I love the platform's ease of use both as a creator at the university and as a manager working with our instructional designers and professors and providing access to all available when using Kaltura. The Blackboard integration is seamless, and they are consistently working with us to update the services. The PATH tool is a unique way to engage students with our video content, and the Kaltura quizzing feature is a great tool for knowledge checks throughout a course that ties directly to the grade book. I use it daily to review videos created by my team, and when I run into issues, the team at Kaltura always goes above and beyond to resolve the issues and get us back on track. In the 21st century, developing professional-level skills in digital communication is particularly critical for personal and team success. The only improvement I would suggest is to make provision for multiple persons to concurrently participate in making a recording. At present, we reply on video conferencing platforms to create team-based presentations. In addition, it would be helpful if integrating a digital background would be possible, much like what you see in Zoom and MS Teams digital image-based backgrounds. Pretty much everything: from the system itself, how it was designed and perfected over the years to adapt to users' needs, adding more and more functionalities, while keeping everything working well and smooth, the UI, the customer support team, everything. Kaltura Video Cloud is a solution for higher education institutions due to its ease of use, ability to integrate with Zoom and Canvas, and support. I've had the pleasure of helping maintain our College's relationship with Kaltura for well over 10 years. It's an extraordinary platform and a terrific company, and I must say that I've never been disappointed by their products or their support. That's saying a lot because I'm particular. :-)

The best thing about Kaltura Video cloud is the ease with which it integrates with the LMS and Zoom. For example, integration within the rich content editor is so seamless. Added benefit is both the faculty and students have the same user experience when using My Media, video editing and embedding their videos into RCE. I call this uniform user experience a benefit because students do not have to look elsewhere for their video assignment needs. IN regards to Zoom, with the integration between our LMS, Zoom and Kaltura, the integration bewteen Kaltura and Canvas is 99% of the time reliable and seamless. When we selected Kaltura, few factors that helps our decision were the ease of use, seamless integration with Canvas LMS, affordable price, number of features, and customer support. Another best feature is the chat option with live customer support member. It saves time and frustration when we have the ability to talk to a live customer support team member to help resolve issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Like any product, of course, there is room for improvement. One of the feature that is missing is the ability to add videos to Modules within Canvas LMS. Some faculty ask for the feature and we have give them a workaround. Another feature that sometimes has some glitches is the analytics and video quiz data, sometimes the data is not accurate. It's a great tool that integrates well into Brightspace seamlessly with single sign on for all users. The implementation team is great and future customer care support is helpful. There is tons of access in the back end to edit video data, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There are often 'access denied' issues that users have to troubleshoot because of the third party cookies. It usually is for the first time a user logs in, and although easy to troubleshoot it can be startling. Also the idea of the Management Console, Mediaspace and LMS framework can be confusing when starting out but after use and explanation, it is comprehendable. Kaltura HAS been a very good media solution. Today, it is in transition and is lacking in a few areas.

We are lucky enough to have unlimited storage and streaming.

Changing the integration into our LMS (Canvas) is a pain and doesn't offer 100% surety that our past embeds will still function. Plus, the new player isn't ADA compliant yet, while we are being forced to upgrade to that player. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
