

Price is a bit steap. But stability makes this good.

MACH architecture helps us building a solution that can shift where needed. The Kontent.ai content repo helps us with our omnichannel strategy and have a solid content base. Re-use content. Multi-language market. We are using it now for 5 years and it's a real stable solution.

**What do you like best about Kontent.ai?**

As a full stack developer a tend to give more value to how much effort is needed to integrate into additional platforms. Easily configured webhooks, well documented and easy to use feature rich APIs makes Kontent.ai one of the most enjoyable platforms to create integrations for. With minimal effort I've been able to create an automatic translation service, an Algolia indexer and a few other integrations. In all cases the ease of implementation of Kontent.ai's suite of APIs was the least painful aspect. It's truely a joy to develop for. It's GUI is simple yet powerful and I haven't heard any negative remarks about Kontent.ai from the contents I've trained on the system.

**What do you dislike about Kontent.ai?**

I'm not the biggest fan of their payment model and wish some aspects could be increased or decreased based on needs. It's easy to have content model bloat or overly complex models because of variations. I wish there was a way to conditionally show or hide certain content model fields and content models.

The upsides are that it provides content editors with a vast range of flexibility for building out pages of website content. The ability to add and remove blocks of content across multiple page templates helps the user to create consistent web pages that look great across mobile, tablet and desktop. Furthermore the headlesss nature of Kontent allows us to integrate other third party applications with ease. We also get great support from our agency partner as well as our customer service team at Kontent directly. We're continually kept in the loop as to what new features are coming and how they can help us.

It can be quite time consuming to use but that is a fair trade off for a platform that offers so much flexibility.

I don't like that you can't update a photo without having the url change that was associated with it to begin with. If you could update a photo but also keep the same url, that would be nice.

Kontent.ai being headless and API first definitely has a major advantage over other monolithic systems by using its "microservice architecture" and giving an experience that is fast to compose and deliver to channel visitors.

Adoptation to headless and getting clients to understand what "headless" truely is and what it can do for them can be a struggle.  With a headless system this does put the responsibility onto the client and/or systems IT personnel to maintain several front facing platforms and tools vs one platform update.  However, I do beleive this task is outweighed by the advantages of headless being omnichannel.

Most of our customers that require or will benefit from a headless system typically have multiple in house systems that needs to be accounted for when designing their new digital solution.  Kontent.ai allows an easy and seamless integration into many current client CRM, ERP, or eCommerce systems.

Kontent.ai works with so many different tech stacks from .NET, React, Angular, PHP, Android, etc. The Developer documentation is robust and getting started with the solution is very easy. My experience with the AE working with our company was phenomenal as he was incredibly responsive in helping get all our questions resolved. Additionally, the ability to utilize the developer mode for free during evaluation allowed us to create a solid POC before moving forward.

**What do you dislike about Kontent.ai?**

I would love to see additional integrations formed with 3rd party vendors. Currently, the library of integrations is limited, however, I suspect this will grow as the platform grows in popularity. More of a personal grip that is not a major issue but I dislike the name. It is difficult when talking about the CMS internally as the name is Kontent but sounds like "Content" which often can confuse. We have been calling it Kentico.

Kontent.ai is solving the problem of too much architecture required by traditional CMS systems to function. Additionally, headless deployment is often more secure and much faster OOTB compared to traditional CMS solutions. I love how easy it is to customize components as much as I need to.
I use Kontent as a headless CMS with Next.js and the API is easy to configure, with a quick response time and efficient filtering.
I was also able to add a Cloudinary integration in a matter of minutes which is a nice bonus for my use case.

Not much I can think of.
Maybe a bit more typing on the JS SDK, it would be nice to have extended types for components containing other components instead of "Elements.RichTextElement".

We need to have all of our pages editable by multiple people in the company, while not taking too much bandwidth from the web dev team.
Kontent is the perfect solution as we're able to reproduce the shape of every component of every page easily (using content models within content models) and to build the entire website with content coming from Kontent.
With the Next.js tech-stack, we don't even have to rebuild the website every time a change is made in Kontent, it's instantaneously available.
We are also able to translate the website into many different languages quickly that's a big plus for us.

No of operations to do a simple create is bit too many. create an item, lang variant, upsert,etc. why not just one call , that does everything behind the scenes, because most cases, all users want is upsert a record.  I felt like the management sdk can be improved. Kentico main content and assets page search functionality can be improved, it takes a while when there are too many content items.

we don't have to think about building a backend API layer and admin screens to maintain them anymore. That's one less thing to worry about when building web apps.

I love that I can get things started by building new models based on the marketing or business goals but also have my hands on how it works to ensure it will be easy to maintain. Having a tool likes this helps bridge gaps beetween business and IT.

It can be kind of expensive, sometimes user roles have been less flexible than I would like, controlling who can edit what can be a little tricky if you don't plan far enough ahead.

Kontent.ai is a fast and efficient cloud-based CMS that offers an easy separation between content and code for website development. It allows content makers to use a simple and friendly online interface to edit website content. The codebase of the website can be version-controlled easily and relies on API calls for content. This also enables a choice of development platforms and languages.

We are now migrating all our websites to it, and the feedback from our content editors has been extremely positive also.

**What do you dislike about Kontent.ai?**

More flexibility around environments would be an improvement. And the contributor field is a bit annoying because it causes email notifications, does not automatically set to the most recent editors, nor unset from them after items are published. There are a few other features we don't really use as well, like "Tasks".

**Recommendations to others considering Kontent.ai:**

Would recommend this system if your company has developers capable of building a new website from scratch, to access the Kentico Kontent Delivery API. The primary advantage of a headless CMS like this, over a full hosted CMS, are more lightweight, faster websites.

The business problems being addressed through use of Kontent.ai are many, and include: 
- Website speed
- Ease of version control
- Build/deployment speed

Kontent.ai e-learning stands out. The authoring app is pretty clean and straightforward for a rookie, and I've had a fair share of content management solutions over the last two decades. What I was desperately in need of was understanding what headless content infrastructure is all about, how to model content, how to build a single source of truth for all the company's content, and — more importantly — why!

**What do you dislike about Kontent.ai?**

I didn't find anything to dislike — I was ready to start thinking differently about content and content management, and learning the new, more semantic approach. Although I acknowledge that the prospect of beginning with a "blank canvas" might be daunting for many people out there looking for a modern, future-proof solution.

We have had countless sources of disconnected content scattered over the company. It wasn't just the user-facing content on our webpage which was unhappily married to its form of presentation, but all the underlying content that is telling the story of our products and services which lived in domain silos, disconnected channels and forms unsuited for reuse. Not infrequently duplicated and deprecated. The platform is user-friendly and it is easy to learn how to navigate it. Our team manages multiple websites and multiple external vendors, and it is easy to manage different accesses on the projects. It is great to be able to develop new code that is available for each website but to be able to manage each one separately, so you can push a new functionality on one website and not the other. Setting up personalized workflows has been great as well to help the management of new content production and to avoid things getting published by accident.

No downsides found yet! Our team needs to learn to manage comments and tasks better, but that is not on the platform, we just need to set better internal processes.

**What do you like best about Kontent.ai?**

The speed at which you can input content, build sites, and upload or change images is incredibly fast. Compared to Sitecore, using Kontent is a dream. Being able to migrate a webpage in under 10 minutes has been an incredible win.

**What do you dislike about Kontent.ai?**

There are minor teething issues - like hyperlinking to a content item opens all your content collections rather than the one you're currently working in - but they are easy to work around, and the benefits outweigh any minor cons.

**Recommendations to others considering Kontent.ai:**

If you're looking for a CMS that's usable by users of many different skill levels, Kontent is a great option.

**What problems is Kontent.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Webpage load speed and staff satisfaction have both improved with Kontent. Both our customers and staff have seen benefits. Being able to upload images more intuitively than our previous CMS reduces wasted time and increases efficiency. It also allows staff with increased expertise to focus on projects that utilise their skills better, while lower level staff can solve issues on their own (as Kontent is more intuitive)

**What do you like best about Kontent.ai?**

Custom elements. Being able to iframe in custom components unlocked the ability for us to use adobe's digital asset manager inside of Kontent by developing a custom asset selector that lets customers use the DAM and not duplicate assets into Kontent.

**What do you dislike about Kontent.ai?**

I think the management API for JS is a little complicated for being able to write custom scripts to accomplish things like importing slugs into content models via webhooks

**Recommendations to others considering Kontent.ai:**

A versatile solution for decoupled websites and applications that adapts to enterprise needs. This is a great tool for building modern websites using framworks such as react and gatsby. Kontent integrates well with gatsby by provding a plugin to use graphQL for a lightweight approach to static site generators.

**What problems is Kontent.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Speeding up development time by being able to have a consistent method for including content even though the models might change the api is consistent and predictable. By having a flexible platform we can house all our projects under one roof and model each project uniquely with the flexibility to be able to solve specific client needs.
