Kantata Professional Services Automation (formerly Mavenlink+ Kimble) Reviews & Product Details

Love the easy functionality and ability to do custom reporting. Time tracking is simple and I love how project burn is clearly tracked across various views in this system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We wish there were more functionality to go deeper on the resourcing function and track updates against burn in a more intuitive way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Carrying over the previous weeks job codes for easy reference and continuing workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There are times adjust the hours, because I may have inputting an error, is not intuitive and an extra step or two occurs or the change doesn't seem to stick...if that makes sense. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The different reports have been helpful in improving our invoicing process. I wish there was more flexibility, but the reports have allowed us to create what we need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I wish there were more feature releases. Since getting Mavenlink/Kantata 4 years ago, it seems as though there haven't been any "big" new releases. I also wish there was more flexibility in invoicing, financials, approving time, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I find it very helpful for coordinating tasks and managing delivery deadlines with my team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

You can get lost with so many functions that I personally don't use. It might be best to have dedicated layouts for techs, managers, PM, etc Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It’s definitely time for tools like this to include native AI to support their work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Everything looks great overall, but I really think there should be a demo version available before making the actual purchase. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The reporting is the most useful piece for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The UI is dated and it can be clumsy to use. The AI is not very helpful. We spend a lot of time resourcing and bulk operations could be better designed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The reporting tool has allowed us to build strong dashboards. We have an integration in Sage to support invoicing and forecasting that is very helpful also. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We need to hire a consultant for any changes as the integration is quite complex. The timesheets could also have additional buildout to make it easier for the team to enter time but enter details as to task and time spent Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Kantata has become my preferred project management software. Over the past eight years, I have used it at three different companies, and it consistently meets all my project management needs. What I appreciate most about Kantata is that it serves as a comprehensive solution, allowing me to build projects, manage budgets, forecast allocations, and schedule team members all in one place. I have yet to find another platform that handles all these tasks as effectively. The scheduling feature, which integrates seamlessly with planned work, stands out as one of its most valuable aspects. Additionally, the reporting capabilities are truly exceptional.

I also find their customer service to be pretty helpful when trying to figure something out, finding a bug or making feature requests. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Reporting can be somewhat challenging if you lack a solid understanding of how to construct the specific reports you require. I also find that communication within tasks could be clearer and more straightforward; we've actually had to create some guidelines to ensure that important messages aren't overlooked. I like the fact that they are always available and they engage positively Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I dislike the fact that majority of the support query raised gets referred to their dev team who require extra payment to do the work Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I think the most helpful feature is how intuitive it is. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I wish it had more customization. There are many things that we'd like to see it do but there are some restrictions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
