I like how easy it is to control access to each computer and install the software assigned to employees. I also love the interface and how easy it is to manage. The software for employees is super easy to install and quickly associates with the company's account to allow remote management of computers. Another thing I highly value is remote access to the console and the ability to lock the computer's hard drive, which is very valuable for security issues. The initial setup was also super easy, just had to install the provided software. Additionally, I would highly recommend JumpCloud because the interface and software are very good, although the price might be a bit high for a small company, but accessible with few users. I find the JumpCloud admin interface a bit complex or confusing at first, especially when it comes to adding users. We had an issue where we added users who shouldn't have been there because they were of a different type, not computers. It would be helpful to have better ease or something to improve that process of assigning users to computers and accounts. That was confusing at first. I really appreciate that JumpCloud natively supports Windows, macOS, and Linux, all within a single console. The zero trust model that JumpCloud employs is fantastic, effectively bridging gaps with Identity and Access Management (IAM) and endpoint management without involving third parties. The platform works particularly well for Cloud deployment, which is crucial for us. I find the Single Sign-On (SSO) and SAML support to be very robust, with a wide range of supported applications. I've noticed that some macOS app deployments are not being successfully implemented, and it seems there may be a need for advanced endpoint controls on macOS. Also, more pre-built integrations could help reduce the administrative workload. It would be beneficial to have more conditional access limitations, and improving reporting and visibility would be great. For instance, having granular location detection across all devices would be a valuable feature. The product could benefit from more pre-built configurations and stronger reporting capabilities. It’s easy to use and has a lot of features that cover many needs, which helped us solve several issues we were trying to work through. I previously used Microsoft Intune as an MDM in my last org. It had some limited features for handling Apple devices. After I started working with Jumpcloud in my current org, it feels like one of the best tools available for managing Apple devices efficiently and effectively. Although everything seems fine so far while working with JumpCloud, I did face an issue when manually enrolling my devices. Accounts, laptops and app logins all sit in one place, so setting up one user gives them their Mac account, single sign-on and the security policies at once, and suspending them removes all of it again. What I like the most is the centralization and operational ease it offers. I especially highlight the simplicity of deploying agents massively and transparently on the employees' different devices (regardless of the operating system). Additionally, the console allows us to monitor in real-time if the devices are on and connected, and its ability to remotely access through Remote Assist greatly facilitates immediate technical support without the need to resort to third-party tools. There are two separate logins or interfaces for admin and regular users, which can be confusing. I also noticed a strange glitch: if a password isn’t set before enabling federation for a user, their passwords won’t sync properly. I love that JumpCloud is an all-in-one system for managing users and devices, making the feature set fantastic. The JumpCloud web-console simplifies managing all the disparate aspects of the service, which I find very convenient. Additionally, the ability to push out fine-tuned settings for Macs, PCs, and Linux machines using various shell scripts, registry edits, and plist files is something I really like. JumpCloud has significantly streamlined advanced device management with features like pushing software updates and software installs. The biggest thing that could use major improvements is the password manager. While the existing password manager works just fine, it is fairly rudimentary with a pretty basic interface. In addition, the browser extension can be buggy and doesn't always autofill user/pass for websites correctly.
