"Centralized Management Made Easy, But Setup and Reporting Could Improve"
5/5
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

I like JumpCloud because it provides centralized identity and device management, supports Windows, macOS, and Linux, and integrates smoothly with Google Workspace and Microsoft 365. It offers easy policy control, and has clear reporting and auditing all from one simple cloud-based console. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

I dislike that JumpCloud can be complex to configure at first, some advanced features need higher plans, and policy deployment can take time to sync. Also, reporting options are limited compared to larger IAM tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to Use with Robust Mobile and Identity Management Features"
5/5
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

This product is easy to use and offers a wide range of features for managing mobile devices and identities. The support team responds quickly and effectively to customer needs and requests. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

I don't have any particular complaints. The platform has been reliable for us, and we have no plans to move away from JC unless the cost becomes too high. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best platform for SSO login"
5/5
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

JumpCloud provides a simple, centralized platform for user and device management. It saves time by automating IT tasks and enhances security with features like SSO, MFA, and cross-platform device management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

The Login with JumpCloud option is not always reliable. After users enter their credentials, the login process sometimes remains stuck on the loading screen instead of completing successfully. This inconsistent behavior impacts the user experience. Additionally, the Access Request workflow and Software Catalog could be improved by making them more intuitive, faster, and easier to navigate. "Robust Support and Usability"
5/5
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

I like that JumpCloud has good support when needed, and it's mostly easy to use. Whenever I've reached out to support for an issue, they're quick to respond and knowledgeable. They join sessions to assist me in real-time and don't always try to force a chatbot instead of a human. I had an excellent technical account manager who helped make switching IDPs pretty straightforward. I like the consistent addition of features that bring JumpCloud up to par with other platforms, like the ability to 'nest' user groups, which was a big function from Okta that made migration easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

We have some admin accounts that can't have passwords managed by JumpCloud, which makes it difficult for our admins to stay compliant with elevated accounts. There are some functionalities that Okta did better. For example, the ability to 'nest' user groups was a big function in Okta, and it was difficult to migrate to JumpCloud because of the absence of that feature initially. "Responsive Platform with Strong Directory Integration"
5/5
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

I really appreciate JumpCloud being extremely responsive to customer demands and feedback. It's been great that every feature I've hoped for seems to come out soon, showing that JumpCloud listens to their users and incorporates feedback into future releases. Additionally, the initial setup of JumpCloud was very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

There are just a couple of areas of device management that would be great to improve upon. One that just showed up recently is we rolled out JumpCloud password manager, and I was a little disappointed to see that there was no prepackaged, software or app install option for JumpCloud Password Manager specifically in JumpCloud's vault or in JumpCloud's software repository. So just really small things like that, but for the most part, very satisfied. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"JumpCloud: Feature-Rich Without the Feature Bloat"
5/5
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

JumpCloud combines AD, identity management, MDM, and asset inventory into a single platform that is easy to deploy and manage. One of its greatest strengths is the pace of innovation. New functionality is released frequently, often based on customer feedback, and the additions feel thoughtfully designed and practical rather than unnecessary "fluff" features. The result is a platform that stays modern while remaining intuitive and efficient to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

The biggest challenge with JumpCloud is industry adoption. Compared to some larger competitors, I've observed that new SaaS platforms often release native integrations for other identity providers before supporting JumpCloud. This can result in fewer native SSO options and a greater reliance on SAML 2.0-based configurations. To continue closing that gap, JumpCloud should maintain its focus on delivering well-designed, impactful features that solve real customer problems. As the platform continues to mature and gain traction, I have already seen more platforms with native integrations than even a year ago. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Robust SSO and AD Management with Minor Legacy Issues"
4/5
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

I love the SSO preconfigurations and how JumpCloud enables remote connections to devices to resolve their issues. It's our main source of truth for SSO, AD sync, MDM, and password vault, and no other tools quite match what it's used for. The initial setup years back was smooth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

Some of the SSO configurations are outdated, so a refresh to the apps would be nice. The password vault has run into issues, especially with the legacy version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Sleek Admin Dashboard and Solid Access Control, but a Buggy Password Manager"
3.5/5
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

Jumpcloud is really great to consolidate identity providers and manage user access at an administrator level. The design of the admin dashboard is sleek and simple to use. The more complex aspects of the product are often the downfall. The password manager is clunky and poorly built. It is riddled with bugs and doesn't work nearly as smoothly as Dashlane. The AI functionality they offer just feels like bloat and there is no nice way to get them to stop pushing it in your face. The price is reasonable for this kind of a platform and there is support for lots of external connectors. The account management team is great and really responsive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

Jumpcloud Password Manager is really terribly built. It stands no chance against its competitors. It regularly fails for me, and produces annoying pop-ups about updating and logging in again even if I'm doing something else. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ One Console for Identity, MDM, and Patching at Scale"
4.5/5
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

JumpCloud consolidates identity, MDM, SSO, and conditional access into one console, which has been a strong fit for managing our 400+ user bilingual fleet across two domains and two offices.

What we rely on most:

Cross-platform MDM — managing mixed macOS and Windows from one place, with scripts and policies scoped to device groups.

SSO and conditional access — integrates cleanly with our SaaS stack (Google Workspace, Slack, Vanta, Keeper, and others) and enforces device trust without a separate ZTNA product.

API and Directory Insights — the API is genuinely usable for SRE-style automation, and audit logs help with both troubleshooting and Vanta compliance evidence.

An unexpected benefit has been operational scale: bulk policy rollouts, group changes, and fleet-wide remediations are quick, and the agent self-corrects most drift on check-in. It lets a small IT team manage a large fleet with governance that would normally take three or four separate tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

A few areas where we've felt friction:

Third-party app patching gap — DDM-based patch policies only handle OS-level updates, so third-party app patching still requires custom scripting or external tooling. A native software update mechanism for non-OS apps (without local admin rights) would be a meaningful gap-closer.

SCIM and SAML customization — limited flexibility on some SAML attribute mappings and SCIM provisioning workflows. For more complex SaaS integrations, we sometimes end up working around the connector rather than configuring it cleanly.

Admin Console performance and UX — bulk actions and large device/user list views can feel sluggish, and some workflows still require multiple clicks across separate panels (e.g., role/policy/device association edits) that could be consolidated.

Command results visibility — commandresults only surfaces commands run through the JumpCloud command system, not ad-hoc terminal activity, which limits its usefulness as a full audit trail for device-side actions.

Documentation depth on advanced API/automation use cases — the basics are well covered, but for SRE-style workflows (systeminsights queries, conditional logic in commands, edge-case error handling) we often have to piece things together from community forums or trial and error.

None of these are blockers — they're refinements we'd like to see as JumpCloud continues to mature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great SSO and unified access, but password sync and LDAP setup need polish"
3.5/5
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

The identity and SSO integration is really amazing. In contrast to clunky legacy access portals, it centralizes app logins, VPN authentication, and SSH access for dev servers into one unified platform. The background desktop agent works smoothly on Linux and macOS without causing system lag or editor slowdowns. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

The password sync and session timeouts can occasionally be aggressive, requiring extra MFA prompts during long coding sessions. Additionally, configuring custom LDAP or API connections can sometimes feel less intuitive compared to modern developer-first IAM frameworks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
