# What is the most affordable PDF editor for SMBs?

<p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">Hi G2 people. I’m trying to figure out the most affordable <a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/categories/pdf-editor">PDF editor</a> for SMBs. Smaller businesses like ours need reliable PDF tools, but budget is always a concern. The challenge is finding something that covers the essentials without forcing us into expensive enterprise plans.</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">What I want in the tool:</p><ul>
<li>Affordable pricing that scales as the team grows</li>
<li>Core features like editing, annotations, and merging/splitting PDFs</li>
<li>Easy sharing and collaboration without extra add-ons</li>
<li>Security features to protect business documents</li>
</ul><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">Here are a few tools I have been looking at:</p><ul>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/wondershare-wondershare-pdfelement/reviews">Wondershare PDFelement</a>: Offers editing, annotation, and forms at a lower price point. Does it hold up well for SMB workflows?</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/updf/reviews">UPDF</a>: Focused on being cost-effective while covering essential PDF editing needs. Is it reliable enough for daily use?</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/smallpdf/reviews">Smallpdf</a>: Web-based and lightweight, with editing and conversion features. Does it provide enough functionality for SMB teams that need more than the basics?</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/foxit-pdf-editor/reviews">Foxit PDF Editor</a>: Often seen as a lower-cost alternative to Adobe. Is it affordable enough for SMBs while still offering advanced features?</li>
</ul><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">For those who’ve used these platforms:</p><ul>
<li>Which PDF editor has given you the best value for money?</li>
<li>Do SMBs usually get by with lightweight tools, or is it worth investing in a fuller platform?</li>
<li>Any hidden costs (like storage, e-signatures, or collaboration add-ons) that surprised you?</li>
</ul><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">Thanks for sharing. I think this will help a lot of small businesses choose smarter without overspending.</p>
